Yesterday was my 12 year old daughter’s first time at skate lab, first time at a skate park period. She didn’t know how to «drop in» or anything. Aaron Kyro just so happen to be there and spent 45 minutes coaching her. By the time we left she had it down. It was truly an incredible experience and one that she and I will never forget. They have a great establishment there and they have made life time customers in us. It’s obvious that they care and it shows. We bought my daughter’s entire deck set up there for Christmas and the girl that helped us was amazing. Good job.

Great place to take your kids! They can even get lessons to learn how to skate board. The best day care with air conditioning. Lol
And the place to have a birthday party… You gotta check it out!

Great indoor skating place. Very friendly and helpful instructors and register workers, took my son his first time skateboarding so I enrolled him into beginners classes, first time I had been in a board in about 20 years we had a blast many different rooms to choose from. Great place for novice and experienced skaters highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to pick up a new hobby the also allow roller blades scooters and BMX bikes great friendly environment. Pics will follow thx Skate Lab team my son and I will be attending every Thursday.

This place is awesome ! Great place to have a boys party ! Yesterday we celebrated our boys (10) & (5) bday. Brian and Devon we’re very helpful and accommodating. The party room is very spacious lots of room to run around with a video game area, fuse ball table and air hockey. Two hours of fun ! Thanks Skatelab

Best place to skate in simi. Always friendly staff. You find a different mix of people every time you go here, but will often run into simi locals like Brian, nick, mike mo and others who have been going to this indoor park since they were young. Such a great scene and happy to be a part of it. Highly recommend checking out skate lab!

Tony was the manager and took great care of us. I took my 3 boys for a beginner lesson and they loved the place. My son’s grip tape needed repair and Tony just fixed it for us.
As a parent, I highly recommend this place!

It’s a bit of drive for us but it’s so worth it as the people work there are super nice and helpful. You can tell they enjoy being there and helping young skaters learn. About the waiver, yes you have to sign it and it’s EASY enough to do it online if you are not personally going to be their with your child.

My son came to Skatelab for his friend’s birthday party. He’s done a couple of the free Icebreaker lessons and he’s loving it. When it came time to buy him his first skateboard I wasn’t sure where to look. I knew I didn’t want to overpay for a piece of junk. Should I buy new or used? Go to a board shop or sporting good store? I didn’t want to buy him a toy. I wanted him to have a real skateboard. Since I’m not a skateboarder, I didn’t really know what I was looking for and I didn’t want to get ripped off. I decided to go talk to someone at the Skatelab shop. Their prices were just as competitive as some of the other board shops I called; if not better. At least I knew I wouldn’t be buying a «toy» at Skatelab.
Jesse helped my son «customize» his very first board; one that was the RIGHT SIZE AND ADJUSTED for the height and weight of a 10 year old. He patiently and honestly answered all of my questions, taught us about the parts, gave my son tons of tips on how to take good care of it and he BUILT IT ON THE COUNTER, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!
If you’re trying to buy your kid his/​her first skateboard and thinking you want to go the cheaper route by buying used or picking something pre-​assembled off of a shelf somewhere, DON’T. Especially if you don’t know what you’re doing. This experience was a million times better and totally worth every little bit of extra money you might spend. My son will never forget his first «custom» board that was put together for him right in front of his eyes.
Thanks to Skatelab and special thanks to Jesse. It’s very clear that the priority for these guys is that kids not only learn to skate, but that they also learn to LOVE skating. When it’s time to buy boards for my next 2 kids, I know right where I’ll be going! You guys at Skatelab are definately doing something right. Good job!

I was floored when my 11 year old daughter, a competitive dancer, said she wanted to skateboard. I took her to Skatelab, and after some minimal instruction from the helpful staff, she actually did pretty good and had a great time.
For her birthday she decided she wanted a skateboard. We found an inexpensive one online, but luckily I read the reviews before I bought it. Flimsy, breaks right away, had to replace hardware. These were the comments. Instead we bought her an awesome board — with the right hardware — from Skatelab, and it was actually very reasonable. Good quality for a great value. My daughter still loves going to Skatelab and brings her friends whenever she can.

Our son has been skating here for over a year and LOVES IT! Everyone there is really nice!

Great place to drop of the skater kids! You can feel confident that they are in a healthy environment and having a good time!

My kids love this place, for ages 10 and under come early mourning on weekends 10am… the staff is great and most kids are respectful and look out for the younger riders

Skatelab is great! Its got everything you could want to skate. Whether you’re just starting — professional.
The skate museum is amazing!!! So much history to soak in, any skate nerd will be geeking out!

This place is the best for kids to practice their skills on either a skateboard (my oldest), a scooter (my second) or rollerblader (my youngest). They all get what they want, and me too. Some well deserved quiet time to get some work done.
I love it here. There are private lessons that are super cool and really bring the kids’ skills up in a very short time. So very worth it and the kids love to see their confidence grow with the skills they have just learned.
The space is safe as you have to go past the front desk to come in and go out so I feel safe to leave my kids here for an hour or so. It is also very clean. Vending machines are well stocked.
Mostly though the kids just love coming here and feel inspired to learn more tricks and spend more time outside moving around practising and that is all that I could wish for as a parent.

Skatelab is awesome. Brought my son here to a birthday party when he was 5, he’s now 10 and we’ve been coming ever since. I had my younger son’s 8^th birthday here which led to 4 of our friends having their parties here. The kids just can’t get enough, the staff are great. The older kids pick on the smaller kids sometimes but the staff has always nipped any issues in the bud. The private party room is really nice and you can also have an informal party upstairs which is nice because you get 3 hours to skate versus having only 2 hours in the party room. My only suggestion is that they allow for longer parties — 2.5 or 3 hours would be ideal especially given the distance traveled (in my case).

Went there when I was a kid. Cool place for indoor to skate. Was always very crowded. Kids always falling in front of where your trying to skate. Keeps you out of trouble for a bit.

Awesome place for skateboards and bmx. My kids love it and great for killing a few hours on the weekend There is Wifi here too for the adults. Awesome.

We are so thankful to have Skatelab in our community. My son is there as often as we can get him there. How great to have a safe place for him to go and do what he loves. The staff are amazing. Always friendly, helpful, and great with the kids.
They are also active in the community, donating to the Samaritan Center and getting the kids motivated to donate as well. What an asset. We love you Skatelab!
