I was super stoked about getting an appt for an eyelash fill with short notice… then decided since on their fb it says full sets are $ 130, I thought, «well, might as well do a new set since so many have fallen out!» And I get done with my appt to her saying, «that’ll be $ 200.» UMMM… won’t be back.

Stephany is amazing! Authentic, passionate, real and true. I adore her salon and the rainbow of clientele The Colour Bar serves. Beautiful women of ALL ages. (Not just women either.)
If I wasn’t on the OTHER end of ANOTHER valley, that’s where I’d still be coming for beautiful color and fabulous service. I first met Stephany years ago when she was in Studio City. So proud of her opening her own salon. :)
I have had Krystal’s waxing services as well as make up. She is great. Its so convenient to come to one location and get all your feminine pruning needs met! Just plan accordingly and book ahead.
I do need to return for my favorite make up products though. Best foundation and pink egg thing.
This review is better late than never!

I’ve been going to Dani for almost 5 years now and can’t imagine going to anyone or anywhere else. She’s so amazing at what she does and she goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable while being in the chair. I’ve been with Dani when she had a few different assistants and I loved them all. Dani does an amazing job when it comes to training them so if you get one of them to do your hair know that you are in good hands!
I’ve also been going to Kristal for my eyebrows and she is absolutely the eyebrow goddess!
I have thick eyebrows so it’s hard going anywhere else because they never know how to handle it but Kristal does an amazing job! No matter where I go I always get stopped for my eyebrows and I have Kristal to thank for that!
Overall walking into the Colour Bar wether you get Dani, Kristal or someone else, know that you will be greeted at the door with a smile and will be in excellent hands! The atmosphere is way different then other salons and all the employees here are genuinely nice so no matter who you get I promise you won’t regret it.

Shurie is a color genius! She’s given me the most complimented hair of my life! She does great traditional color but if you want raspberry with plum lowlights, she’s perfection. I literally drive an hour out of LA just to see this lady!

Kelly Allen is the very best Stylist I’ve ever had for my baby fine hair and especially for color! She’s very accommodating to my schedule. I come in to Simi from Oxnard (yes, she’s that good!), and when I leave I always know that I will get many compliments. Highly recommended!

By far the best hair salon I have ever been to! My mom was going there for some time and I was not super happy regarding my stylist at that time, so after long consideration I decided to give it a try. It was many years ago and I am still there and ALWAYS happy with the outcomes, whether it is a new haircut, a color job or a hairdo for a special occasion. And my wedding hair style was just perfect and EXACTLY what I wanted. Kelly never disappoints and always delivers. It is truly a pleasure to be The Colour Bar costumer!

I’ve been going to stylist Kelly Allen for my hair for years. She’s great with color, cut, and styling. She’s not only talented but she’s always up to the challenge of making my unruly hair beautiful :)
I also see Kelley York the in house esthetician for facials. She is super knowledgable and friendly.
For brow perfection I go to Kristal. She tints and waxes my brows like no other! She also does threading, tweezing and makeup!
The Colour Bar is a one stop shop

After getting a quote from another hair stylist who wanted to charge me over $ 1,000 to dye my hair, I was feeling extremely depressed about the then-​current state of my hair. A friend of mine then found Shurie on Instagram and after looking through her photos, her work spoke for itself.
I booked an appointment online (super easy) and Shurie texted me shortly after to talk details. She was able to explain the process of what I wanted, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. A+ so far.
Then I went into the salon. and she just blew me away. She and her assistant Stephanie were fun, professional, and not to mention EXTREMELY talented. I’ve been wanting to go pink for a really long time and was nervous as to how it would turn out.
These girls blew my expectations out of the water. They’re great. The salon is great. And I’ve now found my new favorite place to get my hair did.

So I’ve been going to the Colour bar salon for some time now. I originally called in and was a walk in. I always see Kaili and Kelly. When one isn’t available I see the other and my hair always comes out amazing! I have platinum blonde hair and I know most women would stick with just one stylist but I know the owner Stephany teaches all her gals the same and I completely trust these two girls. Not only are they the sweetest, everyone who works in the Colour bar is nothing but friendly and helpful. I now get my brows done by Krystal who magically fixed my mess I once called «brows», And has taught me how to fill them in. I also see Kelly who does all my facial care. I know, there are a lot of special «K’s» that work at the Colour bar!

Looooove this salon!!! So I’m not originally from here I moved down from Sacramento area and my aunt is a cosmetologist who has cut and colored my hair always! I’m 31 so that’s a long relationship with the one who cuts your hair, and let’s face it once you find that person that knows your hair and gets it right every time you never want to lose them. But like I said I moved here and I was on the hunt for a new hairstylist. In the two years that I’ve been here I went to a couple of places. Let’s just say I never went back. Call me picky but I’m the one who has to walk around with this head of hair lol! So I ran across The Colour Bar and I gave it a try, fingers were crossed I had found my place! From the moment walking in I was greeted and was given a big hug by my stylist. The lady’s at the front desk were nice and every customer sitting in their chairs getting serviced seemed happy! I was so very lucky to have Kaili as my stylist. She’s such a doll and a joy to talk with, I enjoy going every single time and look forward to it. She totally listens to how I want my hair and it comes out better than I imagined!!! I am a mother of four and my schedule can be pretty hectic to say the least so with that being said she totally works around my schedule and makes it work for me that is more appreciated than anything. Unless I move again for any reason this is my salon I’m sticking with!!!

I have been going here for almost 3 years now and I won’t go anywhere else. I absolutely adore my hairstylist, Sherie Ford. She always listens to exactly what I want and is always honest with me about what we can achieve for my hair. She is the sweetest and it helps that she is also very talented in what she does: D I also get my facials done here with Kelley York, whom is also absolutely amazing. I have never had anyone make me feel so confident and educated about my skin. She has helped me keep my acne to a minimum and is always there to help me when I need her. Kristal has done my makeup for my graduation and also waxes me. She is very, very good as well. She helped educate me on how to do my eyebrows and what the best shape is for my face. TBH I haven’t ever had a bad experience with any of the ladies I have encountered there. This is my go-​to place for all my beauty needs. Highly recommended.

Monica is the only person who I let touch my hair and she is the BEST. Reasonably priced and will be completely honest with you about your hair. She knows her stuff!

Monica is unlike any other. Her creativity and talent is one of a kind. You won’t leave her chair unsatisfied. Men, kids cuts, blow dry, updos, and her gift with color is the best. Whether you want to keep it natural cover gray or boldly stand out with hot pink hair, this girl will make you feel like a million bucks. She knows her products, she knows hair. Simply tell her what you’re thinking and she’ll deliver better than you had even imagined. She is THE ABSOLUTE best.

I moved to Simi from Hollywood and didn’t think I’d find a place that would give me a good cut and color. this place is the best. Stephanie knows her shit. best color and haircut I’ve ever had. do yourself a favor and go to her. oh! And I also had a facial last month from Kelley, and when I went home my mom thought I had had Botox! So I’ll for sure be coming back to her…

Monica is amazing! She has been doing my hair for years! She is patient when you are not and always knows just what you mean when you don’t even know what you mean LOL! I love that I can go to her and say I want this but not this, I want that but not that and she MAKES it happen. She is my go to for ALL hair needs, formal up do’s, my kids hair, extensions, color… She is the whole shebang!

I always knew of this place and know of many people who go here. I’ve only been here once. It was a walk-​in and I just wanted simple wavy/​curls for a wedding I was attending– $ 25. no problem.
I tried coming back here several times but every time I call, the receptionist is not the friendliest or helpful in any way. I had to personally call a stylist cell phone because she books her own appointments– fine, but that’s double the work. I ended up going somewhere else.
Another time I wanted to get color and asked if there was a stylist that specializes in coloring and the receptionist responded w, «well, all my ladies do everything.» That is fantastic but I do not like just anyone putting chemicals in my hair.
It’s just a weird system they have going. I feel like the receptionist has a lot of say/​power when booking appointments and they should make the customer feel confident that they will be taken care of.

I needed to have my hair weaved within 24 hours. I called The Colour Bar after driving past their location a few weeks prior. Within 2 hours I was sitting in Kelly Allen’s chair… She was so nice and professional… Not only did the salon and entire staff feel warm and inviting, I also got an outstanding weave. Kelly was great at listening to exactly what I wanted but made sure I was happy when I left… Thank you Colour Bar and Kelly!!!

This place is run by a group of evil old harpies. I went in with my girlfriend for a simple hair trim and was first bombarded by heated judgmental stares. The interior of this place is actually kind of nice, it’s only ruined by some of the worst attitudes and customer service I’ve ever experienced.
The youthful and obviously new staff had no problem being cordial, but there were two old bags behind the counter dishing out the pain to anyone they didn’t deem worthy enough to be in their sight. Do they think they opened up shop in Paris or something? Their prices definitely reflected that attitude. That, or they let their personal judgement of their customers affect the prices of their mediocre work. It’s a shame either way.
Go somewhere that cares about their customers and the work they do.
