Fujiyama Japanese Steak House & Bar

Being from the east coast I’m use to hibachi serving large potions and having leftovers. This place disappointed me. It’s not that much food for what the customer pays for.

While I still very much want to enjoy Fujiyama, their quality of food and chefs are dramatically declining. The last few times we’ve been in the chefs were not attentive and either extremely over cooked or extremely over seasoned the food. Last night, our chef may have spoken ten words the entire time and doused everything in soy sauce. That’s all you could taste. It made for a very awkward and disappointing meal. It seems if you want the best chance at a good chef and experience you need to go on a weekend night for dinner. They have their best on the floor but you’ll also be waiting a while for a table and the place will be packed (aka sitting shoulder to shoulder while you dine.) We’ve enjoyed coming in for dinner and lunch during the week as it’s not nearly as busy but with that you’re accepting a sub standard dining experience for a hefty price. No thanks. I just cannot accept the gamble of paying over $ 100 for less than appetizing food.
If you are set on going and want to guarantee a good chef, call ahead and reserve a seat with Casey. He’s the best and worth the price.

Went on Christmas day and it was amazing wasn’t expecting an experience like it I would go there again I love our chef and the yum yum sauce was delcious :)

Walked in to a nearly empty restaurant to be told it was an hour wait because they were lacking sufficient staffing.

Best place in town, they put on a great show and keep you entertained while they cook.
Great cooking as well.

Super delicious! I’ve been to several live hibachi restaurants and Fujiyama was great! I enjoyed the chicken and scallops. The rice and veggies were good too. I wasn’t a big fan of the soup. I prefer miso soup. Our cook was wonderful! I think he really made the experience. Overall, it was very enjoyable and very good. I can see coming back again for sure.

This place is so fun! You watch the. Chef’s doing fancy moves. The food is tadty too. Be prepared to pay for the show.

Went here last night for Friday date night. We’d been a few years ago but I couldn’t remember how it was. This time it was awesome. Will was our chef and he was great. He did a few things I hadn’t seen before and I’ve been to quite a few hibachi restaurants. The food was cooked and flavored well and everyone got what they ordered. I was very happy with the whole meal from the soup and salad to the show and the food. When I’m craving hibachi I will definitely be back since the drive to Benihana is a big far.

Was there for Saturday hibachi lunch, we arrived about 10 minutes after they open. We were quickly seated. We were seated with a family with 2 children who were excited to see the «show». The chef arrived at the table and reviewed our menu selections. The chef poured the sauce into the sauce plate, dribble it to next sauce plate, filled it, dribble it to the the sauce plate, filled it etc. The chef did not speak to us, he just cooked and slopped (I do mean slopped) the food on our plates and on the table — the salt shaker got fired rice on, the picture is after we wiped some of the rice away. There was no «show», the 2 children were disappointed, parents and we were disappointed too. I order the Tempura dinner — key word «tempura». Some of my food was cooked with tempura batter, the majority of the plate was cooked with panko breading. The service was bad too, we had to call the waitress over twice to refill our drinks — water, soda and ice tea.

Good food. We came in for lunch but the server delayed us so long that we couldn’t get lunch prices.

My family loves this place! It is a great night out for a special occasion or just a nice family dinner. My son LOVES the onion volcano and seeing it light up with fire. My only complaint is that it is a little chilly in there all the time! But this is a great spot, friendly staff and good food!

My husband and I had the chicken and steak for two. It comes with the soup, salad, vegetables, chicken fried rice, 2shrimp, your meat and ice cream! Super good deal for all the food you get. Soup was awesome broth like with mushrooms and onions in it, the salad was good just ice burg lettuce cucumber and tomato but the dressing was amazing! The vegetables were definitely my favorite, next time I go I’ll get the vegetables as my entrée. The meat was really good especially with the yum yum sauce! Overall it was fantastic and we will definitely be back! With our kids

Yum yum sauce is not the only thing that makes the food yummy. Great atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. The salmon dinner is a great value. Too much food to eat in one sitting for most ladies. My husband finished all of his food because it was delicious not just because it would make his mama proud. The garbage can drink was purity stellar but the $ 10.50, is debatable. Not that I wouldn’t order it again. Our chef was funny, entertaining and best of all, knew what he was doing. Everything was cooked perfectly and it made for a great night out with my husband. I wouldn’t recommend bringing young toddlers or babies to this place because of the table side action. Every parent I’ve ever seen with a baby or toddler there also had the look of regret on their face. Enjoy

This is my second time eating here, and it’s even better than before.
Right off the bat, kudos and a fat raise to Nick in the bar. My cousin uses a wheelchair, and Nick had no problem accommodating us. He gave us the corner table, which he had literally just cleared seconds before, so that my cousin could slide easily into the booth and park his chair out of the way of other patrons. He honored our request to change one of the TV channels to NASCAR so that we could watch the race, he brought us our beer and sake in a timely fashion, hooked us up even further by changing another TV’s channel to the NASCAR channel just so we could hear the race, while not disturbing another couple who were having their dinner at the bar.
Fujiyama’s = Excellent food and incredible service. Five stars truly earned.

My family and I are regulars at this fine establishment. There servers are outstanding; the chefs put on and outstanding show and the Hibachi Steak, veggies and fried rice are cooked to perfection. 3 particular cooks stand out: Casey, Peter, and Will. They can cook and entertain the very young and the very old. Amazing crew and the bar makes excellent drinks as well.

My husband and I had seen this restaurant, but had never tried it, today was the perfect day to try it for lunch. We were greeted immediately and there was no wait to be seated.
We were seated with a large family group who had already placed their drink orders. Our server was quick to get our drinks added and was friendly and attentive the entire time.
We got vegetables, shrimp, chicken, steak, calamari, and fried rice. The onion soup with chicken broth was delicious, the rest of the food was good, if prepared out of the order we were accustomed to, say at Benihana’s. It showed up on our plates like this… veggies, calamari, rice, chicken, steak, shrimp. All pretty delicious, although if I had to do over, probably would get the plain rice, as the fried was a little heavy on the salty soy. (I think that depends on the chef, the next grill over, we saw that chef go a little easier on the soy.) The same for the calamari, but I also didn’t ask for light salt. Steak cooked to medium well perfection, chicken juicy and flavorful – a nice relaxing meal.
We will return.

This place is always hit or miss. Sometimes it’s great, but we’ve also had burnt scallops and a chef who got egg on his face and stopped doing tricks and talking. They aren’t consistent so it’s hard to rate them — Either they’re amazing or terrible, rarely just OK. For the price of the food you expect more.

What a great place to come last night and enjoy great food with some of the family.
It was a daughters suggestion that I made our reservation «on line»…from my iPhone… how cool was that!!!
Six of us arrived a few minutes before our 5:00pm reservation… a lot of folks there too… after a few minutes we were seated. Drink orders were taken, now the task of selecting your dinner begins. The menu isnt exhaustive but there are so many excellent choices. While the others went for a teriyaki chicken or steak combination, I selected the tempura dinner… a combination that includes chicken, shrimp, vegetables and squid… each lightly tempura battered. This dish also is served with steamed rice, soup and salad.
Everyone enjoyed the «show» with the chef cooking the foods teppanyaki style at the table.
Food was superb, service was outstanding. We’re coming back… hope to see you here!!!

This place is great. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. This is the second time I have been here. This time it was for my boyfriend’s birthday celebration. We shared a table with two other couples. The cook was entertaining and quick, which i alwayd appreciate as I want to talk to my dinner company versus stayiny hush hush the entire time. I alerted the staff to the birthday and they were kind enough to forgo the whole song and dance and provided him with a piece of cake. We will be back!
