History

Established in 1984.

Our business was established in 1984 near downtown Sikeston and occupies the building that was once the Missouri Utilities Company Ice Plant. The original building was built in 1923 and an addition was completed in 1988 to house new offices, a showroom, and additional warehouse space.

Our business was accredited by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA) in 2003 and adheres to the IDEA Code of Dealer Ethics. We have several technicians certified in residential and commercial sectional doors.

David Z.

Business Owner

David is not only active in the door business but also is involved in the management of his family’s commercial real estate. In addition, he has served on several committees in Sikeston city government and his church. David has also served on the board of directors and is president of the Central States Door Dealer Association, a regional trade industry group covering the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Missouri. For the past three years, Garage Door Co. of Sikeston has been a sponsor of the KFVS webcast of the very popular Sikeston Cotton Carnival Parade and for the past two years co-​hosted the broadcast with Sikeston native and KFVS broadcaster Mike Shain.
