I called and reached Denise right away to book an appointment for my washing machine that was malfunctioning. She was able to give me an appointment that week.
Jim called ahead of his time slot letting me know he finished the last job early and asking if it was ok to come by early! Yep!
Once he got there he was quick to diagnose the problem, let me know because of the long holiday weekend, it wouldn’t be till Monday till he could get the part. I didn’t have to pay his consult fee since I chose to have him do the work. He left and less than an hour later called back to say that he happened to find the part needed at the local appliance shop (Miracle Appliance btw). He asked if he could come back to finish the job same-​day! Yep!
Once he got back with the part, it actually turned out to be a faulty part and didn’t fix the machine. However, upon putting my original part back, that fixed the problem (a jammed timing/​cycle switch, that just needed to be futzed with).
So all I was in for was the consult fee of $ 49 after all! No parts necessary.
Jim was knowledgable, fast, courteous, and got the job done! I was able to pay with a credit card over the phone to Denise after I ran a few loads of laundry through to make sure it was truly fixed. Its been about a month and my machine is still going strong! Thanks Jim and Denise! :D

If I could give zero stars I would. Thanks for nothing! My husband called and set up an appointment for today to get our dishwasher looked at. Well they were supposed to come at 2pm and called at 2:40 saying they couldn’t make it. Geez thanks a lot for wasting our time. I don’t recommend this company and will never call them again. Stay away

Dan is the man. My appliance man that is.
Having problems with my 10 year old Kenmore front loader. He came on time and after doing a detailed work over advised I replace rather than fix the old washer.
Really, I was impressed. How many people would have instead recommended I order some replacement parts and fix what was there. That is how they get paid isn’t it. He simply told me I would be better off starting from scratch at this point.
I have to say I am impressed and appreciate the honesty.
For the record I originally called this company to fix my dishwasher and they did a great job on that. When I had to have my washing machine fixed it was an easy call to make and true to past experience they felt like they were on my side and doing what was right versus what was best for them. I feel like they are part of my household team.

Jim was extremely polite and efficient. He fixed the refrigerator without a problem. He showed up 2 hours early. We will always use this company for our appliances. Great.

I first called and I was advised it would be 8 days until they could come out to look at my Whirlpool dryer (business must be good). I was told that there was a $ 49 visit charge and that my home was dead center of their normal service area. The repairman came right on time in the middle of the 2 hour window and was nice. He was here and gone in 9 minutes (I timed it) and replaced the fuse, which fixed the problem. The charge was $ 168 (the fuse I priced at less than $ 2). I paid the repairman and called Kathy to express my discontent with the charge for less than 10 minutes. She replied that the owner said that $ 168 was the proper charge.
I won’t dispute the charge with the credit card company, but I am very disappointed that Conejo Appliance Repair deems an almost $ 1000/​hr labor rate as OK. I would have expected a $ 100 charge ($ 49 visit, $ 50 for the 10 minutes) to replace a fuse. So the moral of the story: So much for the fine family run honest repair company– beware of overcharging. Not happy with them and will not recommend nor use again.

This is a reliable and trustworthy business. They give you a two hour window and call when they are on the way so you don’t waste time waiting around.
Service with a smile and an explanation of what they are doing & why makes me feel confident I will always use them in the future !!

Called them at 7 PM on a Friday during a heatwave. Tech quoted a price over the phone after I told him the symptoms that our busted AC was displaying. Actual fix was a bit above the quote but job looked liked some heavy lifting. Russell got the air blowing and our kids happy and left just before midnight.

I got tired of wearing damp clothes and figured I’d better get my dryer fixed before I lose any friends. I called Denise at Conejo Valley Appliance repair and she sent Sam out immediately. It was a 2 hour call period which is better than waiting all afternoon. Right?!
What I thought would be an expensive repair turned out to be a blocked dryer vent! 5 minutes at my house and he was done! Less honest, non-​English speaking companies would have found other things wrong and try to charge me.
Not Sam! No Charge! When was the last time you got a FREE house call?!
He then offered ideas on how to maintain both the washer & dryer and how to fix minor issues to save money in the future! Outstanding customer service! I couldn’t be happier! I will call them every time!

Jim and Denise are both so great, wouldn’t use anyone else ever again! I had them out last year to repair my dryer and this week my fridge. It’s so nice to be able to find someone that I can trust and know that they are being honest and fair. Love supporting family run businesses!

This is a family owned business. And Jim and Denise have always treated us like family. When they come out to fix something, you know it will be done right and for a reasonable price. Thanks for being the best appliance service ever!

Wow! Jim and Denise are awesome!!! I have a sub zero refrigerator that stopped working. I called 3 companies that came out and either didn’t know what was wrong (did not even really dissect it to find out) or were about to overcharge me by $ 500!!! I was finally referred to them! They fixed it and was honest about the price, saving me hundreds of dollars.
I am referring them now, might as well get the most honest, experienced and diligent company the first time!
Call them, you will be glad you did!

Being in the construction industry I know how valuable it can be to have an affordable and reliable service technician on hand when the «S» hits the fan. My combo washer dryer unit stopped working so I decided to call the person that sold it to me. Big mistake. He came out, looked at it, and told me it wasn’t worth the fix and I should just buy a new $ 1000 machine. Meanwhile charging me a consultation fee of $ 50. My mother referred me to Conejo Valley Appliance Repair, telling me how wonderful their service was (and affordable!!). Well all I can say is… mother knows best. I was able to schedule a technician to come look at the washer next day. The technician (Dan) was honest and showed me exactly what the problem was, gave me a very reasonable price to fix it (far less than buying a new unit), and told me he would come back two days later after the part arrived and fix it on a Saturday. Well my washer is now fixed and I am absolutely 100% satisfied with their service. Professional and punctual I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who seeks appliance repair.

I was having a problem with my stove not igniting and my refrigerator leaking from the ice maker onto the floor due to a backed up hose. This is a family business run by two brothers (Jim and Dan) and one of Denise (wife of Jim) answers the phone. I will defiantly use Conejo Valley Appliance again and would recommend them to anyone. They know what they are doing, arrived on time, professional, and has years of experience. I love Unilocal and this is how I found them. You can not go wrong with this company. I also like supporting a Conejo Valley family run business.

Jim from Conejo came by and helped us with a Fisher Paykal dishwasher today. His service was awesome! I highly recommend them for any service. In fact he took a look at our Dryer and I’m going to have him back to replace a part to keep the thing from rattling. Happy Wife, Happy Life. I’m keeping his number close by to keep our appliances running.

Conejo Valley Appliance has been taking care of me and my appliances since 1980. I have found them to be reliable. They come at the time of the appointment. They even called to let me know they were on their way. Brandon was knowledgeable about why I only got ¹⁄₃ of a tub full of hot water. He answered all my questions about a tankless versus the old fashioned. He was aware that there were new regulations for the install and that he had to get a permit to do the install. I trusted him with my garage and house codes since I could not be here. Because I have trusted Brandon over these past 35 years, I always call him. I never call around to check prices because there is no price you can put on an earned trust.

This family owned business has always done the right thing for our family. They will sometimes even help you solve your problem over the phone, or recommend someone if it’s not exactly within their purview instead of scheduling a service call, charging you for showing up & then telling you they can’t help. I highly recommend them for any home appliance repairs you may need. You can trust these guys!

Used them for different repairs (fridge, washing machine, dish washer) and always felt they treated us fairly.
Had them out today for a washing machine — water valve not turning off completely. The repairman said he could replace the valve or I could just install a quick shut off to the water supply. Based on the expected life of the washer, we opted for the quick shut off valves.
Nice to know they will give you all the facts so as to make an informed decision.

Used these guys twice. Quick, efficient, they upgrade the parts to save work later and they know their stuff. Fixed my oven door and garage outlet. :)
