We are A Calmness Within, Silver Spring’s center for holistic massage therapy. Our practitioners work with you to integrate mind, body and spirit through the art and science of massage therapy. We customize sessions by gathering information from a thorough health intake form, applying assessment tools, and the practice of hands-​on soft-​tissue manipulation.

A Calmness Within offers Swedish, deep tissue, sports, oncology, couples, chair, Thai on the table, and prenatal massages; myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, cranial sacral therapy, active isolated stretching, and Reiki. These modalities can help restore your body’s natural harmony through deep relaxation, pain management and stress reduction. Whatever your individual path to healing, we are dedicated to helping you achieve wellness, balance and harmony.

History

Established in 2006.

A Calmness Within Massage Therapy began from a vision of self-​healing rooted in love, acceptance, growth and action. Including Cheryl Alderdice, Owner/​Director, we have six massage therapists who contribute their unique perspectives and skill-​sets to our practice and a vast, diverse client family with whom we are honored to work.
