Scott and his crew at House to Home Construction are fabulous. All of his work is high quality and always done with a decorators touch. He is always available to give me or my clients bid on their large or small house projects. He has always delivered on time work and always makes sure we are happy with the results. From kitchen to bathrooms to random project throughout the home — they will be able to do whatever you need!

We have used Scott and House to Home for all of our projects since purchasing our home here about 2 and ½ years ago. He has done small projects as well as larger jobs and all of the work has been great and extremely affordable. Scott is really attentive to making sure his customers are happy and will accommodate even the smallest requests. I have recommended him to multiple friends and neighbors.

I can’t say enough good about Scott and his crew. I was a newly single mother with 2 children when Scott came into our lives almost a year ago. I had just lost my husband to suicide and our children and I were just starting to put our lives back together. We had decided to remodel our home rather than move. This was a huge job — a complete makeover. We changed the complete look of the house. We tore out walls, vaulted the ceilings, upgraded the bathrooms. We even put in a pool. The only room in the house that wasn’t touched was the garage. However, we will be tackling that next year. To say the least, Scott took very good care of us.
At a time when he could have easily taken advantage of me and my state (my brain was mush) Scott was the exact opposite. He and a good friend of my husband’s went the extra mile to make sure I understood every inch of the process. His pricing was beyond reasonable. He made sure he got me the best deal on materials and worked with a material allowance. If I went over the material allowance, he would just charge the difference and nothing more. To say he was fair and reasonable doesn’t do him justice. He was beyond that.
I had heard so many nightmare stories about constrators who took advantage of women in my situation — who would never show up; who woud do a crappy job; who wouldn’t clean up after themselves; who would hide charges; who would nickle and dime; who would tell you needed something when you really didn’t, etc. Scott did none of that. He was a professional all the way through. And the workmanship was perfect. Anything that was overlooked he came back and fixed without question.
He has his own crew so subbing out is seldom an issue. Speaking of his crew… They were equally fantastic. They cleaned up after themselves every day and when deliveries came to the house they always put everything in the garage for me locked up tight (we had to move out for the remodel). I never worried about these men either.
Overall, if you’re lucky enough to get Scott to work for you you will not be disappointed.

Great experience working with Scott at House to Home Construction. I discovered a leak in my roof that was coming through the ceiling and needed it fixed urgently. Scott was at our house assessing the problem and fixing it within a few hours. Given the damage I could see I was expecting a steep bill, but Scott’s pricing was extremely fair. It was such a relief to know our roof was fixed quickly and even better was the peace of mind knowing the job was done right. I will definitely call him again for other work on my home.

Two years ago we bought a home in Simi Valley. We asked Scott to join us on a walk through with our relator to get some remodel ideas. He was able to give us design ideas that proved to be amazing. He and his crew turned our outdated small brown tile kitchen to a gorgeous open space we love to entertain in. He also created us a home studio out of our dining room, converted a closet and old master bath into a master suite with large soaker tub and gorgeous shower. We had all our ceilings scraped and the house repainted. He also worked removing a funky fake wall outside and replacing with a functional wooden gate. Basically turned our new purchase that had good bones, into an amazing home we’re proud of.
He was able to get amazing pricing on cabinets and has a long standing relationship with his granite guy. We’ve recommended Scott and House to Home Construction to many friends who were looking to remodel. I know he does new home construction too and really knows his stuff.
His crew was very professional and cleaned up after themselves. (Scott is very particular about his crew and how they present themselves. Many have of them are long time employees and all were very courteous when we came to check on the progress.)
We felt his pricing was extremely fair and he was great about giving us timelines on when design decisions had to be made to not hold up any of the remodel process. Our original bid gave us material allowances that we were able to work with which made the process easy. If we wanted a more expensive fixture we either paid the difference or cut back in other areas.
We’ll be redoing our backyard soon and I’ll be giving him a call!

— Overpriced based on the original quote I received to do work on the house. It was artificially inflated with work we did not request. For example demolition of tile floors, when all we asked was to lay laminate over the tile.
— H2H backed out of agreed to work last minute when closing escrow on a house. There was a lack of clear communication which resulted in the misunderstanding.
Just like any work on your home, always a good idea to have a couple of sources in case one doesn’t work out, you have a back up plan.
