Description

Specialties

Robert Lang Studios is a world class recording studio located in the breathtaking Richmond Beach area of Seattle, Washington. If you want an amazing studio with a fantastic staff, great gear and a warm and inviting vibe, you’ve come to the right place. We work with every genre of music imaginable. We take great pride in putting together the best combination of engineers, producers and musicians to compliment your project. We are known for our killer drum sounds, sweet sounding piano and an amazing arsenal of gear.

We also have a unique student recording program that offers hands on training in a real studio. The training is geared to the specific needs of each student, often one on one instruction. At the end of your training you are awarded with your own studio time to record your band, or a project of your own choice. Whether you want to book recording time, or apply to the student program, we’d love to hear from you!

History

Established in 1974.

Robert Lang Studios has been serving Seattle area, national and international musicians for 38 years. We are proud to say that we have been in the same location, with the original owners for the entire time. What started out as a tiny cement garage studio, has evolved into the world class recording studio it is today. We have been fortunate to have worked with a diverse list of clients from 1974 until now. We have recorded hundreds of local, national and international artists. A few of our past clients include Nirvana, Peter Frampton, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, and most of our favorite Seattle area bands. The very last Nirvana studio recording, «You Know You’re Right» was recorded at the studio.

Business Owner

Robert grew up with a love of music, electronics, art and adventure. He played in bands growing up, and his love of music eventually led him into founding Robert Lang Studios in 1974. He built the studio from the ground up, inspired by his travels to Mexico, with concrete, bricks, and stone.
