DISASTER! STAYAWAY! The place was empty when we got there — we should’ve ran the other way. The food was so salty I couldn’t eat it. I’ve eaten microwaved burritos that tasted better than this crap! They were missing items on the menu… and believe it or not… the cook was actually throwing a tantrum after I couldn’t down the salt catastrophe that was served to me. I was scared that the cook was going to swipe his dick over my food if I ordered anything else! If you want a salty, overcooked, microwaved, freezer-meal served by a short tempered cook — come here. Otherwise go somewhere else. One star for the professional waiter; he did an amazing job in such a shit environment.

It’s dark. So dark you might think it’s closed. But it’s not. It’s open. And don’t even worry about the overflowing Red Robin next door. All that means is that the good people of Simi Valley are more concerned about sportsball than flavor. Don’t get me wrong. I love Red Robin and Buffalo Wild Wings as much as the next guy, but not every bar and grill needs to have a football game visible from every vantage point. Limon features live music, great food, and what is presumably a top-notch bar.(I’m not really an expert on such things, but it was the only part of the restaurant that had anyone in it when we went.) First up, the house salad, with everything you might expect. Red onions, corn, black beans, tomato, cucumber, and leafy green lettuce, not a bit wilted, plus enough ranch dressing on the side to fill a bath tub. So good. Full marks. Next, the lobster enchilada. This was excellent, although realize that by «lobster» they mean langostinos. Cheesy and perfectly seasoned. My only complaint is that I didn’t order two. Served with black beans and steamed rice. Next time, I’ll probably try to swap that out for Spanish rice. Finally, my SO’s entrée, the ribeye. Delivered rare, exactly as ordered, perhaps in need of a little salt and pepper but with a very satisfying char — hard to achieve on a truly rare steak! Paired with just plain awesome garlic mashed potatoes. Put it in your face. Do it now. But as good as the food was, what really put this place over the top for us was the service. Granted, we were the only people in the dining room, but our waitress made us feel like the only people in the world. Our glasses were never empty, and she was almost unbelievably friendly and helpful, offering up recommendations from their little-known Sunday breakfast to their chimichurri, which she suggested we slather on «absolutely everything.» Sound advice. If you’re looking for something a little different, give Limon a chance. It’s not Baja. It’s not a sports bar. It’s not haute cuisine. It’s just really damn good.

I had my Paint Nite birthday party here with 15 girlfriends. We loved everything we ordered. The menu has a great variety of things for anyone to enjoy. The food was so fresh & delicious. The ambiance is truly what makes this place so special. We loved getting our drinks & chatting by the fire. The service was outstanding! Shabby was beyond sweet & attentive to our large group. It was a perfect birthday party & a fun«Girls Night Out!» We will definitely be back!

The food was good but the music was great. We went there to hear the band, «Alive and Kicking»(my brother was in it) and it had turned very cool that day and they were not prepared for it. The band plays outside so we were in the outside seating area. They had heaters but the overhead one was broken and they were out of propane for the portable ones. The manager said it would be about 10 minutes as they were going to get some propane tanks but it was over 45 minutes before they got the tank and started the warmer. In the meantime we were all freezing. The menu was limited and the food was average. I had the Brazilian Spicy Shrimp which was on the appetizer menu and it came with four pieces of garlic toast. I enjoyed it. There were several other appetizers, hamburger choices and salads on the menu. My husband had a cheeseburger and he said it was just ok. I would not choose to visit this restaurant again unless I wanted to hear the band play.

Went here on a Friday night. Music was so loud inside couldn’t hear people next to me. Food was good BUT the drinks were way over priced!!! Draft beer @ $ 8 a glass? Really? Very disappointed — were we taken advantage of? Don’t know. The same beer at Larsen’s is $ 6. Unfortunately can’t recommend this place.

The ambiance outside is undoubtedly one of the best in Simi Valley. Great place to go and chill with friends. The menu choices are limited however everything I’ve had has been good. The servers are always friendly and they are attentive.

Been to Limon a few times over the years. They definitely have improved. Drinks are great and the food is very good. The outdoor area and music makes the place.

Blah — food was average at best. Service was very friendly, but sub par. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries to share at our table and it never came. The rest of the food was delivered at different times so I figured the fries were coming. They didn’t and neither did the server. I had to find her and ask for them and she acted like they were coming right up, but it was obvious she had forgotten to put in the order. I’ve waited on tables. I get it. Fries came quite a bit later. Like when the kids were already done eating. We also asked about type of beers and the server didn’t know anything about them and had to get someone else. I had to ask 3 times for extra napkin… to wipe off our dirty table which I also asked to be cleaned off. The guy said he would clean it and never came back. Like I said, everyone was friendly, but clearly they are in need of better management. Too bad as this place has the potential to be a really nice option in that area. As of right now, nothing stands out other than the negative. Friendliness isn’t enough. We only went there because my friend was playing in the band. The live music and the outdoor patio were nice, but I wouldn’t go back.

Finally gave this place a try today. The Mai Tais were great as well as the service — Shawn. The food was not so good. We ordered a kids pizza, the Taco appetizer plate and the fish and chips. My son liked the kid pizza but I tried it and it was completely flavorless. The fish and chips: the fish came out burnt but good portion size. My chicken tacos were good but the tri tip were over done and chewy. There was also a salsa they put on top that was so spicy it burned my mouth. My husband thought it wasn’t but I’m a wimp when it comes to spice so just beware if you are not a spice person like me Because I had no idea any salsa was going to be on there. Overall the chicken tacos and drinks as well as service were great — everything else was not good. Next time we are coming just for the drinks and chicken tacos only.

Best place for friends and family to get together and enjoy good food, drinks and the very friendly staff. Shabby always makes sure each customer is pleased and gets the best service. Great music and some nights dancing! Great date night spot!

First time here in a long time. Remembered why we don’t patronize this establishment. Food is not bad, service is terrible. When the food is good and the service is good we usually will come back, but if the service is BAD we don’t return! That’s the case here. We waited 20 minutes for our drink order to get to the table. We had to hunt down the server every time we needed something. The hostess really helped with our service. I did give her a tip, she was great. The live music was awsome!

Went here for a Paint Nite and found some good things and some bad things. My experience was not typical since we were there for a class as well as dinner and drinks. The servers were attentive and the food was delicious, if mainstream. I had a black and bleu burger that was tasty but a little low on flavor. The acoustics were terrible, the sound of several men shouting about a sports game in the next room completely drowned out everything we wanted to hear. I have not been to this place for live music. Overall the restaurant was clean and the menu interesting, but I don’t particularly feel compelled to go back.

The place was empty that should have sent up a red flag. The chips are stale the appetizers has tuna in them it was spoiled. The coffee served was cold. The steak was okay but by the time I was scared. We should have just left.

I don’t know why they got such poor reviews. The service was excellent. We had three people tending to us the whole time. So service gets 5 stars. Ambience was nice. The live music was extremely loud so we chose to sit inside. It was still loud but we didn’t have to yell at each other. Loved the decorations and it was dimly lit. Candles on the tables. Tall booths felt private. I loved it. Because of the loud music we rated 4 stars. We ordered the Brazillian shrimp appetizer which was spicy and delicious. Came with garlic toast. Nice combination. Would order again. My husband ordered the Cuban burger. He said 5 stars for sure. He said it was delicious — the ham, the beef, the cheese… so good… I got the Cuban sandwich and had to pay $ 3 more for it since it is a lunch menu item. I was sad that it came out dry. I had to ask for some sort of sauce to put on it. One of the servers came over and brought me some sweet chili sauce. That made it much better. But I’d give it 4 stars. We also had sweet potato fries and regular fries. Both were great. Tortilla chips were fresh and the salsa was delicious. We will be back!

Oh how far you have fallen. I was very disappointed. I used to come here when the town center first opened and this place called the very finest Simi had to offer. :) The rotisserie was okay. The ceviche was almost not ceviche. It was too salty and out of balance with the lime. I know the Simi town center is suffering, but you guys can do it.

Had dinner with friends here, on their recommendation. It was very empty and there were plenty of places to sit. The table and booths seemed to be great for two people, maybe even three, but awkwardly sat 4 or more. Service was fantastic, I have to be honest. Very attentive server and busboy kept things moving along. I tried the chicken tostada salad, which was amazing. The food came out timely, hot, and very well prepared. For a simple tostada salad, I wasn’t expecting much. The portion size was perfect and the taste was fantastic. I ended up eating the entire shell, which had a great flavor as well, and not at all cardboardy like other Latin/Mexican restaurants. At night, the lighting in the restaurant is poor. I understand mood lighting, and ambiance, but we could barely ready the menus. In addidtion, some of the red LED lighting around the dining rooms blinks and brightly, which obvisouly contradicts the point of the low light ambiance. It was very distracting and annoying. In addition, because of the acoustics there, everyting echoes. A drunk patron at the bar was screaming at the sports game on TV and should have been cut off at least an hour before we got there. We were almost ready to walk out because the drunk guy was driving us nuts and made the dining experience a little less classy for us. The food was fantastic there, but not sure I’m ready to go back anytime soon.

3 stars? Cuban burger. Juicy beef patty, THICK chunk of shredded pork, a thick slice of ham making this the most protein rich burger I have ever had. My husband grabbed it to go for me and it was still amazing! I want to go to the restaurant and eat it fresh!

Last experience here ended with the OWNERSCREAMING at the WAITRESSINFRONTOF my Entire Family over her not charging us for a single Waffle for my 2 year old!!! THEN the OWNER told me when I said that she had no right to talk to her EMPLOYEE like that and that we wouldn’t be back… her response was, «That’s ok, I know plenty of people in this town and I don’t need YOUR business!!! That was 2 years ago… refuse to give them my hard earned $$!!! #WorstPlaceEVER
