Dr. Kosta has been in practice in Simi Valley since 2007, when he took over Dr. Richard Green’s practice after Dr. Green retired. The primary of focus at Dr. Kosta’s Dental Office is to provide the highest level of care and compassion for his patients and their dental needs.

Konstantinos Proussaefs, D.D.S., also known as «Dr. Kosta» for short, graduated in 1997 as a General Dentist, and proceeded to advance his dental education and clinical skills by joining the Hellenic Army’s Green Berets. Dr. Kosta has furthered his knowledge and understanding of various aspects of dentistry by completing thousands of hours of continuing dental education. He is very committed to staying on the leading edge of dental technology. This enables him to achieve not only great looking but also strong, long lasting and predictable results for each patient.

In my opinion the ONLY good dentist in Simi! Dr. Kosta is amazing. All his employees are friendly and helpful, and the Dr himself is gentle, personable and really good at what he does. I’ve been to two other dentists in Simi who aggressively try to upsell you on cosmetic procedures you don’t want. Dr Kosta has never done this. Also, at other practices I had a lot of pain during procedures. At Dr Kosta’s I actually napped through a root canal!
I’m just worried my new insurance won’t cover him, because I can never go to another dentist!

I really like Dr. Kosta. He is a very friendly and gentle dentist. He cares about his patients and makes sure that everyone is as comfortable as possible.
I’ve never had a bad experience with Dr. Kosta, however, hours are becoming more restricted (reduced now 7am-​3pm Mon-​Fri) and it’s hard with a busy schedule.
I hope the office can increase hours like they used to so I don’t have to miss work/​classes.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Kosta’s office. It was quite possibly the best dentist visit I’ve ever had. It’s a shame because I went in with my boyfriend and he didn’t have the same experience as I did. I would go to Dr. Kosta again had they not treated my boyfriend so disrespectfully.

Our family loves Dr. Kosta!
My 6 year old has zero fear of the dentist and is excited to get her teeth cleaned thanks to Dr Kosta’s gentle care and kind staff.
On the other hand, I have always been extremely anxious when it comes to «the dentist». However, Dr. Kosta has eased my anxiety with his calm and caring demeanor.
We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Kosta as our family dentist! He is kind, caring and considerate. He puts patient’s needs first. My husband and I always remark on how genuinely nice Dr. Kosta and his staff are. Definitely worth the 30 min drive from the Valley!

I absolutely love Dr. Kosta and his staff! When you hear «you need a root canal» you definitely shudder a bit. But I could not be happier with my results. A root canal takes a few appointments, plus I needed a full crown, so I was there for a few appts spread out over a few weeks time. After each appointment, I left with ZERO, that’s right ZERO pain or discomfort. How is this possible?!! This man is amazing at what he does. I got my crown put in yesterday and it feels perfect. The fit is superb. On top of everything, I had to bring my 10 month old with me yesterday because I couldn’t get a sitter this time. The girls at the front watched him for me happily! At the end of the appointment, Dr. Kosta even said thank you for bringing him because the girls enjoyed him so much. What dentist thanks you for bringing your baby with you??? Dr. Kosta! That’s who!!! I hope my insurance never changes because I will cry if I have to leave this office. Thanks for all you do!!!

This office is so peaceful. I really enjoyed the staff and my time there. The doctor is honest and trustworthy. I also feel that the prices are correct. I was told I needed a $ 15,000 surgery from my last dentist and Kosta did not see any damage to that tooth!

Unfortunately, it looks like I’ll have to change dentists simply because my employer has changed and Dr. Kosta isn’t a provider under my new health care plan. For the last 3 years, he and his staff have all done a fantastic job, and I’d still be happy to recommend them to everyone.

I love Dr. Kosta! I was a dental assistant so I am pretty picky as to the dentist, his office and staff. I’m always treated extremely well and given an honest evaluation. I never feel like I’m being sold anything or diagnosed with a non-​existent issue. I recommend Dr. Kosta to all of my friends and family.

I too went to Dr Kostas based on Unilocal Reviews. He is Great! On my visit I was greeted by the receptionist and welcomed with a smile and handshake. The team is fantastic. Xrays cleaning and exam all went great. He found 1 cavity. He took a digital picture and put it on the TV in the room and explained what needed to be done. Awesome! Then an assistant came in and explained the costs and what my insurance would cover, again Awesome. I booked a follow up appt for the following week. The filling was the easiest I have ever had and I was in and out in 40 mins. I never waited for more than 5 mins at either appt. Dr Kostas is very nice, asks if your okay over and over and is very genuine. I have found my dentist for the rest of my life. Also. office has lots of parking and is very modern. My mom was a dental assistant so I am picky about my dentist and I can say this one is top notch.

I chose Dr Kosta based on the Unilocal reviews. I was amazed at how many good reviews he and his establishment had especially when I compared his reviews to the many other dentists I had to choose from based on my dental plan.
From the moment you walk into the office until you walk out, you encounter friendly staff that exercises PROFESSIONALISM. I never had to ask a single question because they inform you from every aspect. The employees made you feel like they wanted to be at work, and wanted you to be their patient. I can go on and on. I was simply impressed. My teeth were a mess. Dr Kosta did my cleaning and did an amazing job. Any time I had a deep cleaning, I would leave my dentists with bleeding gums, and always felt a certain degree of pain that I dealt with figuring «I had it coming for waiting so long between cleanings» As sensitive as my teeth are, NOT ONCE did i feel any discomfort what so ever. I have already recommended friends to leave their current dentist and join this group of great people. I feel fortunate that I came across Dr Kosta and his group of assistants. I no longer dread going to the dentist! Thanks to all of you there.

Went in with a severe toothache and they fixed an appointment for me as soon as possible. The staff were friendly and accomodating, Dr Kosta was professional and very comforting and explained the procedures very well. The procedure was done briskly and with minimal discomfort. Loved the fact that they follow up with you and ask you how you’re feeling. Definitely recommend!

Very happy with Dr. Kosta and staff! From the minute I called Heather & Jasmine were friendly and helpful. We have been taking our 9 yr old daughter to another dental office here in Simi but they do not take our Ins. so we’ve been paying regular price for her cleanings & exams. Thank goodness she’s never had any issues. ANYWAY, I Unilocaled this office and decided to give them a try. My daughter loved them and we already made our 6 month follow up. I will be telling everyone about this office.

Just had my semi-​annual check up and cleaning and once again Dr Kosta and his staff exceeded my expectations. The dedication of Dr Kosta and his staff always amazes me.
No cavities but I do have to have a filling replaced. Chelsea thoroughly explained my options and they even fit me in for an appointment this week.

I have found my dentist. Some are good — but way too expensive. Some are good — but their back office lags. Some are affordable — but the do shoddy work.
I have been to all kinds — and I believe that Dr Kosta is technically proficient and thorough. He knows his stuff (he told me he comes from a family of dentists). He is Honest also — I have never had the thorough explanations that I get from him.
I have had the misfortune of having some bad dental work in the past and I am very glad that I have found someone that I can trust to do the job right.

Fantastic Dentist. Fantastic office staff!!! Everyone was so friendly. Professional. & Understanding with me bringing my 3 month old baby with me to my appointment. I did not want to be «that patient» who brings in their baby and the staff ends up watching them… YES! it happens I have been that employee who has watched a child or two while at work.
The work done was thorough. I looooved how they had options with the flavor to shine your teeth with other than that mint flavor… i had strawberry… YUMMMMY…i must say. Over all it was a great experience. I found the office on Unilocal!here by all the wonderful reviews and I must say I am so glad that I was not let down!!!

I needed to find a dentist a while back because the health insurance through my work didn’t cover my old dentist. Despite having a rather high pain tolerance, I get nervous when I go to the dentist. Generally I don’t like the feeling of a pick scraping underneath my gums as that isn’t very fun.
I’m just going to say I got lucky!
When I went for an appointment with Dr. Kosta back in December, I was pleasantly surprised how personable, kind, and professional everyone was. When Dr. Kosta came to talk with me, he was very nice, thorough, and was able to make some suggestions without making me feel like I take horrible care of my teeth (which I certainly do not) whereas I’ve had experiences with dentists who end up lecturing me about something or another and I leave feeling bad about myself.
I now suggest him to anyone who needs a dentist. Like the other reviewer said on here, it was definitely «the best dental appointment I’ve experienced in years.»
