The 2013 WINNER in the Mobile Food Truck category for East Ventura County, Haunt Dawgz serves home-made, cooked fresh on site chili. We serve incredible, award winning chili dogs and absolutely amazing bacon and garlic infused sauerkraut dogs that people flip out over! We also serve our «Skeleton» vegetarian chili, chili bowls, and chili cheese nachos, using real cheddar cheese that melts under the hot chili! Our «Devil» dog has fresh cut Jalapeño and Cayenne peppers to heat things up if desired.
We have a haunted theme complete with matching hearse, and have been chosen to be one of only a few food trucks to published in the nation-wide, Costco-Connection Magazine.
We also specialize in fund-raising! We are the «FUN» fund raiser guys!
History
Established in 2011.
After a full career in Civil Service, owner’s Lesley and Gary decided they wished to keep on working, and went with their passions and desire to keep giving back to the community. Lesley, who at one point gave up her dream and acceptance to be a Chef in Orlando Florida, stayed with Civil Service in California, meeting Gary. Gary’s love for Halloween and Lesley’s much sought after chili came together to form Haunt Dawgz, the award winning food truck with a haunted theme. Haunt Dawgz has grown in popularity, and has donated thousands of dollars to various groups/charities. Haunt Dawgz is the WINNER of the Ventura County Star’s «Readers’ Choice Award for favorite Mobile Food Truck, and was one of just a few food trucks nation wide to be selected to be included in the Costco-Connection magazine.

Business Owner
Growing up in Southern California and after an almost thirty year career serving the community, Gary retired from public service in 2010. Together with wife and co-owner Lesley, who also retired from public service, combined Gary’s passion of Halloween with Lesley’s highly acclaimed and much requested chili recipe, thus creating Haunt Dawgz, the Award Winning Food Truck with a haunted theme.
