We offer free gift wrapping for any occasion. Our birthday gift registry using our exclusive birthday box offers children the opportunity to choose the presents they would like to receive and then friends can choose from that selection. We offer many exclusive items and toys that cannot be found anywhere else in our area.

History

Established in 2012.

Learning Express Toys of Shreveport was opened by Brandy & Robert Stroud in October 2012. The original store in Boston was opened in 1987 by Sharon DiMinico. She has successfully grown the business to over 140 franchise locations across the US.

This place has some awesome employees and I love the store’s content and layout. They have a nice sprinkling of every category, from educational to just plain entertaining to crazy and wacky.
The reason I am only giving this place 3 stars is for their grossly inflated prices. I guess it is a status place for some people. I found a lot of items I wanted to get my kids but every time I would check the price on Amazon and I would find the same exact item at least 1⁄3 cheaper on Amazon… and that is with it being delivered to my house. I might periodically stop in to see if there are any new selections that I am not yet aware of but I’ll be purchasing from elsewhere.

A pretty cool place, but also pretty expensive. I admire this place and what they are trying to do here. It reminds me of Toy Fair (read my review here on Unilocal) of which I also greatly admire. They have plenty of neat toys here, some real brainiac stuff and other just fun toys. It’s a nice, local business. They offer various classes for children to participate. This store is located in the Southfield Shopping Center alongside Sunshine Health Foods and HoneyBaked Ham.
