Luu’s Dry Cleaners & Alterations

Someone Recommended me to come here and Yes it’s was worth it! The Lady is Super Nice and the Service is Superb! I told the lady that I needed the jerseys by tomorrow and she made it happen all nice and clean! I was amazed by the dedication she took to satisfy her customers! Definitely will recommend this Cleaners!

After a long search of a seamstress and drycleaners, we stumbled upon this little gem in Signal Hill.
For the quality of work that is done, I don’t mind paying the prices that she requests. Boyfriend and I always come to her to get our clothing hemmed, even taken in if needed. She does an excellent job and pays attention to detail. I’ve gotten my sleeves shortened and they don’t even look like they’ve been altered! All the buckles and buttons to my coats and jackets are there, but now at the correct spot for someone as short as I am.
She’ll let us know if it’s something she can or cannot do, I like that honesty. If she cannot do something, she’ll suggest an alternative. If you want something specific, she’ll take notes and pin it so you can see what you are requesting.
We usually send a lot in for dry cleaning or pressing, and the turn around time for the amount we drop off is great. I’ve sent in silk scarves and my rolled edges weren’t flattened! There are few dry cleaners who don’t know you shouldn’t flatten rolled edges on silk scarves!
She’s even de-​pilled my wool items, so they look fresh and like new when I pick them up. Love this place!

This place is a rip off! I took three items into be altered last week. The Thai lady who presumably owns the shop told me it would be $ 75 and could I pay now? I thought that was a little weird, but I went back to my car and retrieved my wallet. When I tried to pay with my debit card, she informed me that she only takes cash. I happened to have the cash so I went ahead and paid her. Today I returned to pick up the altered items and she told me that I owed her $ 75. When I told her I had already paid last weekend she started to argue with me! So I pulled out my wallet again and gave her another $ 75! I am so pissed! Shame on me for not getting a receipt! And the alterations aren’t good either. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Rip off!

I got my slacks hemmed here the other day and LuLu did a really good job. She made sure they were pinned at the exact length I wanted before she hemmed them. She definitely pays attention to detail.

My husband & I have lived over here for about 25 years. Tina the owner is great. We think their prices are great, and Tina can sew anything. Trust me I cannot sew. Without going to Luu’s dry cleaning I would not have as many clothes as I do have. it is a very nice family owned business, and I would recommend this cleaners to anyone.

I am giving one star because there is no option for zero stars. There is no way that a very plain, $ 10 skirt should cost me $ 22 to take in 1 inch at the waist? To the seamstress who tried to dupe me into believing that she would «have to do soooo much work on the skirt», please pass the bullshit on to someone else. If you’re willing to throw your money away then go ahead and do business there. Ridiculous!!!

Super sweet thai lady, just expect to be taken care of. She’s the best i went to get my backpack stitched 15min all done. What else can I day I’m coming to her whenever I need anything patched or stitched or altered in clothing

My wife and I have been coming to Luu’s for years for tailoring and alterations. She’s very friends, does the job quickly, and her alterations and sewing are flawless. If you live in the Cal Heights area, I recommend her for sure.

Have driven by this small dry cleaners for years. And, ironically, I have been unhappy with my current dry cleaner for even longer. I have come to the conclusion that dry cleaners are like banks, a pain in the butt to change and therefore people often don’t.
Decided to give Luu’s a try with the tailoring of a few new suits, risky I know. But, that is how I roll. She did a nice job, was extremely friendly and had my garments ready on time.
I am going to give her a try on the cleaning side next…

I recommend anyone that need alteration and dry cleaning you should go here. She does an excellent work and for the best and cheap price. She is very friendly and know what she is doing. I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years and I recommended anyone that live nearby should come here! Thanks Tina for your excellent services!!!
