Someone told the owner just put out any crap and these people from Silverton will eat it. Wrong. This place is so bad I could not eat my food. McDonald’s was a much better option, and that’s not even food. None of the staff are food service professionals. And you can tell. Nothing is fresh.

This was terrible. I have actually been here 4 times. This was only by my choosing the first time and the dinner I had here tonight was the last straw. I am a le cordon bleu culinary institute graduate so I know what I am talking about. The first time I came here was for breakfast and the only problem was i ordered an omlette that had asparagus in it. When it came to the table it had broccoli. While I like broccoli when I order asparagus I expect it to have asparagus. The second time I came was also for breakfast. There were 2 tables in the entire restaurant. I waited 20 minutes for the waitress to bring my diet pepsi. Now I am not racist at all some of my closest friends are hispanic and I think they have an amazing and rich culture. My waitress’ english was at the level of a special needs second grader. If you are going to work in the service industry where language skills are important it is imperative that you speak good english. It took 30 minutes for our food to come. while walking to the restroom I glanced in the kitchen and saw that there were 2 line cooks working and one of them was wearing headphones. if it takes 2 line cooks 30 minutes to cook breakfast for 4 people then I deserve a michellin star for the work I do on an electric range. The third time I came it was for lunch and I cringed when I saw that I would be served by the same waitress as my last visit. This time our party was of 6. our drinks took so long to come that I actually got up and went to the bar and asked the owner for my beer. we all ordered a sandwich or burger and one order of chicken strips for the child with us. It took forty five minutes for our food to come. I had ordered my sandwich with the horse radish mayonnaise on the side. It came with it on. I brought this to the attention of my server and she took it back to the kitchen and it re appeared 2 minutes later. They had scraped the mayonnaise of the toasted bun. They didn’t scrape it off of the roast beef. The chicken fingers were pieces of chicken dredged in corn starch and fried until dry as the mojave. I swore I would never come again. Then tonight I ended up there again. I don’t know why I let myself be talked into it but I did. We got there and the restaurant was busy. I saw that the owner was taking tables and since I had heard she had been in the industry for many years I thought the speed of service would be better. 15 minutes after ordering our drinks a busboy with sagging pants and a horrid piercing in his face brought my mother’s lemon drop. It tasted like country time lemonade with a shot of vodka in it. our sodas still had not come and I was forced to ask our server for them. She acted like she had just remembered we had ordered them. Finally ten minutes later they came. It took 30 minutes for our soup and salads to come. The clam chowder was decent and the dressing on the spinach salad was nice, even though the slice of onion on top had dry brown spots on it like it came from the outer most layer of the onion. after another 20 minutes our meals came. Everyone except one persons food was cold. Our server had told us that the vegetable for the night was deep fried green beans, but the special for the night came with broccolini. being somewhat disturbed with the concept of deep fried green beans being a dinner vegetable and not a happy hour bar appetizer, I requested the broccolini. what I got with my meal was three three inch in diameter broccoli florets. I ordered the chicken oscar which the menu boasted had fresh dungeness crab meat on it. The crab meat was not dungeness and it certainly wasn’t fresh. It was canned lump crab meat. The hollandaise sauce on it tasted like whipped egg yolk. There was nothing buttery and light about it and absolutely no taste of lemon. My mother who ordered crab cakes actually sent it back because it was so cold. ten minutes later it came back looking exactly how it did before. the drizzle lines of sauce going over the cakes and onto the plate still lined up perfectly. It was very clear that the whole plate had been thrown in the microwave. someone else in the party had ordered spinach dip and I swear to god it came from a grocery store deli. You could even taste the plastic it was packaged in. It was more like reeser’s macaroni salad than any spinach dip I’ve ever tasted. My entrée was 16.95 and this is the first time I actually stiffed my server. I generally tip 15 percent for bad service and up to 35 for good service. The inside of the building is gorgeous as it was built for a much better Italian restaurant but the tacky gold gilted picture frames and flea market art hung on the wall are a true eyesore. I would beg anyone considering eating here to not. there are a couple restaurants in silverton that actually serve good food. I would suggest the Silver grill or the restaurant at the Oregon Garden. Even subway would have been a step up from my experience there. since leaving 0 stars wasn’t an option I was forced to leave
