Bought a car stereo for my son at Christmas without evening thinking about installation assuming Best Buy would do it– come to find out the nearest installer Best Buy has on staff is Woodland Hills. I called Audio Concepts– they were super quick, very reasonable (pricing was as good– if not better then Best Buy) and very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a blessing in disguise that Best Buy couldn’t help– I would not go back to Best Buy ever again for installation not when I can go here with certifiable technicians who obviously know and love what they do. No need to even think twice– I 100% recommend this shop!

Still waiting for the HID lights I ordered some time ago. Called on 3 separate occasions, but all I get is ‘we will check on them and call you back today’. Unfortunately no one ever calls back. There must be a problem with whomever orders and manages the orders coming in. Thinking about asking for my money back if I can’t get an answer today.

This review is undeservedly very belated. About a month ago, I got a new stereo for my car for my birthday. It was just a head unit that was better than my stock one, nothing too complex, but I had neither the equipment nor the desire to solder, so I called up Audio Concepts and asked if I could make an appointment to have it installed. I was about to go on a weekend trip out of town and it was very short notice, so I wasn’t expecting to be able to get an appointment right away. The gentleman who answered the phone informed me that while he didn’t have an appointment available until the following week, because it was such a simple project he was confident that if I left my car there for the better part of the day, he would be able to work on it in between other cars and get it done. I was totally okay with this as I didn’t need to leave until late in the afternoon, and he was right: got it done well before I needed to leave and even took the time to go over all of the stereo settings with me AND threw in a free auxiliary cable. Very courteous service and quality work; I absolutely recommend this place to friends and would come here again!

I brought in an 06 Prius. The first time around I waited an hour for them to work on it. Average time, average service. I go home and my car is behaving strangely. A/​C isn’t working and lights are flashing. When I put it in park, it screams at me and turns on the biggest, scariest warning light. I called back and told them, and after getting in touch with my dealer, was connected with the manager. For my safety, he came out TO MY HOUSE and sat and worked on my car for another hour, taking it apart and figuring out the problem and explaining it to me in terms I could grasp. He returned me to the shop and they fixed it for no extra charge, after another hour of labor. An experience I’ll never forget. THIS is customer service. I only wish I’d had cash on me to tip.

Just had my third full vehicle sound system installation by them. (Also had Alarms installed) I can’t say enough great things about these guys. Jose and Justin are always friendly and happy to answer any questions I have. Never pushy or trying to sell you on anything. I had a particular budget to work with and Jose made sure I got the best bang for my buck.
My latest build was tricky with the amount of space they were working with in order to fit a JL 10W6v3 behind my Tundra Crew Max rear seats without losing any leg room. (The seat only needed to move forward a tiny bit) The custom fiberglass box Jose fabricated was beyond my expectations. Super clean work and it sounds incredible.
I like the fact that they take their time to make sure everything is perfect. It’s obvious they take a lot of pride in the work they do. That’s hard to find these days.

I was looking to upgrade the head unit in my truck and was looking to get a unit with Navigation and better wattage output. In looking around the internet, I saw that Kenwood units were rated rather highly, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Audio Concepts dealt with Kenwood and was stocking a unit that I was interested in.
The entire process was pretty painless, as it was an uncomplicated installation. But, the install was clean, there were no rattles, and my truck was ready well before the estimated work time of two hours had elapsed.
Pricing on my head unit was comparable to what I saw online, and I was happy to keep my business in town.
Oh yeah, the nice thing about dealing with Audio Concepts is they back their work, so if there are any problems related to labor, they will fix it right away.
Based upon my experience, I would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future. Thanks guys!

My son just installed a sub woofer and amp in his car, and we couldn’t be happier. Justin and Jose are the best. We did extensive research, both in many stores and online, and after having a long conversation with Justin, we opted for Audio Concepts. He is patient, detail oriented and worked with us regarding the price as well. The sound system is amazing, and we know we couldn’t have gotten a better deal or better service anywhere else. We will DEFINITELY be recommending Audio Concepts to everyone.

I was treated to a quick and easy repair from these guys, the shop around the corner wanted $ 100 from me, these guys took a look at it and fixed in no time, therefore they charged me only $ 35! Great service and prices by these guys!

Awesome stereo shop. I had my stereo installed at a big box retailer, which was a huge mistake… but thats another review… I wanted to install a backup camera on my truck and these guys made it happen. The installer at Audio Concepts asked me for the wire harness that came with my new stereo so that he could connect the camera. I couldnt find anything in the box. Without the harness no install would be possible… or I would have to order a new one from Pioneer at a steep price. Audio Concepts figured that the big box retailer probably kept the harness in their shop, so THEY DROVE TO THE BIG BOX RETAILER and found my harness! Way above and beyond what a store would normally do. They did the install and it looks like a factory installed camera and works like a charm. I do not hesitate to highly recommend this shop. Customer Service is King and these guys know it!

After many trips to Neftin VW (see my review), I took my daughters car to Justin at Audio Concepts to see if he could resolve a rattle/​buzz in the drivers door of my daughters new Jetta. VW’s answer was «all our cars with the Fender audio have this problem». Justin took a look at it and said «no problem» and he delivered. We can now enjoy the car as it should be!

Definitely the best place in Simi to get a car stereo! I like to spend my money at locally-​owned businesses when I can, and this place did not disappoint! He gave me a great deal, provided great service and installed my stereo quickly. He gave me the perfect recommendation for my needs and I really love my new stereo. I couldn’t be happier!

This place is extremely professional and I would take my cars there again. Recently had my 2^nd car worked on, and the care they take is 1^st class! They make everything flush-​mounted, clean, and guarantee their work… best spot in locally by far! and they’re willing to make deals!
