I have been coming here for a long time now, and I refuse to go anywhere else!!! Kristian is great at what she does. Gives a great cut, and her prices are more than fair. My wife, and I love Kristian/Studio K!

Kristian knows hair! Best cut, best color, best styling! My boyfriend & I have been going to her for years. She even does my Mom’s hair, kicking it old school with curlers! She can do everything! The salon has recently expanded by knocking down a wall & taking over the space next door. Newly decorated, it’s an airy & relaxed atmosphere yet professional & very clean. If you’re looking for a change of stylist give Studio K a call. The salon is next door to a 7 – 11 so don’t pass it by, as it’s easy to miss. Park in the lot & shop is on the 2nd floor.

I’ve been going to Kristian for over 10 years. She is the most patient stylist ever. She’s been through the ringer with me, «Kristian, I need a new haircut, I need this man out of my hair» — type of rants. She’s always made time for me, told me when my ideas were good, and when they were bad. I trust her with my hair, she’s great at fixing screw ups, like when I cut my own bangs or when I dyed my hair black and kept damaging it. She gives the best haircuts and her salon has a good, chill vibe. Non-fussy and a reasonable price.

Love cameo! He is an expert at cut and color(used to be a Redken consultant and train other stylists!). Highly recommend him and have sent friends to him too!

I love the way I feel every time I leave Studio K!!! Kristian is absolutely gifted as a hair designer. She understands which color and cut will enhance an individual’s beauty and makes you feel like a million bucks after your time there. The place is clean and I love her stylish décor. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel at home. They serve the best coffee in town, I swear! Great hair styling and awesome coffee!

Studio K is a hidden salon gem of Signal Hill, its located on Pacific Coast Hwy and Temple. You can easily pass it by if you’re not paying close attention to the sign. The nearest landmark is 7 – 11, if you’re a visual person that’s when you know you’re close. Don’t blink because soon enough will see the small parking lot for the plaza. There’s limited space in the parking lot. This salon is tucked away in the corner of the building on the 2nd floor. It’s a cozy salon. There’s 4 soft chairs in their waiting area and 3 salon stations where the magic happens and the focus is all on you. I love this salon because of the vibe you feel when you walk through their door. The music is bumpin’ eclectic type of music that almost makes you feel that you’re in some cool lounge hanging out with your best buds. In my opinion its like KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic type of music. Once you put on that smock, it’s go time. Their shampoo basins are very comfortable, I can just ease myself into them and not strain my neck as my hair is washed. The salon chairs are pretty comfy. Would like coffee, tea or water? They provide you with that if you’d like. Heck, you might even be able to have beer or wine. I opted for coffee this time. They also offer some bar snacks to munch on. Kristian the owner has a vibrant personality. She’s also very attentive on making sure everyone is comfortable. I can be pretty shy at times and this place manages to break me out of my shell. Everyone is introduced to each other. It’s such a laid back atmosphere. Like I said, it’s the vibe yo! I’ve been to this salon on several important occasions such as my wedding hair trial and the day I donated my hair to Locks of Love. My best friend is a stylist and has given his stamp of approval for me to get my hair cut here and occasionally he makes a trip to this salon to cut my hair if I can’t make it to Beverly Hills to see him. Style. Makeup. Beauty. Education. is their motto, and I get that because even though you’re engaged in your own little area by the end of your time there, you’ve picked up a lot of tips and tricks. The connection between the people coming through here is pretty evident because this salon is based on word of mouth(8 years and still growing). Credit cards accepted. Don’t forget to tip and make an appointment. They don’t list their hours of operation, it’s by appointment only. Studio K is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Can’t wait to go back, it’s like catching up with an old friend.
