Hmm, I am almost certain people may be confusing this LV location which is actually INSIDE Neiman Marcus with the LV stand alone store that’s within Short Hills Mall itself. That’s the only way I can explain these bad reviews. I’ve shopped at both locations and the experiences differ like night and day — I now only exclusively go to the NM LV which has always been a pleasant experience. The sales associates here are all very friendly, helpful, attentive, yet not at all pushy. Try going into the mall location and I guarantee you — they are the complete opposite — regardless if the store is packed or dead, whether you’re dressed in workout gear or to the nines, you will feel invisible (at best!). Or at worst, they treat you like a nuisance. In fact, the last time I made a purchase there, they actually seemed ANNOYED even though I came in knowing exactly what I wanted (Vernis Brea) and was ready to purchase without any questions. Anyhow, not at all the case with the NM LV. I’ve purchased/​returned/​ordered-​yet-​decided-​in-​the-​end-​not-​to-​purchase, without any issues or the slightest bit of attitude or sense of inconvenience on their part. Every sales associate I’ve dealt with has been very nice and willing to go out of their way — although when Jess is there, I always look for her (I think she may actually be the manager). But even when she is not, I know I am in good hands. And when there is something I want but they don’t have available in the store (IE: shoes), they order it for me. If i decide I don’t want it when it comes in, no pressure at all, I leave it behind without any sass. Anyhow, unless you enjoy feeling invisible or being treated like an unwelcome nuisance, I would avoid the main LV and recommend taking your business to the Neiman Marcus LV — you won’t be able to see up anyone’s nostrils here…

Came in here late to purchase a wallet. Store was crowded & there were only two sales associates. They were moving fast but still spending adequate time with customers to assist with purchases. Tara was amazing!!! I have purchased west chester, short hills & paramus however this is my go to location from now on! She provided the best customer service. The other associate seemed great as well.

It seems like the negative reviews are about the LV store, not this location inside Neiman Marcus. (If you see «this store is big,» it’s definitely not this location. This is a small area within the Neiman Marcus. I’ve been in three times now and every time, the staff has been helpful and friendly.
My Neverfull MM’s handles were peeling, which I’ve read is a common issue with the bags. I’ve also read horror stories of LV boutiques charging people $ 200 or more to repair what is clearly a defect. Still. I wanted to repair the bag because it was getting unusable. I brought it in and a sales specialist, Dario, examined it and took photos. He assured me the repair should be free, but they needed to locate my receipt before going ahead (I purchased the bag in London 2 years ago and didn’t have a receipt anymore.) They contacted the store in London and a manager called me back a few days later to let me know that they could fix the bag for free and that I could drop it off. When I brought it in, the service was really prompt and professional. The bag came back after 3 weeks (ahead of schedule), and again, when I picked it up, everyone was polite and professional. They even offered to box my bag like it was a new purchase!
In the times I’ve been in, any interaction I witnessed was beyond professional, even when dealing with the difficult types that Short Hills and LV would attract. I’ve noticed they will also call the larger store in the mall if they don’t have an item or if they think that store can do a repair on the spot that they can’t handle because of the nature of their location. I would definitely recommend that you come here first and avoid the larger store in the mall.

Don’t go to the separate LV store in the mall as they provide terrible service. Only go to the LV store in the mall if the Neiman Marcus location doesn’t carry the specific item you’re looking for.

The store is nice and big. Very clean as what you would expect from a prestige luxury brand. But as with most of these high end stores the downfall to all of them is their customer service. If you don’t walk in dressed a certain way or not a stereotypical tourist that looks to have money, you don’t exist. You can stare them right in the face and still they look right through you or just walk away.
The only reason I patiently stayed was that my mom has been looking for this particular (older model) bag for some time now. We have looked at several places and when we happened to be in Italy, they too did not have this model but supposedly Short Hills LV did.
Anyways, to finally get someone’s attention I had to raise my voice because standing and/​or sitting at the glass counter staring at each sales person didn’t help.
Riverside LV in Hackensack had extremely friendly sales people but they just didn’t have the model bag we were looking for. It was actually this location that found out for us that the Short Hills one had the model left.
The end result, the Short Hills LV mislabeled their inventory and was the wrong color. The whole experience was just horrible!

Karla is the best and my new favorite SA. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. I had a bad experience at the other LV store in Short Hills so I went to the Neiman Marcus one. If you’re looking for an LV in Short Hills, definitely go to this one and ask for Karla!

They don’t deserve any stars at all. They are the rudest bitches I have ever come across. I will NEVER shop here again!!! DISGUSTING!!!

I love to look at their things. Years ago I wanted one of the bright yellow backpacks. So much I could taste it. But could not afford it. They used to let me come visit it here.
Now they have the recent up to date offerings, as well as the classics here. If you like LV and want to be sure to get a real one, this is the place. Ebay has a lot of fakes. The used ones on Ebay are great, but if you are willing to pay almost retail why not just pay retail, then you get the receipt and guarantee etc.
I still don’t buy LV, now that I can afford it. I find the bags too heavy to carry. That’s what happens when you carry heavy computers for too long, your shoulders cant take anymore. But I love this store and love their products.

Store is nice and big HOWEVER their service is horribly lacking. I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt a few times hoping each time it would be a better experience then the last but am always left disappointed. The sales associates are not very helpful and will do the minimum in bringing items out and not friendly or helpful at all. One time I was even chastised when I was on the fence about a bag wondering if I should purchase it or not with an out of the blue comment by some older female sales associate with a stern accent «If you think you can wear it then change your mind and want to return it don’t even bother» It was so out of the blue and rude. The last time I’ll ever go there was a few days ago after purchasing some small leather goods and they were just dumped into the bag with the dust-​bags like some rags without asking if I wanted them wrapped or in boxes the very least.
Do yourself a favor and go to the LV in Neimen Marcus… Service is GREAT and they’re so eager to help and will make great suggestions. I even sometimes take the drive to the Riverside Square Mall up north because their service is spectacular as well.

The store is nice and that is the reason I give it a star. I got in the store to buy a gift for a friend. The sales lady was pretty laid back and not very helpful at helping me. It is Friday afternoon and there were only two customers. I asked about exchange policy and was told «30 days. Otherwise, you got to keep it». Since the birthday is 25 days away, I left the store empty and disappointed. I think the store needs younger and more energetic sales person.

This is a great location. My bf and I stopped in here a few months ago so I could price an LV Speedy bag. I made it clear that I was just looking, but my salesperson was still very polite, friendly, and helpful. He even made a joke about himself one day being able to afford a keychain out of this store. LOL.
I ended up buying my bag yesterday at a store in PA, but I wanted to review this location because customer service isn’t high on Louis Vuitton’s priority list, from what I gather from reviews from other Unilocalers.

This store is very nice now. It’s large and fun to look around since I can’t afford anything there. There is a large amount of merchandise displayed, but a lot is not actually available. I wanted to see a bag with my mom, but they did not have it in stock. The store does get quite busy with tourists wanting to experience this mall and all of its stores, but I’m not complaining. It’s still clean and well organized. It is a little hard to find a sales associate to help on a busy day, but it’s not like I’m buying. Oh well, a boy can dream!

One star too many!
I have been to this store twice, and every time it gets worse. The staff is rude and they act as if their doing you a favor, by doing their job. The last time I went in there I waited over an hour for someone to at least acknowledge me, waiting patently with a bag in my hand.
I ended up just walking out and not buying it, and of course no one stopped me. I also encountered the same attitude in the Macy’s Herald Square location, but found that the Back Bay Boston store to be very accommodating. It seems to be hit or miss with them and overall, this brand is nice, but very expensive and I’m not going to support their brand if they consistently treat me and their other customers like that. At this point I’m not sure if I’ll continue to shop there, as I cringe thinking about how I’ve been treated in the past by them.
This Spring I plan to get a Gucci bag instead. Their service is always excellent, as any high end label should provide.

This is a store my wife loves and I must say it’s growing on me just picked up a wallet for myself and was surprised because my wife has been dying for me to get one for many years, and yes I caved in and got one. I ended with a nice wallet and of course the wife already had a LV bag on hold. So yeah we both left happy! Love the stores at the Mall at Short Hills!!!

This is a very nice store. Personally, I do not understand why their items are so much money, but my wife wanted a bag, with a matching wallet so we picked it up. $ 2500 later… Still not getting it??? I guess it’s the pride in having a «Louis Vuitton»? LOL

New location in the mall, and it’s very spacious. I came here with my friend and we just gawked at the beautiful and expensive handbags, shoes, accessories.
It’s a must see if you’re a huge LV fan.

My husband, brother and I visited this store when we were shopping for my mother’s birthday present. I had a handbag in mind and intended to buy it.
The service we received was appalling. When my brother tried to pick up a bag from a shelf, a sales lady ran over and yelled at him to get behind the counter. When I asked to look at the particular bag, she asked «Is this for your wish list?» in a most condescending way.
My husband, brother and I are all Princeton graduates and my husband is a surgeon. We are in our late 20s/​early 30s and Asian. I’m not sure what prompted this hostile service but needless to say, we left the store immediately and purchased the handbag at another location. I will never go back again.
