Elements Massage

WARNING: SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES & MULTIPLE, LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS!!!
I have been a patron and MEMBER of elements for over 12 months, receiving on average 2 massages per month for my first 3 – 6 months. I also brought my girlfriend in for several sessions and tirelessly plugged the shop among my coworkers, friends, and family. I regularly saw Lance, who no longer works there, fordeep tissue therapy. I have also see Whitney. Both were fantastic and helped me with severe pain in my soft tissues as a result of my competitive bodybuilding obsession. HOWEVER, I recently made an appointment to be seen and was CANCELLED on by the receptionist the morning of, about 2 hours before my scheduled session (mind you I had already taken time off work = I LOST WAGES as a result of that CANCELLATION). So I book another session with another therapist and they cancel on me ONCE AGAIN, hours before my appt. I HAVE YET AGAIN LOST MORE WAGES because I had already taken more time off work to make room for yet another appointment that didnt happen.
I called to complain and reached the receptionist who said she would escalate the matter to the owner and that they would respond within 24 – 48 hours. It has been 4 DAYS+ since we spoke and no call back, no new appointment, NOTHING!
Again, I am enrolled in their members program where they BILL you monthly. Apparently its OK to bill someone and TAKE their money for TWO. count em 2… sessions and then cancel and not call back.
I havent seen another therapist/;location because I have ALREADY BEEN CHARGED for 2 sessions by ELEMENTS so I shouldn’t have to find another location… I should get the service I PAID FOR.
Im beyond upset and am hoping that, given they are a corporate chain, they will see this review and finally respond with a solution.

Just got home from Elements massage. Very good service and very friendly staff. I enjoyed the massage more than I thought I would. I’m now just relaxing on the couch and I can’t move anything but my thumb. Unilocal calling me a wizard… Anywho. The woman who massaged me was named Cynthia and she was great! I would recommend her if you have shoulder/​neck pain. The place itself was very clean, organized, and roomy. When I got into the massage room, it was the same, very clean and roomy. When I started my massage, Cynthia asked me where I’d like to be massaged at and I told her my neck, my back, and my calves. She did a perfect job on my neck, shoulders, and calves. I do wish she did my lower part of my back but it’s no big deal after how good she did on everything else.
If there is one thing that is holding me back from coming here again, is that the price for one hour massage is $ 99. Also keep in mind, if you went from 1 – 2, it would start around 1:10 and end around 1:50. So you have time to talk with the consultant and get undressed/​dressed. I just want to say that I personally feel that a massage place in Simi Valley shouldn’t be $ 100 a massage. I feel like that’s a price Westlake or Newburry park would charge, not in Simi Valley.
Overall rating, 4 out of 5 stars! And two thumbs up!

If you are looking for a great place in Simi to get a massage — this is the place! From the minute you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. It’s a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the massage therapists are friendly and very attentive to your needs and areas of concern. All the therapists are excellent, and I really enjoyed Whitney.
Would highly recommend!

I visited this morning to receive a massage thanks to a spa finder gift certificate that my uncle gave me. My therapist was Whitney and she was attentive, kind, and contributed to a great experience. When I called in the morning the manager was able to get me in thanks to a cancellation. When I arrived everyone was so nice and welcoming. My massage had just enough pressure and Whitney checked in with me frequently to ask what areas I wanted her to concentrate on and if the pressure was ok. At the end of the massage I was given a delicious chocolate and some water and was reminded to hydrate post massage. One star being taken off just because of the steep pricing. I’ll be back to treat myself :)

I gave them one star becuz there is no zero star. I made an appointment few days ahead. They called me back the day before and confirmed then the last minute they called and cancelled!!! My problem was the person who called (Katy who is the manager) was really unprofessional and not capable of understanding basics. I will never go there.

Thank you Cynthia for an amazing massage! My neck and back already feel so much better! April was so friendly and fun to meet! This place is the «bee knees» and I look forward to my appointment next month!!! I highly recommend Elements Massage!

Thanks to my sister who bought me a gift card, The massage felt so good. Heather attended me and massaged wherever I needed she focused on making her customer happy, and she accomplished that.

Booked a 90 minute Hot Stone Massage with Lance. WOW! He combines the stones with deep tissue massage and it was absolutely the best! He consistently asked if the pressure was what I wanted and adjusted his massage to my specific needs. The 90 minutes versus the 60 minutes really makes a huge difference! I feel like a million bucks today and all my aches are gone. This is the 3^rd massage I have received from Elements, and each one has been awesome. This is the best place in town for massages. Their therapists truly care about how we feel. It’s not just another one of «those massage places», they are heads above all the rest!

I went to Elements for the first time today. I had an excellent massage with Leslie. Massages don’t get any better than this. She was very good at customizing the massage to what I needed. I plan to come back soon.

I had the best massage ever, thanks to Leslie. My neck and back were very stiff and full of tension/​knots. I asked Leslie to focus on those areas instead of a full body massage and she did wonders. She is very skilled and knowledgeable. Her technique is different from other therapists and it hit the mark. I would return definitely. The entire staff at Elements was very nice, welcoming. The facility was clean, comfortable.

Honestly this was the best professional massage I’ve ever had. I have serious back pain and refuse to use pills to deal with it. Heather was amazing and did everything with the deep pressure I had requested prior to making my appointment. I have already recommended this location to friends and family and told everyone to request for Heather! She was very sweet and provided much needed back pain relief. I also REALLY appreciated the $ 40 price point for first timers during the plaza construction.

I been here twice now for massages. This time i am pregnant. What a treat that Luz was available again. She is nothing short of amazing and the touch of a true healer. I am a therapist myself with years of experience, who has previously done the hiring at my studio so i can tell you i am very picky with who massages me. Luz is very talented and so intuitive that she knew just what to do without me having to say a word. Her pressure was perfect and she has a rare gift i have only experienced once in my career. You can actually feel the heat coming from her hands and her energy even when she is not touching you. For an excellent massage and a truly amazing experience i highly recommend Elements and Luz to anyone. Luz means light in Spanish and boy does she surely have it! I left here feeling like a new person and will be back for sure

I can only comment on their advertisement of walk-​ins welcome… not-​so-​much. Called this morning to get a massage today (Wednesday) and was told they had no availability until 5pm Friday. Not exactly walk-​in friendly.

I’ve been having tension headaches for a couple of weeks, so I decided I needed to get a massage, and I saw this place was having a «construction» special, so I gave it a shot.
First, the good: Claudio was fantastic. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable in every possible way, and the way that he goes about massage is not like a corporate «This is what I do» style. I dislike when I go to a massage therapist and can tell they are going through their regular one-​hour routine. I want them to pay attention to my body and my needs. Claudio was fantastic for that. He spent a lot of time figuring out where exactly I was holding the tension in my shoulders and dug in deep enough to start getting it worked out. I am feeling some relief from my headache already, and that is awesome. Claudio is fantastic. He was personable and talkative, but he also didn’t make me feel like I needed to chat or make small talk the whole time. He let me relax. He paid attention to the signals I was not even aware I was sending, noting when my hands would tense or my breath rate would change, and he’d check to see if the pressure was okay. When I mentioned that I scrunch my hands like that when I focus in ballet too, he shared that he is also a ballet dancer. I think that makes a difference. Dancers really know the human body, better than anyone else I think.
Bottom line — if you go here for a massage and want deep pressure and personalized massage, choose Claudio.
Another plus, they offer a free gift for Unilocalers checking in… it’s a drawstring backpack and a water bottle. To be honest, I’d prefer a free hot stone upgrade or something, and that wouldn’t cost them anything, but swag is cool too. Can’t have too many bags I suppose.
At the rate for their construction special, this place would be a 5 star for sure, but I can’t give it five stars knowing that, if I want to go back, I have to pay $ 100, unless I want to become a member, which I don’t particularly want to do. In addition, their membership isn’t really in line with other membership places nearby. There is even a chiropractor in the Target parking lot, World of Wellness, that has spa-​style massages very similar to the Elements environment, and their regular price is $ 10 lower than the membership price here. If they would match the World of Wellness rate, then I’d for sure become a member. At the current price, however, I cannot, hence the 4 star rating.

I threw out my back on Wednesday like I’m 85 years old, dragged myself to work because I had a big presentation that day, rolled around in my roll-​y chair all day, and did the granny shuffle when I had to walk around. It was a pretty funny and pathetic sight. I was desperate for a massage, intent on having a functional day the next day. I desperately called everywhere for an appointment, and found an opening at Elements. Lucky too because I landed a session with Whitney, and she did such a great job. Found the culprit muscles that were all seized up, and she geniusly unlocked them. I had a decent day the next day, thanks to her! Thank you, Whitney!

I was miserable with a shoulder injury and couldn’t take it anymore. I found this place on Unilocal,and called to see how quickly they could get me in. Not only did they find a spot for me right away, it was with one of their Therapists who specialize in the sort of issues I’ve been having. Cory gave me an awesome deep tissue massage and I feel like a new woman! I should have gone to see him sooner, but I will make up for that by going back in on Monday for another Deep Tissue treatment. I am really grateful for how much better I am feeling right now!

I just moved here from Ohio and I feel very lucky to have found elements massage. I am a member and I go once a month or more and consider them a great value.

I came here to get a sports massage for my knee and I had Whitney as my therapist. She did a great job working out the knots in my lower back area and was really gentle with my knee that underwent surgery, but had enough firmness to break down my scar tissue. I walked out really relaxed and I had temporary relief in my knee. I even fell asleep at some point during my massage.
I paid an introductory price of $ 49 for a 55 minute massage and they were trying to schedule me for another appointment to work on my knee and back in 3 weeks, but I was really reluctant, because the prices are outrageous.
Basically, they have a wellness program membership that is month-​to-​month with no contract. If you participate in the program then you save $ 30 in your massage, but here’s the catch, the prices are jacked up. A 55 minute massage is $ 69 w/​the program and without it, then it would be $ 99. I’ve never heard of anywhere where you pay $ 100 without gratuity for a massage. That’s not even the competitors price. This program is very similar to Massage Envy. Although, I thoroughly enjoyed their massage, it’s not enough for me to go back, especially how overpriced it is.

I’ve been going to Elements Massage since they opened. They consistently provide me with a great experience — the front desk is always friendly — whether on the phone or in-​person. They are very helpful in identifying the correct therapist for your current needs and they are always on the spot with their recommendations.
Their therapists are amazing! They provide you with a wide array of therapists, whether you need someone with a light touch for a relaxing experience or a deep tissue to work out your knots. Regardless of who I go with, I always come out feeling 100x better!
The space is beautifully decorated and very relaxing.
