I have been using Bayada pediatrics for about 9 months now. They are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable, but are lousy at covering their weekend shifts. I have 14 weekend shifts per calendar. It took them 6 months before they completely covered one week. We have been with them for 9 months now, and my last calendar had 6 open shifts on the weekend, and my current calendar has 11 open shifts on the weekend. This doesn’t include the open shifts when nurses call in sick, which unfortunately has been a lot for us. It doesn’t matter how good the nurses are, if they are not going to be there. The nurses we have, we love, so it is hard to decide what to do from here. If we switch agencies now, we will lose the nurses we have.
