This is the best doctors office I’ve been to period. I’m sad I have moved and I won’t be able to receive prenatal care here. The staff was great, the whole practice is so established, professional, and courteous. I think its amazing what they have there and the care they are providing to their patients. Regarding the wait, I waited for a good hour but it didn’t even feel like that long because the environment is comfortable and I was brought back so I had my privacy. The wait was no problem and well worth it, I never felt judged not even once! Love this place…

Dr. Kreitmann is phenomenal! He and his staff are kind, responsive and very professional. I went to him after finding him on the Da Vinci surgical website and informed him that I wanted to utilize the procedure. He took the time to explain my medical options very clearly and honestly, the results and any possible side effects. He emailed me and gave me his mobile number and was very responsive when I utilized both. His staff made sure that I had everything I needed and even made appointments for me for pre-​op. Dr. Kreitmann also took the time before and after the surgery to reassure me about the procedure, which was unnecessary. I am a very particular of my healthcare provider and their staff and have recommended him to everyone I know!

Dr. Kreitmann is a superb doctor. For those that complain about wait… that is what happens with good doctors. I had major surgery with him, I have been a ptient for over 12 years. He is kind, responsive, and he cares about his patients. Those that wrote a bad review, really, what are your expectations? Because what you mention is utterly inaccurate.

I have worked in the medical profession since 2003. I have experience working in the ICU and customer service in the hospital. With that being said here is my experience objectively:
I found myself needing to find an OB-​GYN after 4+ home pregnancy tests and missing a period. I am fairly new to the area (about 3 yrs) so I don’t know many people personally. I have always felt word of mouth was the best route to finding an excellent medical professional that you can trust. Since I couldn’t go to any close friends/​family nearby, I based my decision to go to Dr. Kreitmann off of scores on healthcare review website.
At my first appt the wait was not long, about 5 – 10 minutes after filling out paperwork. My boyfriend was with me. I thought it was important for him to be apart of every aspect of the pregnancy since we were both very excited to be pregnant. We went in for a transvaginal u/​s (ultrasound) and to our dismay there was no baby to be found despite my symptoms pregnancy (breast tenderness, food cravings, some nausea). Dr. Kreitmann was professional and explained that we would get an HCG level and set an appt exactly a week later for follow-​up. I did go through about a week of grieving, and finally came to the terms that it simply wasn’t meant to be.
At my 2^nd appt, the wait was over half an hr. I didn’t notice, but my bf had pointed it out. I said, in the dr’s defense, that he’s probably seeing another pt, and that he couldn’t see 2 ppl at once anyways so be patient. We were then seen and proceeded to do another transvaginal u/​s. Still no baby. Dr. Kreitmann explained that D&C might have to be planned after he see’s the blood work that they’ll send again that day. He said he would call back. That day was ¹⁄₁₃ Mon. I got a call back on ¹⁄₁₇ Fri, he wanted to schedule the D&C for the following Friday ¹⁄₂₄. I asked him how long would I be in the hospital. He said I would go in on Friday and be out by Monday. That struck me as rather odd for an outpatient procedure, and D&C’s don’t take that long. I told him I strictly work Sat & Sun, I am free M-​F. On Monday 1/​20, I found an email from the day before from him that he scheduled by surgery for ¹⁄₂₃ Thu. I would’ve have understood if it was an emergency but he didn’t make sure if the day was ok with me or if I was even okay with going through with at all.
I also consulted my mother on her opinion (medical professional for more than 30yrs in a variety of ICU’s) and she said that it is no rush. I called him to cancel my appt and he said that it wasn’t fair to him because he spent 45min making my story for my chart, his staff at the office working on my chart, and the hospital staff working on my chart. I told him that I could not make the appt because I didn’t have a ride. He said take a cab. I said how will I get home, my boyfriend will be at work. Then he said why can’t he call off, he did this to you, that’s not right that he just goes off and does his own thing. I told him that he does not know the nature of my relationship between me and my boyfriend. I told him I would call back and see what I could do and hung up.
After seeking opinions of others (my mother’s, co-​workers), I called his office back and told them I’m canceling and not coming back. His secretary tried to stop me by saying that this is so last minute and that he would want to talk to me. I said ok, and I’m still waiting for a call back.
My opinion: I don’t mind having a knowledgeable doctor taking care of me despite their rudeness in EMERGENCY situations as long as they know what they are doing and saves my life. I was very disrespected by the way he talked to me. He judged me and my significant other through a chart and seeing our faces only for a total of less than an hour. I have never talked to my patient’s in that manner, and always worked by the ideal of «what if I (or my family) was in their shoes.» I may have stayed with this doctor if he had not talked to me in that manner. It does not bode well to have someone operate on you that you are angry with or do not have a good relationship with. Doctors forget that they are human and how to interact with other humans as well. Needless to say I will be looking in to other doctors.

I am writing this review 18 years late. I was scanning my daughter’s birth certificate for her, and saw Dr Kreitman’s name on it and wondered if he was still practicing. I’m delighted to see that he still is, because he saved both our lives the night she was born. I showed up at the Washington Adventist Hospital on NOvember 27, 1994, bleeding abnormally. My regular OB was not available — after all, it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving (I’m sorry I forget his name: He was wonderful. Older, foreign born, possibly eastern European???) Before we knew what was happening, I was whisked into an operating room and that’s the last thing I remember. My baby, who was breach, had abrupted (?) my uterus, and I was nearly bleeding to death. My husband, a 2^nd year medical student, watched in horror as I was given an emergency c-​section. An hour later, I woke up to find my baby safe and healthy. I had to take massive doses of iron for the next month or two, and was confined to bed (which was fine with me!) but thanks to Dr Kreitman, we are here to celebrate her high school graduation. I never got the chance to thank him, so thank you, Dr Kreitman, thank you! By the way, my husband decided against OB and is now a family doctor (!)

It seems like the waiting issue has not improved. I visited yesterday and while I got into the exam after 15 minutes, I waited in the exam room for about 35 minutes. The staff was also not very friendly except for one older woman who took my blood pressure. No one checked in with me about the long wait until I went outside the exam room after 25 minutes to complain (and they said someone was ahead of me, although my appointment was at 12 and it was now 12:35. What???).

Dr. Kreitmann is the best gynecologist I’ve ever seen. He and his staff put you at ease and he’s gentle and efficient. I’ve never felt uncomfortable with him and can easily talk to him about anything. He explains conditions and procedures in language that’s easy to understand but not condescending.
I highly recommend him.

This is based on my one and only visit. Dr. Kreitmann is professional, easy to talk to, and although not one to spend too much time in the exam room, all-​in-​all he seems to be a good doctor.
The experience at his office was marred, however, by the fact that I waited close to one hour to see him (despite the fact that I was on time for my apt. and it was the last apt. of the day, the office was not busy). Worse yet, his staff of receptionist/​techs were unprofessional, immature, and could be found milling around and dangling themselves and their bare feet all over the furniture during my entire visit. The group of young, bored, and apparently annoyed/​angry employees were a bit intimidating, and I hesitated to interrupt their private conversations and cell phone calls to ask questions related to my visit/​treatment lest I endure the ol’ «evil eye». After waiting alone in the exam room for more than 45 minutes, I popped my head out to make sure I hadn’t been forgotten. Two of the aforementioned angry/​bored employees sneered/​snapped at me «He [will] be with you in a minute!»
The office never followed up with my test results and after leaving 4 phone messages I was finally responded to by yet another annoyed staff member who sounded almost angry to report that my tests were all normal. As in, «how dare you bother me about NORMAL test results» (I should have known instinctively that everything was A-​ok and not bothered the poor staff. They have important personal calls to make on their cell phones).

After years of consideration, I decided that I did not want to have children. I was scheduled to have a tubal ligation last year, but (fortunately) plans fell through. A new sterilization procedure called Essure was available. Dr. Kreitmann was the closest doctor to my residence who is Essure-​certified. I went in for an informative consultation session and scheduled the procedure at the end of April. Kathy, my case manager, had good «phone-​side» manners while working with my insurance company. I was prescribed on various medications that were required to take weeks or days before and after the procedure. I received an information packet which proved useful in describing the Essure procedure in greater detail.
The procedure itself only took an hour. While it wasn’t exactly pain-​free (I haven’t had children), I managed to be back on my feet a day after. It was very interesting to watch «live footage» from the camera on a LCD screen. (It reminded me of Disney World’s Body Wars ride too much.) Since that day, I have been very happy about my decision.
As for Dr. Kreitmann, he is very knowledgeable and professional. He returns phone calls promptly and calls to check on his patients. His wife, a physician as well, was equally pleasant. It is evident that they value and care for their patients. I strongly recommend Dr. Kreitmann not only for the Essure procedure, but other gynecological services as well.
