Silver Spring Dog Training is a new business that was established with the sole purpose of keeping dogs in their forever homes through private, in-​home dog training.

Lisa H.

Business Owner

Lisa has had a lifelong love of dogs, and has worked professionally with them for 12 years. Working at animal shelters has inspired her to focus on dog training to make sure dogs are well trained and happy in their forever homes. As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-​KA), she can teach you and your dog the tools for success.

Lisa believes that in order to see training results, you and your dog must have mutual respect for each other. She can show you how to convey this to your dog through positive reinforcement training techniques. Communication is key!

She has experience in puppy training, basic and advanced obedience, and problem behavior modification. Her specialties are working with multiple dog households, fearful dogs and rescue dogs.

She lives in Silver Spring, MD with her husband Jimmy and their four dogs, Frosty, Tank, Shadow and Brooklyn.
