Was kind of disappointed when I discovered that most of the produce isn’t local. I might as well have gone to Publix. I would’ve gotten the same thing. They did have a few specialty items like sourwood honey, for example. I am loyal to Willoughby’s though because I loved going to the Magnolia location as a child. The way the produce smelled mixed with the earthen floor was a little bit of heaven to me. Don’t ask me why. I still love it.
Luckily, just down the street from Willoughby’s was a family selling collard greens from the bed of their truck. These were absolutely gorgeous and HUGE!!! They cooked up real nice with some ham hock. I wish Willoughby’s sold things more along this line.
