You can’t knock a place for being in a location inconvenient for you, so given that is the only defect of Blown Away, I’m giving it 5 stars. V2 has been a pain in my a** for 16 months. I love this e-cig but the people in Miami are cognitively challenged and shipping is sheer hell. I was told – REPEATEDLY – that no retail outlets existed outside Tucson and Miami. LIE. Oddly, there are 3 in Roseville, 1 or 1 in Sacramento and 1 in Rocklin. My dear friend lives in Placer County close to all these places and I ate at Yard House in Roseville in September. MADDENING! I could have stocked up on supplies then. So at Walmart Oxnard yesterday – which did not carry V2 contrary to an article someone sent to me – I called V2 and was told there were two locations in Southern California: this and a place in Westlake. NOTE: From Oxnard, it’s closer to Westlake Village as that’s right off the 101 than to Simi Valley, though it’s fewer miles South from Oxnard. It was a horror getting there at rush hour on the 23 freeway and this is past the Reagan Library, so if you’re imagining this is just next to Moorpark, think again. But the man was so nice when I got there, looking like hell. I got three batteries at cost and a car charger. Also this place has the cheapest American Spirit Yellow I’ve ever seen – 6.03 – in California or any other state I travel, which are all vastly higher. Jersey is in the 8 range, MA in the 9 range, CT11.50 and NYC of course the worst offender due to Bloomberg taxes. At Duane Reade it’s 13.65 and at the bodegas in Upper East Side 15.25! Westlake Village is closer to me and just off the freeway from the 101 but if you live anywhere near Simi Valley, I would shop here both for V2 and regular tobacco products. They sell those hookah tubes or whatever that bong-like apparatus is called and the drinks at Chuy’s next door, a total dive with an irritating bartender but very nice manager, are good. They have Ketel One in a place that looks like a biker bar or truck-stop diner with tropical décor. It’s cheap food and happy hour is cheap but DO mention you want the HH nachos or they’ll try hard to charge for the regular ones. At 4 bucks, it’s fine. I would not pay 8 bucks for those nachos.
