This is one of the best family owned businesses that I have come across! Actually heard about Mike and his sons from a flyer in the mail. After getting a very reasonable bid to cut down a few very large tress (they were threatening my roof) they scheduled a reasonable time to come out. They were extremely professional and efficient. I was amazed at how high they could climb and how accurate they were in lowering down heavy branches from a high height. They hauled all of the branches and wood away. Absolutely no damage to my property. I would recommend them to any of my family and friends without hesitation.

Mike was on time for his estimate meeting and scheduled tree trimming. Doug and helper trimmed and cleaned five Hemlock trees to my satisfaction and cleaned up the site beyond my expectations. I have had two previous experiences with tree companies and Seattle Tree by far performed the best.

Mike and his crew removed some very large limbs off a deadora cypress that were hanging over our yard. Mike was very responsive to my initial request, came out promptly, and was able to schedule us in a short period of time.
Everyone was super professional; they did a great job, and they cleaned up all tree matter before they left.
We love to support small, local businesses, and we highly recommend Mike and Seattle Tree Service. It is no wonder they have been around since 1942!

We have been fortunate enough to have Mike and his crew do some work for us twice: once a large pine tree in our yard, and the second time, limbing up some large pines at our lake place. They were fast, efficient, fair, and willing to do whatever i wanted. I would recommend them without hesitation!

Do not hire these guys! I agree with a couple of other comments that the estimator was not honest and forthright with his bid. Once they got on site and began cutting down an 85 ft tree in my yard, I was told it would be another $ 500 to have the trunk pieces removed from my residence. I had to agree to this as they were just going to leave it lay. Instead, they called another vendor to split the wood in front of my house to take it away. I asked the other vendor how much they were getting paid by Seattle Tree Service to haul away the wood and he said «nothing»!!! In essence, Seattle Tree Service collected $ 500 from me to make a phone call to have someone else haul away the tree trunk. They also wanted an additional $ 1100 to grind the stump, which I refused to do. I then had to beg the tree cutter to cut the stump down to a satisfactory level.
The kicker was when they completely smashed my irrigation system. They repaired a small part of it and told me it was functional. When I turned my sprinkler system on a few weeks later, it had several more broken pipes, I called them and no answer or response. I had the system repaired, which cost me another $ 250 and I called «Mike» who didn’t respond. I then texted him and he did text back one time stating he would call me, which he didn’t. This went on for about 2 weeks until I texted and told him I wanted reimbursement or I would take him to small claims court. He then called back when I was away from my phone and he threatened to charge me for «repairing» my sprinkler system if I took him to court. He also added that he would tell the judge that I had told him to drop the wood where the sprinklers were located. These guys are not trustworthy and I am sure that I will have to pursue a small claims suit to recover my money from the damages they caused.
If you need tree work done, look for someone that is reputable as these guys are definitely NOT!!!

Professional, fast, and friendly service. From start to finish, Seattle Tree Service was easy to work with and performed quality work.
We needed a tall sickly pine and a spruce removed from our yard, and requested quotes from 4 different tree service companies, including a few that had better and more reviews on Unilocal than STS. A couple of them didn’t respond and the ones who did end up quoting the job had astronomical prices.
Seattle Tree Service’s bid was quite reasonable and they were easy to work with during the pre-​sale process, so we booked them. On the day of the removal, Mike and his crew very quickly got set up, removed the trees, cleaned up, and left us the firewood. The whole thing was done in under a couple hours.

Wonderful service! I have an enormous leyland cypress hedge that requires yearly maintenance. Seattle Tree Service responded to my request for an estimate the next day. After receiving a very fair estimate for the work, they were able to schedule the pruning within days. The work was very professional. They started the process to reshape pruning from another less skilled company. Cleanup was great. That boom truck is something else!

Seattle Tree Service did a fantastic job on our yard. We had one tree that was clearly dying, they took us through options for saving the tree and unfortunately we had to choose removal. They came in and removed the tree the next day as well as sailed two additional trees. When I came home that evening everything was so well cleaned up that it looked like they hadn’t been there that day.
I would definitely recommend them in the future.

I love getting great customer service. This is one business that did not provide that at all. Last fall we had a tree fall on our property. Andy was prompt in getting back to me and had people out the following day to remove the tree. However, the guys left a huge jagged tree stump and loads of rotted tree trunk wood scattered all over the backyard. I called Andy and left a message asking him to 1) remove the trunk as he said he would; and 2) to take away the debris.
He called back and left a message. I called him back the following day and said he could come whenever. They removed the trunk and the stump, and still left debris all over the backyard. This was beginning of December.
I gave up calling. Now Spring is here and I have to dump all this debris myself. As nice and polite as Andy was, I am very disappointed that they did not follow up after several phone calls. Bad customer service! I would not use them again. They were recommended by my insurance adjuster. Next time I’ll come to Unilocal to see what others recommend.

These guys were great! I have a huge black locust tree, overhanging and leaning on my garage. They came while I was at work and removed several very large limbs. When I got home, they were already gone, the work was done just as ordered, and the yard was spotless. All smaller baranches were gone, and the large limbs (up to 14″ diameter) had been cut into short lengths for firewood. The price was reasonable, and all the guys I talked to were pleasant and knowledgeable. I will hire this company again at the drop of a hat!

I hired Seattle Tree Service even after reading the one negative review on Unilocal.I just got a good vibe from them and decided to test my luck. I’m glad I did because they did a good job. Had them prune my giant doug fir and remove a lot of broken limbs and dead wood. The tree looks great, the guys were friendly and efficient, and they let me keep the wood chips. I would suggest anytime you have someone do work on/​around your home you check the work to make sure you are satisfied before the vendor leaves.

I hired Seattle Tree Service to remove some dead limbs that overhang my home. They did, in fact, remove some dead limbs from the tree but not the limbs overhanging the roof. It was nearly dark when they finished so I paid them on the assumption that they had completed the work we had agreed upon.
The next day I noticed that the overhanging limbs had not been removed. So I called and spoke with Andy, the sales rep, and he said they would remove them later that week. That was 7 weeks ago.
Since then, I’ve spoken repeatedly with the owner, Mike, and with Andy, and they have repeatedly promised to cut the limbs. In fairness, they did come by once when I wasn’t here but they didn’t go up into the tree to remove the limbs — they weren’t sure where to go, since there are several trees nearby.
Last week I left a message asking for a refund, since it was obvious that they had no intention of performing the work for which I paid them. They haven’t responded to my call. Nor have they issued a refund.
I recommend finding another tree service. That’s what I’m going to do.
