Faith and learning are combined as faculty integrates a Christian perspective into all subjects. Curriculum at the preschool, elementary and secondary level is carefully coordinated to help students move smoothly from one grade to the next. Specialists in Art, PE, Music and Media/​Library work closely with classroom teachers. With a full complement of sports, drama, and music, opportunities are here for each and every child.

History

Established in 1952.

The school opened with 15 students in September of 1952. Our first graduating class in 1958 had four students, and the first yearbook was published that same year. In 1966 we started our first Kindergarten class and two years later in 1968, our new high school building was dedicated. In 1978, our new gym was opened and in 1989, the brand new elementary building was completed. Watson Groen Christian School was renamed Shoreline Christian School in 1997 to identify more closely with the area we are located in.

Since those early days, the guiding principle has been that our world belongs to God, and that everything that we do, teach and learn should be in responsive obedience to Him. It is within this framework that we educate for the Heart, Mind and Soul.
