Our boutique winery produces over 3,000 cases per year, including more than 20 different wines. Our Barrel Room is open for wine tasting Wednesday through Sunday from Noon until 5 p.m. Wine tasting is FREE except for Memorial Day Weekend and Thanksgiving Weekend. Enjoy sipping unique varietals and our own custom blends. Our signature red wine, Marechal Foch, is popular with most all our customers. Stop by and taste for yourself why we win so many awards.

History

Established in 2004.

Twenty years ago, we tasted a Marechal Foch wine. The rest is history. Vines were planted, and Chris & Bruce started making ‘garage wine’. More vines, more varieties were planted by Chris, more ‘garage wine’. The wine-​making hobby became a business and has continued to grow, and grow. So have the vines!

In 2009 we started our wine club. We now have 3 clubs to choose from and over 300 active members throughout the United States. Wine Club Members enjoy free wine tasting (even during special events and at Festivals), save 20% on all their wine purchases and access to wines crafted exclusively for Wine Club Members only.

In 2010 we ran out of room at the vineyard for the winery, so we moved to the edge of town, sharing a facility with a local brewery. Our tasting room is still part of our warehouse space but don’t let the industrial look of the building fool you. We’re known for our welcoming, friendly nature as well as fabulous wines. So come on by and say ‘Hi’!

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Two couples, friendships dating back to school years, own Vitis Ridge, the Deckelmanns (right) and the Eichs (left).

Chris & Sharon D. own two vineyards in the Silverton area. Chris also manages vineyards for other owners in the area. He is our winemaker, and we’re very proud of his purple hands. Sharon is the one that keeps us in the public eye, arranging events, participation in festivals, tasting room activities. It’s quite a job keeping it all straight and compliant.

Bruce & Sally E. are non-​aggies. Bruce still works full-​time in human resources for a large insurance company, and uses vacation time to help out at festivals, during harvest and bottling. He’s our company president and jack-​of-​all trades. Find him topping barrels, or pouring tastes. Sally works in the office primarily, keeping the books, overseeing marketing and advertising, but can also be found at festivals and in the tasting room.
