History
Established in 2004.
Actually established in 1999, our owner Steve, began restoring photographs at his work-place at Microsoft even before he began PixSaver! As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Steve developed photo editing apps to help with his tintype photo specialty. PixSavers is very popular in Seattle, and now nationwide, as more customers come from every State. Almost 55% of our business is from other States consistently. We have appealed mostly to those who need photo restoration but also those who need photography and graphic design. Archiving photo collections, our largest ever, was just less than 9,000 photos and slides from a estate whose family was clearing it out. We can archive photos on real gold, archival discs which have an lifetime guarantee. They come with the case and we include them with each restore and archival too.
Meet the Business Owner
Steve L.
Business Owner
The owner left Microsoft to begin PixSavers! in 1999 as he was already restoring photographs at work. His background is mostly business but began at a major newspaper and had photography first hand. After being promoted in management 3 times at the newspaper, he moved on to his own business. Being a general contractor fore 12 years, heading up a marketing company for 7 years, he was right at home as a VP in an advertising firm before coming to PixSavers! Beginning PixSavers he wanted to re-establish a much lower pricing for the local photo restorers, as all of their pricing was high. With persistence he lowered pricing although a few went upward again. He remains the lowest priced photo restorer, specializing in tintype photos 1836 – 1917 and convention photos up to today’s photos. His Website is like a classroom as restorers learn from his company. He’s been first with everything from tintypes to most everything. If you have a photo repair, image change or anything, call PixSavers!
