Best dog trainer around! Heather has helped us immensely with two reactive large dogs. We have tried numerous other trainers with very little result. They either man handled our dogs (which made them worse) or tried other avoidance methods which did not help correct the underlying issue. Heather gets to the root of the problem and works with you to correct it. Heather has an undeniable love for dogs which in turn makes your dog love her. She is well versed in all types of behavior and training techniques. She does not just try to train behaviors out of dogs, she tries to get to the root of the behavior and figures out the best way to redirect and correct the unwanted behavior. She not only trains your dog but trains you as well. I highly recommend this trainer above all others. Your dog will thank you for it!

Heather is the best dog trainer ever!!! We have been working with her for months with our 1 year old deaf puppy and could not be more pleased with the results. The progress our fur baby has made is better than ever expected and we owe it to Heather. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

WOW. Look no further if you are having issues with your fur faces. I have heard over the years about this amazing dog trainer who worked with aggressive dogs, but never thought her services would work for me. I have two Dauchshunds who are 5 and 7 years old and tried absolutely everything to get them to stop peeing in the house. My house was an embarrassment and I take full responsibliity for my lack of vigilance. See, I had a golden retriever and NEVER had a problem with him. I thought for sure that my dogs were hopeless. I moved to a new town and a new house and was scared to death that they would ruin this house. So I called Heather. She gave me some ideas, and I was more than willing to try them. The dogs have not had ONE accident in the house, are coming back when I call them immediately. Heather is different than other trainers. She is passionate about dogs, gentle and throws the conventional training out the window.
I don’t even live anywhere near her and was able to get life changing advice over the PHONE.

I have been working with Heather with our female 19 month old German Shepherd now for 2 months and I am IMPRESSED — JOYFUL — and THANKFUL.
Although I had socialized our girl from the day she came home as a puppy, a trauma where she got her lower eyelid ripped apart while at her breeder’s for some «in house training» caused her to be fearful of all other dogs. Even little ones.
Initially my dog would put on a big bluster at just the first sight of another dog. Her way of saying keep away. Heather the trainer handled it great, and kept reinforcing the positive behavior, when she would see another dog, giving her praise and rewards (food and hugs) when she was calm.
She showed me how to respond so I could reinforce the training between sessions. She helped me keep positive and believe we could help through teaching a new behavior. Slowly we saw progress and soon she was able to be within a short distance of a group of dogs, even lie down on the floor watching them. I was so awesome I had tears of joy of the progress achieved through training from The Doggy Llama’s skill, and behavioral knowledge.
Heather’s upbeat positive and calm training skills are fabulous. Today we took training to a local park. The Doggy Llama and my son came brought their dogs to help my girl to see the positive in encounters. We have made such success my girl was able to walk around the park with them, and even calmly rest in a down within a few feet of the new dog.
Heather has also come to our home to work with both our dog with greetings at the front door, in their own environment, coaching us to understand techniques that immediately made a difference.
