I came here just to pick up a package from the Amazon lockers located inside of this 7-eleven. Amazon should do a better job at identifying that their lockers are inside of this 7-eleven. It took me a while to figure out that the lockers were inside. Anyway, it was easy and swift to grab the package. It was nice to be able to grab myself a hot chocolate on my way out. The staff was friendly.

The workers there have very condescending attitudes to say the least I try my best to avoid going to this one in particular. I purchased an item and I asked for $ 1.00 in quarters to pay the meter. The workers response was«give me just a second I have to open the register». ??? What!!! Didn’t you just open the register to give me change in the first place ??? If I didn’t need it bad I would’ve left. I waited til the lady took 3 more customers THEN she decided to waste her precious time on me. Overall, the people who work there are not polite at all.

This 7 – 11 has big gas station and the store itself is big as well. Gas price is usually lower than the ones around the area. Cashiers are friendly but not efficient. Knowing they 10 people in line, they take their own sweet time ringing out each one of them during rush hour.

I wish I could give zero stars. We went in for gas before taking a road trip and the pump we tried to use wasn’t working. Ok, so tried another. Also not working. We went into the store to ask what was the problem. They said«oh yeah, we are out of gas.» REALLY? And you never thought to put up a sign? We went back today to put air in our tires. Put our quarters in the machine and tried filling them. The hose was leaking more air than was making it in the tire. And the gauge wasn’t working to show the pressure in the tire. We gave up. Needless to say, we are not coming back.

We come here for mainly for the gas, since it is cheaper then most others in Downtown Silver Spring. My only complaint is that there are usually people loitering in the lot near the shop and I have multiple times been approached by panhandlers.

I used to really love coming here for gas because it is a) easy access off Georgia Ave, and b) cheaper by $ 0.10 then than gas station in downtown Silver Spring. My only gripe was that you never get a receipt(no matter which pump) and you have to go into the store to request one. Usually you have to wait in line too. I like paying at the pump specifically so I don’t have to go in to see the cashier. Well, today I received an email from a neighborhood list serve specifically mentioning a disturbing incident at this location. Here is an excerpt: ” Mary W.(about 87 years old) drove to the pump at 7 – 11 to purchase gas. She went in the store, paid for gasoline, slipped on a wet substance behind her. The person on site helped her up, she went to the pump, it would not provide the gas, she went back to the clerk to complain that the pump wouldn’t put the gas in the car, The clerk told her she would have to pay again because they have a «7 minute limit» on time between purchase and pumping gas. She paid again in order to get the gas and move her car and because she was in such pain went to Holy Cross where she was examined and admitted with a fractured hip.“ In response to that another reader wrote about discovering the pumps were either empty or not working. The same thing happened to the man at the next pump. They both went inside and they did not want to give them a receipt that verified that they did not pump any gas and they insisted there was gas in the pump. The man was more persistent about the incident and threatened with calling the police. They finally printed receipts. I may have to stick to purchasing my gas when in the upper part of Silver Spring(near Cherry Hill and Colesville) if I really want to save at the pump.

I thought I’d seen it all, but obviously I hadn’t. This one I’d done seen in dreams. Okay, more like photos on the Internet, but still. I heard the stories of 7-Elevens with gas stations but I thought it was too good to be true. Like drive-thru Starbucks, I assumed these were relegated to sprawling lands in the Midwest where the deer and the antelope play(until they get sucked into a huge tornado). But alas, the promised land has been found! Right on Georgia Avenue you will find what I think is the only 7-Eleven with a gas station in DC. It’s everything you could think of and more. All the great trinkets of a 7-Eleven(chips, soda, coffee, slurpees, crappy food and cigarettes) plus the golden elixir(gasoline). Gas prices here are par for the course, and there are a ton of pumps for you to give your cash to Big Oil. Really awesome.
