This place is amazing. Not only is it a local business that you should support but it’s worth the visit. At face value it’s a pet store. It sells curated food, toys, and other pet supplies. The staff is exceptional and will always engage in friendly conversation or advice. They bring their pets to work with them and that’s totally awesome as it shows they actually do care about pets. The owner is a great person and really fun to talk to. They have sold me some of my pets favorite pet toys and food.

This local business pet supply store is great. They’ve helped recommend cat food for our adult adopted cats, 6 and 13 years old. The quality of food has improved their coats, and selection of cat toys, perches, and beds have lasted for the last year since their purchase. Their small animal supplies are hard to find at other stores, top notch for our 8 year old rabbit. My husband and I also pick up dog toys/​treats here when visiting friends and family. We’ve consistently been asked by friends where we get our pet toys, and this location makes it easy to get everything in one stop. The owners and staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Even better when we sometimes get free samples of food for our forever home cats.
One of the reasons I will choose to come back here over and over is how clean and organized the store presents itself. I’ve gotten Timothy Hay for our rabbit from other surplus stores and there were some little bugs in the bag on more than one occasion. That has never happened since shopping here. They have a great rotation of toys and treat flavors, it’s hard not to pick something new up every time we stop by. The fact you can have your receipt sent via e-​mail instead of printed is a plus. I wish more businesses took this much pride in their work; stop by and you’ll see that it shows.

I ended up here after a mission to find doggie booties for my dachshund right after it got cold and they were flying off the shelves. I called here and they told me what they had left in different sizes and held a size for me behind the counter. I had just left the larger Pet Supplies Plus where they were not very helpful or friendly! This is a very cute place with great service and I would much rather shop someplace local and small!

This store is Amazing! The owner is super friendly and the inventory is all top of the line. As a dog owner, I was very pleased to find a place where I can not only purchase high quality food/​treats, but also receive valuable input on various forms of doggy nutrition. In addition, I am very pleased that this store sells frozen raw bones, which my dog loves!

Everything you love about a locally owned business. Small-​medium size store, but these guys are very selective so YOU don’t have to be. Came in on a weekend and they were celebrating one of their pug’s birthdays with «doggie bags» of treats!!! Great people, great dogs, and awesome selections.

It’s not like you’re going to drive across the city to find this place, but it would be worth it if you did!
Pet Outpost is a friendly, locally-​owned small business that has lots to offer. They carry Fresh Is Best pet foods (Milwaukee’s own!) and even eminently affordable Nature’s Menu brand (another Wisco line of no-​filler goodness for your pooch or kitty).
