Millicent Crossing Apartments

One of the nicer apartment complexes in Shreveport, located near LSU-​S and the Super Wal-​Mart and cinemas on Bert Kouns.
One-​room apartment rents are reasonable and come with washer/​dryer hookups. The apartment management will have your washer and dryer installed (in a small closet off the kitchen) for you. Be wary of any gouges they put in the linoleum however, as you don’t want to be charged for their incompetence. I also spent several hours «bailing» the water out of my kitchen when the washer’s water effluent connection popped (again, they installed it).
Courtesy cops live in the apartment complex and occasionally patrol, which actually gives some peace of mind. A little historical trivia: FBI surveillance was on two murderers who once lived in this apartment complex (they killed a car dealer from the Bert Kouns car dealerships after stealing a test-​drive vehicle).
The best part about this complex (when I lived here years ago) was the back fence that had a gate in it that residents walk through to get to the liquor store on Youree. Convenient!
