Established in 2005.

Derek Baroumes has been practicing law in Arizona since 2000. He had the honor of clerking for two fine judges at the trial court level in Maricopa County, Arizona: Hon. Roger W. Kaufman (ret.) and Hon. Cathy M. Holt. While clerking, Derek learned how to litigate from the «bench’s» perspective. In short, he spent a grueling two years understanding just what judges look for and want to see in pleadings and court filings. While Derek always believes court is the last option, it is nevertheless an option for parties who just refuse to work things out responsibly.

Derek and his wife recently relocated to Sierra Vista to be closer to family. Although the legal system and attorneys in general can have a negative impression on folks, Derek hopes that you will give him an opportunity to make a positive impact.

Derek Baroumes has over 14 years’ experience as a business, estates, & trust lawyer. As an attorney, his experience ranges from working with an international Fortune 500 Company (preparing for a multimillion dollar deal) to helping a local fledgling business (preparing to open its doors for the first time). Being a trusted attorney and advisor for clients’ every day legal issues is an honor to Derek. His objective at the Baroumes Law Group is to find unique and cost creative ways to help businesses embrace their legal needs, not fear them.

Derek worked closely with Family Life Radio as a guest attorney to help educate its listening audience on the fundamentals of wills, trusts, and probate. He encourages people to visit with a wills and trust attorney to find out what they need to protect their family, should the unavoidable or unexpected occur. Derek enjoys bringing families the peace of mind that only an estate plan can offer.
