I have known and used Rocky Herbert as my electrician both personally and professionally at work for 5 years now, and I can say without a doubt, he is one of the best and most trusted individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I know I if I have a project or problem, Rocky will handle it in a professional and timely manner. He charges fair prices for his high quality of work and goes the extra mile to ensure everything is done to code, the correct and safe way. I have used many electricians over the years for different projects or issues, and Rocky is now my go to guy that I can trust and rely on to give me the straight scoop on whatever the need may be.

I had Rocky come out and upgrade my main panel. All the breakers I had are over 50 years old and some will not reset. I was replacing my roof and the service mast was needed to be relocated so it wasn’t over the patio cover. His pricing was very fair and the professionalism was superb. I’ve used him a few times before for a few minor jobs. This was a pretty big job and he didn’t stop when it started raining. Who works on electrical stuff when it rains??? I like how he drives a fully stocked truck and never had to leave to pick up needed parts. This made it possible to wrap up the project quickly so I was able to finish my project. I recommend this company for any electrical repair.

After consulting 4 electricians regarding installation of a Quiet Cool whole house fan, Rocky was the only person who took the time to examine my attic space and assess my roof line. This required extra work and crawling into the attic which is a testament to work ethic. This is why I chose Herbert and Sons to install the fan. In addition, my unique attic configuration required some «out of the box» thinking as it relates to configuration which Rocky designed and built. The Coup De Grace is he did a small side job and afterward said, «no Charge.» Happy with my new electrician!

I had a dead short that took out a hospital bed, clocks and a TV. I had just replaced my HVAC system. So I called Family Air and Jerry the Owner came out early the next morning to check it out. He Called Rocky and he showed up a couple of hours later and found and fixed the problem, at a very reasonable price. Excellent service! I would highly recommend this firm as this was a potential fire hazard. By the way the problem was not caused by Family Air that is also, a 5 star company. When you hire the best they typically refer the best.

I wish I knew how to rate a half star and that would be because he showed up. Unfortunately this company did not meet my expectations. I was told over the phone that and inspection was 300.00 and an after hour estimate was 59.00 well I definitely over paid because I got a inspection done and he emailed me a estimate. A four liner this is NOT ok I would like a refund for this after hour estimate. Please do your research before selecting a company especially this one.

Herbert & Sons Electric installed a whole house fan, recessed lights, ceiling fans, and fixed kitchen circuits (we were constantly tripping breakers). What a Great experience! Herbert & Sons arrived on time and respectful of our household pets. I was very impressed with the the professionalism and timely service.
We were paying too much in attempting to air condition our home. The Whole house fan is a-​MAY-​zing! Do yourself a favor and get one of these installed before the end of the summer. With the Whole house Fan instillation from Herbert & Sons we can now effectively cool our home and lower our Utility Bills. Its super quiet and was installed o be aesthetically pleasing in our house! Quality Work!
Herbert & Sons also took the care and precaution to install the switch out of my child’s reach. I am very pleased that Herbert & Sons could evaluate and respond to my family needs and safety.
The fans and recess lighting look perfect and I can finally run all my appliances at once without tripping the breaker.
We will be using Herbert & Sons for all future work. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

We needed to replace and upgrade our electrical box/​panel in our new home, installed fixtures, dimmers and other smaller projects thrown in.
This was our first experience with a contractor and Rocky and his crew were highly recommended. They were very thorough, on time and professional. I felt secure knowing that we had a competent crew doing some major work and they’re super friendly and helpful. We had a motion light put in and when it went out the next day, Rocky quickly replaced it. Great service.
If you have electrical needs and want it done right, don’t hesitate to give them a call. Awesome people to work with.

I was in a bind with an electric situation in my kitchen that needed immediate attention, and of course, it was a Sunday. Recommended by a close friend, I called Herbert and sons, on that Sunday. Being a new customer with no relationship with their company, I was impressed and surprised that they called me right away on the Sunday… Answered all my questions and made an appointment the very next morning. The attention and expertise… amazing. Safe, clean, honest, and fair… rocky is exactly that, a rock star!!! He fixed my kitchen issues and politely happily troubleshot a few other issues as well… the service fee is fair and right as all contractors charge a service fee and its part of the job if they do the work. Rocky is excellent, smart, and a super nice guy. I highly recommend their services.

Not only was the work impeccable and the cost reasonable, but the customer service was amazing. We remodeled our garage, turning it into a home gym, and needed some outlets and new light fixtures installed. We purchased the light fixtures and had a particular layout we wanted to have them installed, but we really have no experience with this type of work. When Rocky came to our home for the inspection, he made sure that our electrical box was sufficient, that we’d get the power we needed for all of our gym equipment and that our proposed layout was really right for the space. His recommendations as to layout and power needs were fantastic. Also, at the time our son was barely two months old, which Rocky found out on the initial inspection. When our scheduled installation date came around, we got a call from Rocky letting us know that someone in his family had come down with a bad cold and wanted to make sure we knew in case we wanted to reschedule so as to avoid possibly getting our son sick. It was extremely thoughtful of him and we were happy to reschedule to avoid that. On the reschedule date, Rocky and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up all of their tools and debris before leaving. The work was fantastic and we’re definitely planning on calling Rocky to do the electrical work in our kitchen remodel soon!

Something that is not stated on their web site or in any of the reviews is that they charge a fee just to come out and look at what needs to be done. I have not had this with any other electric contractor.

Had three separate electrical issues: doorbell, outside light and outlet. Scheduler was very polite and explained how billing works etc. Rocky Herbert arrived on time, diagnosed the problems and presented my options for each one. The doorbell issue, in particular, was more extensive than I had thought and Rocky offered a cost effective solution. Very easy to work with and I would definitely call again for any electrical issue.

I needed to have some switches and new recessed lights installed at my house as well as a spa disconnected. Rocky arrived on time and was very professional. He keeps many of the necessary supplies on his truck which means he’s spending time on site doing the work rather than going back and forth to a supply house for parts.
I know some folks are put off by the minimum trip charge that electricians and plumbers charge when they show up to your house, but I think Herbert and Sons fees are very resonable considering that they show up with all of the necessary equipment to get the job done right the first time. Highly recommended!!!

had some continuing electric problem, stemming from prior work. Rocky came out I think 4 – 5 times. yesterday he was on the phone with fan company trying to straighten the whole nightmare out. he could have easily skipped that, he could have easily told me that i needed some massive rewiring or whatever of my entire house to fix the problem. but he didnt. hopefully the fan problem is done. he was so funny and professional. i didnt get ripped off. my problem is solved. i will definitiely use them again if i have other electrical issues. top notch

Its harder and harder to find family owned businesses these days. Big box stores and giant corporations are taking over everything. What’s the result? Employees that dont care about the work they are doing and or crappy customer service. Thats why I loved finding Herbert and Sons.
They are a family owned and operated company that gave me great service. They care about the quality of their work and it shows. I was on the phone with Rocky several times and he was always very polite and helpful. They were extremely professional and showed up in a uniform. Imagine that… Not having the feeling of letting some random person in your house but an actual professional coming to do a good quality job. They were polite an had a pricing sheet that made sense. All pricing was explained ahead of time. Its hard to try and find any sort of contractor especially after hearing so many stories about how women are often overcharged for services. I never felt as though I was getting cheated. I never felt like I was pushed into an up-​sell. They are extremely knowledgeable and were able to answer any questions I had. I’ve had contractors come and leave a mess at my house too. Dare I say the place was cleaner after they left then when they arrived! ha! Too bad they dont offer maid service. Anyhow, I would definitely use them again for any future electrical job I need.
What’s great is that they have a website too. I love being able to take a sneak peak at a company online first. It feels less random then picking out of a phone book.
