Mirrors Barber Salon

Went in at 7:35 on a Wednesday night. Two barbers on duty, one customer in a chair. Came in and one minute later was told that it was too late for them to give me a beard trim. 25 minutes before you close, and you can’t trim someone’s beard? Never going back again.

I bought a haircut/​straight razor shave (which I’d never experienced) on Groupon. The owner is very nice but gave a lousy haircut. Then he omitted the shave (which was the reason I was there) until I asked for it. The shave was simply incompetent – not close at all. I went home and used my electric shaver, which did a far superior job. Very disappointing.

If I had to find one fault with the place that keeps it from being a 5-​star review it would be that Mirrors is busy! I waited almost two hours until I got a hair cut, but can I tell you this? That wait was worth it! There are very few places to get a really good haircut I find so, I completely understand why Chris has his hands full with waiting customers. Each time I’ve been there, I’ve got a hair and beard trim and shape up. They do a great job with especially with the beard trim/​shape up. They do take reservations so I’d advise, call in advance and you’re probably have a better chance during the week rather than on the weekend!

I went here today and had the owner Chris cut my hair and give me my first straight razor shave. Chris was great, very personable and professional.
I’m pretty sure I was one of their few white clients that day (or ever) and have a different style of haircut than they usually cut. Chris didnt blink an eye and encouraged feedback during the cut. I had him go back a few times and do more trimming (better than the alternative).
Perhaps my favorite part is that he really takes his time. This may have been a little frustrating for his other customers waiting but they will eventually enjoy it themselves. He took his time with my shave too, which was very nice.
The haircut overall was good. Not the best I’ve ever had but may be good enough to get me to change places. Overall I really liked the laid back mood. Felt like a chapter from old school barber shops where men sit back and chat it up.
Chris mentioned that he used to have beers there but one employee ended that perk. Too bad haha.

My cut is always right. Go see Rashawn or Chris the first two chairs in the shop they always take their time and do a good job.

All I’ll say is that I could have done a better job in my bathroom with clippers and a mirror. PASS!!!
