Calvary Chapel of Canyons

I love this place! It’s very difficult to find a church that truly teaches it’s congregants about the bible without omitting things that are «unappealing». Pastor Larry manages to incorporate sermons, bible verses and current events in such a way that captivates the audience and motivates you to study further into the sermon. I have felt that some of the larger «mega» churches are only preaching self-​serving messages that validate poor judgement and a lack of integrity. I hate to sound harsh but it is frustrating to encounter such things in a church. Calvary Chapel of the Canyons is the complete opposite, they have been so friendly and welcoming from the very beginning. The church staff and Pastor Larry will go out of their way to answer any questions and/​or assist you personally on your journey. The congregants are like an extended family. The atmosphere is very peaceful and spiritual, situated in historic Silverado Canyon. The drive into the canyon alone is like nothing else out there, a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This church worships God in Spirit and in Truth. This is a Spirit filled church with Solid Bible teaching (verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book.) The Location is great as well! It feels like you are on a retreat every time you attend. John 13:35 says, «By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.» The body of believers at this church truly love one another. Newcomers feel welcomed when they attend!
