The Remington Suite Hotel & Spa

I’m visiting from out of state. I have to say I’m extremely impressed with the quaint exquisite feel, immediately walking through the doors.
I decided to have a Martini in the lounge. Wow! How impressed I was with the bartender, Brittini. She was not only beautifully sweet, she makes excellent martinisand very personable! What a joy to have met such a sweet southern soul. My only drawback would be… The lounge chairs at the bar are terribly short!

Great hotel, but then you get to your room and there’s a hole in the wall and multiple condom wrappers sitting behind your bed… What the actual FK I don’t mind staying in an older building with wifi and some character but holes and condoms are things I pass on. At least it’s not condoms with holes in them. I hope…

Hotel has great character. A nice break from national chains. Very friendly staff. All rooms are unique. Valet parking if you wish. Good breakfast. Will stay here again. Very fair price, good value.

Remington Suites is a best kept secret! Great rooms and staff. Evening bar is cozy. Rooftop area with seating is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. Indoor pool and nice workout room. My only suggestion is to offer a continental breakfast option and move breakfast back to first floor as it was in 2014. The made to order breakfast is nice but most folks don’t have too much time to wait for preparation. Will still stay here regardless.

Stepping over buckets of water dripping from ceiling on way to our room wasn’t a very good first impression. Also, there is not an on — site restaurant. At $ 140/​night, we will not be back.

My wife and I stopped in Shreveport on the way to Arkansas and wanted a cool place to stay for one night. The Remington Suite was absolutely perfect !! This hotel is a combination of a Fours Seasons and an upscale B & B. The service was perfect — the ambiance of the lobby and the bar was awesome. The room was perfect — we stayed in Suite 1 which was a two story suite. Even though we didn’t stay long, this hotel was perfect for our needs.
I highly recommend staying at the Remington. Tell them I said hello !!!

This hotel was quaint and very cute. Has a really nice rooftop area and the staff is very nice!

Wonderful hotel downtown Shreveport. Very attentive staff, one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in, made-​to-​order breakfast in a cute, boutique lobby, and pet friendly! What a find!

First of all, if you want to stay at a conventional full service hotel that treats you like an ordinary customer then don’t stay here. If you want to be treated like you are friend/​family, sleep in a huge beautiful room with comfortable beds, and can accept a little uncoventionality, then don’t pass the Remington up. The hospitality is like none other. They don’t offer a full breakfast and some rooms could use a little maintenance, but it is well worth the stay. I will never see hotels in the same light. Thank you Newton, Indira, and the rest of the staff for an utterly amazing stay!

From the pics of this place, I thought it was very impressive. However, once there — I’ve downgraded my first impression. I got one of the grand suites which is normally around $ 375 per night. While I got a slight discount (still paid over $ 300 a night), I had no idea this was not a full service hotel. This ‘grand suite’ had several problems — broken furniture, malfunctioning equipment — not to mention we had to get them to actually clean it once we entered the room. The same person who does the maintenance and the very overpriced ‘valet’ service, also did the room cleaning (which was mediocre at best). Their website site mentions breakfast buffet is ‘included’. The wording is misleading thinking you will get free breakfast with the money spend on this place. Next time, I will check out a hotel more thoroughly before purchasing.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and we will definitely stay here every time we come to Shreveport. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They have a basic bar which was fine with me. I know some complain about the cost of valet parking but it is unlimited in and out which is nice.
The room was fantastic and very comfortable and they have very nice robes in the rooms. The facilities are very nice and we will definitely take advantage of them at our next stay.

Very neat place to stay. Was told it was an old pharmaceutical building. Got a 10% off deal on Kayak and stayed in a premier suite. For the price I have not stayed in anything close to the comfort and luxury you find here. And the bed was unbelievable. Finally someone invests in quality beds! Will definitely stay again! Side note: prepared to spend $ 20 on valet parking

First, the good.
They say this is the best hotel in town. Seriously?
I will give it to the staff. The people all had the southern hospitality going and they were very pleasant during checking in through the duration of my stay.
However, my room was just awful. I don’t know about anybody else, but I was given room seven on the second floor. First off, there are no windows in this room. It’s gloomy it’s dark, And it just did not feel right. When there are no windows or natural light it’s just depressing. So my suggestion is if you’re checking in, and they give you room seven, change it immediately!
There are also no bars or no restaurants, including room service at this hotel. There is a bar next-​door and they only serve frozen pizza. So be prepared!
They do valet park your car for you, but it kind of surprised me that it was $ 20 a day which I think is pretty pricey.
I will be fair to say that another person that I met staying at this hotel was given the penthouse suite. She said it was absolutely amazing! But that obviously didn’t make me feel any better.
The rooms are large, there is a microwave, and a refrigerator. Other than that, everything else is pretty standard.
If you’re looking for something full-​service, then you will definitely be disappointed.

cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. the service is outstanding every time (tonight is our fifth stay), a very above-​and-​beyond approach. price is very reasonable for what you get — great pool, decent exercise room, luxury rooms — and I’ve just always felt so completely taken care of but never smothered. Shreveport is not exactly a destination, but if it’s on your route, I HIGHLY recommend working it in. you will be so very glad you did.

Driving through Shreveport and needed a pooch friendly hotel. Very happy we found the Remington! Pet or no pet, this place is top notch. Everyone and everything is fantastic, from the valet to the breakfast to the rooms. We’re coming back and staying longer next time. Any money I spend in Shreveport is because this hotel brought us back.

This place is AWESOME and GORGEOUS. Seriously, you could probably have a more relaxing time in their lobby than in many hotels. Each room is unique — we were in «Homer» and it’s pretty much the size of my condo.
Staff was extremely friendly. My wife had an excellent massage — if you’re here you should book one as chances to get massaged by a man named Otho are few and far between, so you shouldn’t waste the opportunity.
The downtown location is quite nice, too. A very short walk to Sam’s Town and El Dorado, and the various shuttle services will take you here. Cab ride from here to Horseshoe was about $ 7.
You can definitely stay cheaper, but I can’t imagine a nicer place to stay.

I had a wonderful experience with the Remington and I’m so happy I stayed with them, and not at the Hilton. I experienced severe flight delays due to weather and missed my first night that I had booked with them and they did not charge me — in fact, they said that they would ‘…never dream of charging me for something beyond my control.’ Can you imagine a big chain hotel ever saying that?
The have a lovely, complimentary breakfast bar in the lobby with bistro tables and the staff is kind, welcoming and eager to help — directions, dinner recommendations, shopping locations (a few towns away)…I asked for help with all of these things and they were great.
They are conveniently located, appropriately priced and the rooms are large and comfortable and very clean.
If I’m ever back in Shreveport, I would never stay anywhere else. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our Shreveport stay in this boutique hotel. The setting was cozy, rustic, and uncrowded, which was a nice change from the normal more crowded breakfast times at other hotels. The complimentary breakfast was higher quality continental. Parking was very convenient on the street right outside the door, with just an occasional meter feeding when we were there between 8am — 5pm. Nancy and her staff were very accommodating and friendly. As others have mentioned the king size bed and pillows were particularly comfortable. The only real drawback here is the lack of natural lighting in many of the rooms, just from the building setup. Also look for the unusual and tiny dimmer switch next to the wall switch for the ceiling floodlights which you really need in the room (we were in the Whistler). Otherwise, we had a very nice stay here.

Superb service! I typically hate to come to Shreveport, but let me tell u, after my service here I WILL be coming more often. Extremely pet friendly and at only
$ 30 pet fee per pet with all pet accommodations included (beds, treats, toys, kennels) it is by far well worth it! Just the most lovely hotel staff ever and rooms are so comfy and clean. I’m a little bit of a hotel snob… But with what I’ve experienced in my short stay, it certainly is a fantastic boutique hotel competitor (not just for Shreveport !)

The Remington is By Far one of the loveliest classy boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The manager, Nancy Sweeney, was very friendly & accommodating! Could Not have asked for BETTER Service! All the staff @ The Remington were so helpful!
After meeting 4 couples for a High School Reunion, of sorts, we went back to the Remington & sat in the beautiful lobby to continue reminiscing about the good olé days… we then walked over to the Stray Cat… a bar next door, to top off the evening with a few cocktails & say our goodbyes. Such a Fun Evening!
The Rooms at the Remington are all named after famous Artists. We stayed in the beautifully decorated VanGogh room. The Deluxe Suite had a separate living area with full size refrigerator, bar, sofa, two wing back chairs, desk & flat screen tv. the bedroom was decorated in dark navy & white. The King Size bed is the MOST comfortable bed I’ve EVER slept in! The bathroom has heated floors with a Jacuzzi Tub & separate stand-​up shower. Perfect! The room was quiet… cozy…beautiful & so comfortable. The Remington is the hotel of choice, to many movie stars… lots of movies are shot in & around Shreveport… Rumor Has It that, Angelina Jolie had just recently stayed @ The Remington for several weeks, while shooting a film. The thing is, You aren’t treated Any Differently than the stars.
We had a wonderful breakfast @ the Remington before leaving Sunday morning. The sausage & egg soufflé was out of this world! We look forward to our next stay @ The Remington Suite Hotel & will highly recommend it to our friends & family.
