Good prices. Good selection, although they’re often out of stock on popular items. In a ghetto shopping center, but there’s parking. Seriously though, drive slow. There are crazies in there. Staff is friendly, line moves super quick to check out(unless it’s the day before Christmas). Honestly, this is one of MoCo’s better liquor stores.

I meannnnn what can you say about a liquor store. They have a lot of variety. The store clerks are pretty nice… Like I said not much you can say. They have weekly sales which is nice. I guess they could have more mixers. There isn’t many mixers or other juicers/juices to mix with different types of alcohols. I’m clearly going to be going back!

Comrades! Long live Committee on Liquor Control for glory of people’s revolutionary republic of Montgomery County! …seriously, Maryland’s attitude towards liquor is lame, lame, lame. That you can’t get a bottle of scotch where you get your groceries is annoying, but that you have to buy it at a special store, away from good beer and other things you might want for a party, is pretty obnoxious. BUT! That said, this location is actually pretty great. They have a very good selection at spot-on prices. They have a good balance of budget and interesting spirits, including higher end things if you’re into that. They do not seem to have really interesting bitters or aromatics, but for base liquors their selection is quite solid. They also move the line very quickly, even when it is very busy(like before the Super Bowl). I have seen a few things out of stock, but usually have been able to find whatever I need. The wine selection is not bad, though the beer stock is rudimentary at best and not cold. The parking lot is big but can get chaotic, so watch out, but the location at the intersection of Colesville and New Hampshire is handy, as is the grocery store nearby. Best we can do until perestroika.

They have everything I’ve ever needed. I’ve never had an issue with anyone ever. Friendly service, and a huge variety of wine to boot. :) Beaujolais nouveau ftw. in white oak. who would’ve thunk it?

Did you know you can return booze? I bought a 50ml bottle of Cointreau for a dessert recipe. At least I think that was the booze the recipe called for. I totally blanked out when I walked in the door. The gal at the counter said I could return it as long as it is not opened. Heck, it’s just a little more than a shot so if I was wrong I’ll have no problem«disposing» of my $ 3.25 investment. I also think this branch had a larger selection of local micro brews. They carry Clay Pipe Brewery beers — Back Fin Pale Ale and Hop-Ocalypse IPA. Prices are good too.
