The Simi Valley Public Library connects patrons to materials and programs that educate, inform, entertain and enlighten. Library cardholders have access to over 140,000 books, movies, magazines, CDs and more in-​house; over two million items available from partner libraries; and an additional two million downloadable audiobooks, ebooks and research materials.

History

Established in 1916.

The Simi Valley Public Library was first established by the residents of Simi Valley almost 100 years ago. Until July 2013, Library service was been provided by the County of Ventura. In July of 2013, the City of Simi Valley assumed Library operations. The current Library building was opened in 1980.
