Stopped in here on our way to driving home from Aspen. As soon as you walk in you can feel the coziness of this place. It’s small but that’s expected. The service was welcoming and we had a table available right away. Our food came out quickly too! I ordered the fish and chips, my wife had the pork tenderloin sandwich, and my son had the hot wings. My fish was cooked well, but my only complaint was that it was served with french fries and not the potato wedges. They also added lettuce and pickles. Not sure how that went together with the meal. My wife loved her sandwich. I tasted it and the meat wasn’t dry and it was packed with flavor. The hot wings wasn’t spicy which was good because my son can’t handle very spicy foods yet. We will definitely be coming back here next time we are in town. Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu!

Had a great experience at Murphys today. Great service, great food and great patrons. Jacks Irish quesadillas and the Reuben were very good. I will definitely be back.

Murphy’s is a local favorite as well as visitors to happen on to it. Amazing service as well as the best corned beef(the real stuff!) and specials every night. Excellent happy hour for beer and drinks. We eat here quite often(not a bar person) but this is a nice hangout with excellent food and service. Always fast service with a smile. Don’t miss your opportunity to visit based on someone else’s opinion, make up your own mind! You will be glad you did.

Four instead of five only because the chicken fried steak was only warm, frys were smoking hot. Service with a smile and very prompt. A bit loud. Grilled chicken wrap 5 stars.

I can’t imagine why this restaurant gets bad reviews. I have been eating there almost weekly for several years. The service is always friendly, efficient and prompt, and the food is always excellent. Prices are also reasonable, and they frequently advertise specials in the local newspaper. Yes, the bar is a hangout for locals, but that just adds to the atmosphere.

PLEASEREAD! DONOTGOTOTHISRESTAURANT. TERRIBLESERVICEANDRUDEWORKERS. If I could give no stars, I would. I just left this restaurant with my family about 10 minutes ago and I feel so strongly about this place that I need to warn others before they go. We got to this restaurant, ordered drinks, appetizers, and eventually dinner. We were enjoying taking our time and the waitress came over several times to ask if we were ready to order and the first two times we weren’t. After that, she hardly showed up to our table at all. We got one water refill the entire night so we all ate our dinners with no drinks. We had to constantly ask for steak sauce, an extra glass, etc because she seemed to forget about us. The food wasn’t cooked very well. The experience wasn’t very good at all. When the bill came, there was an automatic gratuity of 18% because we had 6 people. My dad felt bad about saying something but we encouraged him to ask the manager to take off the tip so that we could write in our own of what she deserved. He immediately had an attitude and said«My pleasure. I don’t want you to wait any longer!» With an attitude. He proceeded to walk over to our waitress, tell her all of this, laughing, and she comes over and says«You could’ve told me, I would have taken it off if you think I did that badly.» She then laughed and walked away without even taking our bill. Once the manager ran the bill and brought the check back and said«Take your time.», he walked off saying«F**kers» under his breath. My dad wrote in a tip thinking that she deserves something for her work, just not 18%. The manager walks back up to us and said exactly this with the most attitude I’ve ever heard, «Since you don’t feel like tipping our waiters, we have plenty of people waiting for this table who will.» My dad then scratched out the tip and we got up and left.(There were two people at the door… lots of people waiting, huh?)

One star for horseshoes in back yard. Save for that the cocktails are weak, Guiness WAY too cold, food is just bad. Server came to the table twice on her phone. SERIOUSLY!

The service here was horrible! ! We stopped in for lunch, we only saw our waitress twice; once to take our order & to bring our drinks. Someone else brought our food & they dropped the food & left before I could even ask for ketchup! I also had an empty drink and no offer if we needed anything else. I finally had to go to the bar for ketchup & a new drink. Nothing from the bartender that he would send our waitress over. We finally had to flag another waitress down for our bill, note our waitress NEVER came back. The other point of interest is besides the bar crowd we were the only table in there, until we were almost done with our meal. So it is not like they had the sorry we were slammed excuse! We will never be back! The food was also nothing to write home about, tasted like it was reheated in the microwave.

If I could put a title on this review, it’d be «Beware the 2 for 1.» This place puts an ad in the paper everyday with a 2 for 1 coupon on entrees from 5−7pm. The only other condition on the coupon was that you had to show it to your server before ordering. We’d never been there & the deal was good, so we tried it out one Sunday in July. As other reviewers have noted, the place turned out to be sort of a dive, but the waiter was friendly and the food(fish tacos and shepard’s pie) were decent. When the bill came, it had the tip(18%) already added in to what the original price(without the free entrée) would’ve been. I support that 100% — people tend to tip on the price shown & this 2 for 1 special would cut a server’s tips in half. We even left a couple bucks extra; the service was fine. We were tired last night(7⁄30) & didn’t feel like cooking, so we decided to take advantage of that 2 for 1 special again. Handed the coupon to the server, who immediately barked that in order to get the special, we had to buy two alcoholic drinks or an appetizer. She seemed pretty unhappy about us asking for the special. We should’ve left at that point, but instead, bought a couple of grilled chicken wraps. The cost of the two wraps($ 8 each) was less than the cost of the more expensive entrée that we’d planned to get($ 18). Deliberately bought nothing to drink, not even a coke. The wraps were ok; fresh tortillas, at least. We’d asked for«chips» as the side. OMG, don’t do that! They’d sliced up potatoes(potatoes with fungus in the middle) and attempted to fry them. Some of the slices were brown, some still white & greasy. The service this second time was fair. She refilled our water once, but we did have to chase her to get the check. In her defense, she did seem to be the only server in the place. Someone who might have been the manager was walking around, but he didn’t appear to be doing anything. After re-reading my review, I changed the stars from 2(meh) to 1(don’t go). They had a nice neighborhood bar vibe & if you’re just looking for drinks at the bar, it might be fun. But since the food we had ranged from at best decent to downright gross, I can’t really recommend it for food. And for sure don’t fall for the 2 for 1 «special!»

Food sucks, place is not clean, service is slow. Mostly local power drinkers that show up for happy hour. Had burger on 7÷15÷14, my burger arrived WARM you could tell it was cooked ahead of time and almost reheated. About a year ago I had their Fish & Chips it was just like what you get at Costco. I live in the area, 5 minutes walk, the location I like, no driving, I have been here more than once and I always say never again

We went here after reading recommendations on Unilocal,in the hopes to find some great food that we don’t have back home. Well once we entered, we noticed a smell that was more like someone washed the carpets and didn’t clean it properly and left it wet. Later server took forever to take the order and even to bring some water, after it was asked. Long story short, we ordered burgers and fries. It looked great and tasted okay at first, but it was dripping of grease. It took us 5 hours to digest it and we were in cramps the entire time. I would not recommend it, unless you like the cramping and bad indigestion.

Went for lunch today, they had an ad in the paper for sirloin, baker, and salad. I guess they do this special on Fridays for a good price. I was early(11:15), and there were already locals there for the experience. Very funny waiter singing along with the classic rock music, good food and atmosphere. The rest of the menu looked really good also. I’m not sure, but maybe back in the late ’80’s or early ’90’s this was a different restaurant with a logo and sign that was similar to the Rossignol ski logo from that time(blue white and red). Was it a French place? Anyway there is still a concrete pig out front I think it has had it’s paint removed. Does anyone remember what that was called? Was it any good?

Bad service. They don’t like out of town folk. Also got very upset about splitting the bill and we even asked before ordering. The food was ok. It did come fast but the service didn’t make the experience enjoyable.

First things first, I should not have to wear gloves in the inside of a restaurant. It is freezing in there. The wait staff is slooow. The food is mediocre, and for an place to be called an irish establishment, you would think they would have more than one irish Beer. I give them the. Go to Cale’s down the way.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time to play poker. The service is always great and attentive, and the clientele is usually friendly and mellow. It’s a nice change from the obnoxious tourist-laden bars in Breck. They’ve been in business since 1856, probably in that very building. The building comes with a lot of character. It’s a nice, unassuming local bar. You have to try the bread pudding — it’s outta the world. Great, now I’m jonesing for some!!!

Food is good, and location is good… I would not say that this place is good for kids. The staff constantly frowned and circled the area outside where our kids were enjoying a beautiful afternoon. This place is better for happy hour with your buddies after work, not for families en route to a weekend mountain destination. Especially since the staff was enjoying their cigarettes out back where the kids were playing.

We love Murphy’s. Prices are right on par with the area and if you go in at the right time, they have cheap burgers at lunch and happy hour prices for drinks later on. The back patio is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon playing horseshoes and socializing. For a traditional St. Patty’s Day meal any day of the year, their corned beef and cabbage is to die for.

If I could rate this place a «0» I would. Looked like a cute place from the outside — and had a great atmosphere. I’m always a sucker for a great Irish pub, so I was looking forward to a relaxing belly-up with the fam. First… the tables were all dirty and sticky. We picked a table that seats 8(for a family of 4) as it was the least sticky… My husband ordered a soup and salad combo. The salad looked generic(and according to him, it totally was). I never understand why salad-in-a-bag is EVER served in a restaurant. Salads aren’t difficult, people. And neither is homemade salad dressing. Yet, his was served with bottled dressing and stale boxed croutons.(Croutons are so easy to make from scratch, and you can’t beat the flavor!) His soup was«supposed» to be chicken noodle. I don’t know what he was served. It looked like canned soup(think Campbell’s — and not the Chunky variety), but jiggled like Jell-O. I don’t know about you, but jelloed soup isn’t the least bit appetizing. My husband took about 5 bites and pushed it away. I wouldn’t have taken one. He gave it a good ol’ college try. My son ordered grilled cheese.(I was telling a friend about this later and her response was, «How do you mess up a grilled cheese?» THAT is an excellent question!!!) He took one bite and said, «I don’t like it.» It basically was Texas toast and Velveeta. Really? Velveeta? In a restaurant? Epic fail. Oh… by the way, my son is 5. FIVE! My daughter(two) ordered the spaghettio’s. Yep, you guessed it. From a can. And they were cold. She took 3 bites and pushed it away, saying, «Don’t like it!» ‘Nuff said. I ordered the fish tacos. Eh. They were ok. But I have ordered better fish tacos from Applebee’s. All this to say, save yourself the trip. If you want an awesome Irish pub atomsphere with excellent food(not from a can or a box), drive the extra 10 minutes and head over to the Cala Inn in Dillon.( ). The food is fresh and delicious. Our bill was about $ 40. I would have rather spent $ 20 at McDonalds. At least there they don’t try to mask processed food. Note to the owner: First of all, it’s bad form to give your own restaurant a 5-star review. Second, for the sake of your business, please hire a chef who can do your atmosphere justice and provide your patrons with freshly made Irish fare from scratch. Your business and your community will thank you. And for the love of all things Holy, please don’t EVER serve processed cheese. Perhaps after a few pints this might be a pleasant taste, but I assure you, for the sober, this is just wrong-wrong-wrong.

A full parking lot in an off-season is always a good sign. Had the Shepard’s Pie and it warranted the OMG from the last review. Savory, cheesy, hearty… the kind of food that sticks to your ribs. The service was speedy(I couldn’t believe how fast our food came out!) but a little salty… not of the downright nasty kind, but more of the woke up on the wrong side of the bed variety. That being said, the food was good enough and well-priced enough for the mountains, that I am sure we will be back.
