State Fair of Louisiana

All the rides are amazing! Entrance fee and parking fee on Thursdays are superb! Only $ 1 each. Food is awesome!
I don’t recommend Turkey Leg ($ 10), because it was super dry, overcooked and no flavor. Philly steak ($ 9) wasn’t worth the price either.
Highly recommend Jumbo pizzas & calzones, Corn dogs & jumbo corn dogs, Krazy frys with cheese, bacon and ranch, Funnel cakes, Ice cream, Candy Apple and fried snicker. (Believe me they’re all goooood because I had them all! Only the fried snicker that I couldn’t find it at the fair but lots of people said it was good).
Tip for the ladies: Wear leggings or yoga pants not jeans to accommodate your expanding tummy! Make-​up is okay but, lipstick is not neccessary as soon it will be faded away with the food. lol
Tip for the guys: Please have at least $ 100 in your wallet for your date! This price is only for her food pleasure, not including rides. lol

The food is fantastic!!! All kinds of variety of good, drink & dessert for sale!!! I’m to scared to ride any rides, but my kiddo had a great time! It’s a crowded place that’s my only draw back.

Really enjoyed the state fair, if you plan just to go for food make sure to have at least $ 50 to spend, food is a tad expensive but well worth it. I would give the fair 5 stars, but some of the food was cold, I also would have appreciated if the seasoning was better on the burgers. It’s Louisiana, we enjoy spices and good seasoning but nothing some salt & pepper couldn’t fix. Fried pickles, Oreos, the funnel cakes, and delicious corn dogs. The turkey neck looked so good but that’s something I couldn’t do it this time. I found that the amount for alcohol & beer are on the expensive side, $ 10-​$ 15 for daiquiri & piña colada and it’s only ONE refill, sorry but that’s a rip off.
The rides look like fun! The daredevil rides had longer lines so I advise you to get there a little early before 4pm. The wrist band is well worth it. The fair has a free zoo that was really fun, you could tell the animals were tired of people feeding them carrots so they just walked away.
I’m sure we will return again for the Louisiana State Fair. The weather was so beautiful and make sure to dress comfortably you’re tummy could be poking like ours.

food food food food food… so much delicious food to try!
Go for the food, if nothing else.
Oh and wear sweatpants because your jeans will not fit afterwards…
