Natalie is the absolute best! I can’t say enough good things about her. She help my husband and I find our first home a couple months ago and I have no idea how we would have done it without her. She enthusiastically navigated us though the trials and tribulations of home buying in LA and happily answered all our questions and concerns along the way.
I feel like Natalie really listened to us throughout the process and had our best interests in mind the whole way. Natalie Stern Trabin, Realtor extraordinaire, is a miracle worker! I’ve bought and sold a few places over the years but I’ve never had a Realtor like Natalie. She listened, strategized, problem-​solved and negotiated like a consummate professional. She made me feel like I was her only client, even though she had a million other things going on (not the least of which being a new boy on the way). Here are some highlights:
Natalie handled the sale of my old house, which was a huge challenge as I tried to sell it last year and failed. This time around, I needed a new Realtor and thankfully my friend referred me to Natalie. She was brilliant with her recommendations on everything from landscaping to staging and beyond. Once my house hit the market last month, there was a feeding frenzy and I went under contract with a buyer for $ 70k over asking on the very first day on the market! What a difference! I couldn’t have done it without her!
Natalie also helped me find and buy the house of my dreams. After many weeks of going over listings with her, we ventured out into a weekend of open houses. I had my eye on one place in particular and, after I saw a bunch of contenders, nothing else stacked up. I had to have it! Unfortunately, I was late to the game and the sellers already had three offers and the day Natalie and I saw the house the sellers were counteroffering back to the potential buyers. Natalie and I scrambled to put an offer together and I threw my hat into the ring. The next day we heard back that the sellers were going to go with a different buyer but Natalie and I weren’t going to take «no» for an answer. I don’t know how she did it, but Natalie moved heaven and earth, and probably called in favors from a few minor deities, to negotiate our way past the other buyer and snap up the house at almost-​literally the very last second. There probably isn’t another Realtor on the planet who could have done what she did, and I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet for having her at my side to pull me over the finish line. Yet again, as before, I couldn’t have done it without her!
I really wish I had more friends out there looking for houses, so I could have the chance to refer them to Natalie. People always like to say this or that thing is «the best!», but nothing compares to Natalie, my tireless miracle Realtor. It’s not hyperbole — she really is that good. I can’t imagine what good things I must have done in a prior life to save up enough good karma to have somehow stumbled upon her.

Anyone embarking on buying or selling real estate in Los Angeles knows (or soon will) that the transaction experience here is more intense than most cities in the United States. I found Natalie through Unilocal two months ago when my husband and I decided to start looking into purchasing our first home. I did some google searches for the areas we were interested in (Silverlake, Echo Park and Eagle Rock) and came upon all of her fantastic reviews. I am now beyond ecstatic to add to her fan base because she is the real deal and was unbelievably amazing and hands on throughout a particularly crazy escrow period.
We called her in late November and set up a meeting at a local coffee shop. Natalie was so warm and knowledgeable about the real estate industry, how we should get started and some neighborhoods we should drive around that might make a good fit. Natalie took the time to get to know us and did all the leg work, so that we had a solid list of homes to visit each week.
Here are some of the things that set Natalie apart from other realtors (and why you should call her immediately if you are in the market to buy or sell): (1) She comes from a family with thirty years of real estate experience (which means she comes with a tried-​and-​true set of contacts (because it really does take a village to seal the right deal)); (2) she has a law degree, and, thus, the savviness to get through the hundreds of documents and boilerplate language; (3) she is responsive and accessible but allows the process to be on your terms and timeline (I always felt like she wanted what was best for us and that she was a neutral but informed sounding board for each up and down we encountered); and (4) She is genuine and likable and that translates into getting the upper hand in an extremely competitive market where a lot comes down to the structure of an offer and who you have fighting in your corner.
As exciting as it was to get the keys to our new home, it was a bit of a downer to not get to hang with Natalie every week!

We happened to meet Natalie by chance at a random Open House, and thoigh we weren’t looking for an agent, she seemed incredibly kind and competent. Not long after, when we needed to make a quick offer on an incredible house, we decided to reach out to her. Natalie was so helpful in guiding us through the process that even though we didn’t get the house, we felt relieved to have her on our side going forward. Now its six months later and we’ve just closed escrow on an amazing house that she found for us. We sincerely couldn’t be happier, and anyone who needs an agent should feel beyond confident going with Natalie.

WOW!!! Natalie helped us buy our first home and she was absolutely amazing! The moment we met her we knew she would be the realtor for us. It feels a little strange to be writing a review of a realtor on this site. My primary employment of Unilocal has always been to find the latest night donuts or the most legit sichuan etc and, by inclusion, this review seems to fall into the strata of similarly contrite addenda to a life.
This couldn’t be farther from the truth.
There is simply nothing that is more important and informative to your daily life than your home. Forget any other purchase you’ve ever made or researched, this is the one.
Similarly, penetrating the glut of information and language surrounding a purchase such as this is as terrifying as is it dizzying. Ergo, it’s crucial to find advocates that can simultaneously understand the marketplace, the business, and you as a human. To this end, there aren’t a sufficient amount of superlatives to describe our family’s experience working with Natalie.
The home we purchased is a singular property. My lady and I both run businesses from home and so needed a very specific and peculiar set of needs fulfilled. And, apparently, so did the other 7 sets of folks who made offers in the 6 days it was on the market.
Natalie’s experience and skillset was such that, even in this insanely crowded marketplace and offering on a once in a lifetime property, she was able to fulfill our waking dreams of the past several years.
From the first words we shared on the phone to the final sets of documents going through docusign, we felt like we were 100% taken care of in a way that made this whole process a joy.
Our experience is in no way a deviation either, her individualized care, her experience and knowledge of LA, and frankly, her warm and wonderful personality resonates from all the reviews of her you’ll find in this forum.

We cannot speak highly enough about Natalie as an agent. We never really knew why one uses RE agents. Now we know. We had used Redfin for a little bit and rapidly realized that we needed much more guidance through the arcane processes of pre-​finance, successful bidding, negotiations in the middle of escrow, closing and post-​closing issues. There is no way we would have been as successful on our own or with Redfin both in terms of what we found and how much we paid. Along the way at open houses we met a bunch of other agents, but Natalie stands out as very honestly empathetic, very organized, very communicative and very, very well connected to a host of high-​integrity professionals and resources we would have not found nearly so well on our own.
We are thrilled with our house and I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that we would not have gotten here without Natalie.

Update!
Since purchasing our first home, we’ve referred a dozen people to Natalie. She’s been just as good to them as she was to us. There is absolutely no person better for your home purchase, or sale, than her.
But this update is not about our referrals, it is about our personal experience selling the home we praised Natalie so much for in the original post. Of course we chose her to be our selling agent!
Much like buying a house for the first time, there were so many questions and new experiences to be had with selling. Selling is even more complicated then buying, but she made the process a breeze. She spent time explaining not just the big picture questions, but all the nuances as well. She made sure that we had all the information we needed to make informed decisions each step of the way.
When it came time to list the house, her team came in and made the house look so great in the photos that we almost didn’t want to move! Once listed, she got it on the ACME website and we had offers the day of the first showing. It was fun, but difficult, to choose the right people to accept an offer from and Natalie was really encouraging and helpful with that process as well.
It’s hard to rave about Natalie enough, but a final note about the purchase of our second home; Los Angeles is a tough market. There is so much competition for every property. Having an agent who knows how to write a strong offer is a must. But the ones who truly shine have the charisma to charm the sellers and the tenacity to win the offer. Without the right agent, you’ll surely be passed on. Natalie is the right agent!
We feel so comfortable with Natalie that we now consider her friend first, agent second.

Seriously, I don’t think my wife and I could have ended up in the hands of a more genuine, assertive, and generally perfect all-​around realtor for the area. She helped us get our dream house and we are 100% convinced that we ended up in it because of her steady advice and guidance, which was clearly not motivated by her bottom line but rather her truly looking out for what was best for us and what house would the best fit. Natalie is AMAZING. Shopping for a home is difficult enough; finding a trust-​worthy agent who is looking out for your best interest shouldn’t be. She is a FIERCE negotiator working for you. She is NOT an agent pushing a sale to make a commission and move on.
I really appreciated her effort to really understand my wants particularly paying close attention to my style. She was extremely patient with me in our 6 month search. I had her out on the field every weekend during that period. We eventually landed the perfect nest but not without a challenge. The seller went with a sentimental first buyer but had us as their back up. Natalie followed up frequently with the selling agent lobbying until eventually we were fortunate enough to get the property.

Natalie is the BEST! I cannot recommend her enough. She found us our dream home (the first place we looked at) and we were ready to put our bid in. The only problem– we still had to list AND sell our current home. Natalie was on top of it. She put in our bid, which was contingent on the sale of our current home, and encouraged us to write a personal letter. Meanwhile, she helped us every step of the way to ensure our current home was in perfect selling condition. She had beautiful photos taken, and had a very professional website made for our listing, all within a few days. Although I was nervous about being able to sell our home (it had an unusual layout and was quite small) we received multiple offers the first weekend it was on the market. She made everything as easy as possible, and our offer was accepted. And did I mention that, during all of this, we had a one month old baby? She was extremely sensitive to our new family life yet worked incredibly hard to get our current home sold and find us best possible house out there. We are now in our dream home and couldn’t be happier. When we tell our friends about our experience with Natalie they can’t believe how easy it was! In this competitive market, Natalie is definitely the best agent out there.

I don’t think we could ever properly thank Natalie for what she did for us. She truly went above and beyond. Natalie really took the time to figure out what we were looking for. My husband and I work a lot so we really didn’t have time to look for our dream home. We ended up in an intense multi-​party counter-​offer situation, and we got the house based solely on Natalie’s advice.
She is also a blast to spend your weekends and random Tuesday showings and inspections with. Multiple listing agents have told us what a pleasure she is to work with. I am convinced that she is the reason that we got our house. She gets the job done in an assertive and polite manner without being overly aggressive or obnoxious (unlike many of the realtors you meet at open houses).

My wife and I, both first-​time time buyers, first met Natalie Stern Trabin at one of her Open Houses. I think she spotted that «we have no idea what where to start» look that all real estate rookies have, because she proceeded to kindly offer us advice about the process, but did so without seeming pushy in any way. She offered to register us on one of the real estate search services that the professionals use, and she did this without us ever promising to use her as our real estate agent. But her eagerness to help us out so early on in our search, along with her caring approach to handling us scared newbies, made it clear that she was the perfect realtor for us.
It wasn’t long at all until Natalie used her keen eye to find us a house that fit the bill — pricing, location, features — it was all there. She took us to the Open House and walked us through the place, calmly balanced our concerns with our excitement, and went ahead and coordinated with the representing agent to get the necessary info to move forward. Her people skills even helped us obtain details on bids from sellers (not an easy thing) so we had a better idea of when to jump in and how much to offer.
Also, she’s sharp. She’s a former attorney, and brings her legal acumen to the table and knows how to both explain and get you through the mess of paperwork on schedule. She’s got an eye for detail and scrutinizes every home thoroughly, every crack, and every rickety plank. And she’s also got the feist to fight for you, whether it be to ensure you get repairs and/​or credits from the seller or just get you through the hell of working with a seller’s less than ideal escrow company.
And very importantly, she will NOT try to make a quick sale at the expense of your interests. Natalie got to know us as a couple, our tastes, what was important to us, and what we could afford. We had almost settled on a home that we were okay with and instead of allowing that to happen she voiced her concerns and assured us we would find a home that we would absolutely love. And she did just that. We were incredibly worried we were walking away from the best thing out there in the market within our price range, but a few weeks later, after scouring every corner of the areas we were interested in, she came up with our match– a lovely home in an amazing part of Altadena.
Last, it’s true, she comes with a stellar team. The inspector she recommended was great. And believe me, you need a well above average hardworking broker who will make you feel like you’re the only client they have, and that Natalie has as well. All the people we worked with through Natalie were on time, professional and extremely responsive.
Enough said, right?
