I love this place and was so happy to able to go there again after a long hiatus. The owners are so welcoming and kind and remembered me and my daughter from the past. We ordered the vegetarian phở and I got the BIG one and consumed every bit of it. I want to return and branch out a bit and perhaps order the crab soup and the shrimp dishes. When I was sick in the past, my daughter brought me some of the phở which was the perfect remedy. Now that I have recovered and am able to drive again, I will return.

Fantastic! Quick, polite service; great food prepared quickly; and I really love the complimentary Lotus tea & Lychee water. I’ll return.

2.5 stars. We ordered the bun bo hue and banh canh cua. Unfortunately, it was not really our style when it came to taste. Just seemed like they use same broth base for both soups, and probably the bun rieu since my husband’s bun bo hue had pork ribs in it instead of pork hock, which would be more authentic. I didn’t even have any pork in my dish, which it should. Only some pork sausage meat and crab. Though the crab was real, and not the immigration kind, it didn’t taste fresh fresh. The soups were also on the sweeter side, which we didn’t like. The highlight was the freshly made Chinese donut to dunk in the banh canh. The service was good. When they initially brought out the wrong dish for me and I had mentioned what I’d ordered, that gladly and quickly corrected the mistake. Perhaps I should have taken that dish instead… It looked and smelled good, but I was really craving the banh canh. The establishment was not as dirty as some reviews made it seem… Well no more than the typical Asian home-in-the-wall places in ID. I like to support family owned places, but sadly will not be coming back, especially since it is really far from where we are.

This might be the best place to eat in Seattle.(If u count Shoreline as Seattle). The food is so cheap for how frankly delicious it is. It’s the perfect preface to a night of cruising down the Aurora strip. It gives u strength to fight through the heckling homeless mob outside the medical meriuana shop. It gives u the constitution to resist the 24-hour breakfast the casinos offer when you’re rolling spanish blackjack. It gives you the prowess to spot the most bountiful night-walker, tucked under a malfunctioning motel sign falsely advertising that they offer HBO. They also have lychee water.

This place is awesome. They have a phở with both veggie and chicken– which isn’t very common. Their complimentary lychee water and tea is delicious.(I think it’s chai tea?) I’ve only had one of their bun dishes and the phở, I’ll have to branch out a bit since they seam to have a lot of great items on the menu. The price is reasonable for vietnamese and we’ll definitely be going back.

Management here is fantastic. I mistakenly ordered the wrong thing and I went to correct it and offered to pay for both even though I couldn’t eat the pork soup. The manager came over and said they would not charge me for the first one which was SO kind seeing as I couldn’t eat it. I really appreciate the family atmosphere and the kind service. I was already having a bad day and coming here made it much better. I’m very appreciative. And I’m sure when my correct order comes out it will be delicious. Snow crab soup with egg and donuts. I will post pictures when it comes. I am very very impressed with their service.

A small joint that sells delicious phở! Free lychee water with real lychees in them. They are refreshing and free. The owners were pleasant and kind. I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area craving for phở.

I’ve passed by this place a million times but it being such a tiny place has not enticed me to come in and check it out before until today. There is a saying«Do not judge a book by it’s cover» proved some point to me today. It just so happened I had to return a video I borrowed in Shoreline, I drove by this place again AND made a u-turn and decided to finally do this. Get in there and eat! I happened to be hungry. So, the timing was right! «LYCHEEWATER»? Original… so refreshing that it just lifted me up. It put a big smile on my face. ITISSOGOOD! So, it’s water with a couple of lychee fruits which added sweetness to it. I had to take a picture of it. This was the highlight of my first half of my day. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. Seriously! Wut? They gave a small pot of tea as well??? That’s extra points! I didn’t have to order my «Thai Tea» that i love so much. Soup was perfect to taste and no need for extra sauces of preference(could actually make broth salty if added) Otherwise, it’s perfect flavor. This place is not fancy but yet to par as far as cleanliness goes. I didn’t get sick-matter of fact, It made me happy to have experienced this little Phở place. They have a large menu and i don’t think I’d be disappointed to try other. So they say, «Good things come in small packages». This is one good example.

LYCHEEWATER. This place serves up delicious authentic Vietnamese food with no frills and is the cure to your hangover, rainy weather syndrome, noodle soup craving, and more! We ordered the bun rieu and a banh xeo. Fair prices at around $ 10 a dish and you get a lot. The bun rieu was great! Flavorful and filled with all the tomatoe-y, shrimp cakey, and crabby goodness! The broth was nice and light. The banh xeo was huge and came with a whopping plate of veggies. It was good, but a little too sweet for my taste, I could tell they put a lot of coconut milk in it. My friends ordered the crab noodle soup that comes with chinese donuts and they ate it all right up! I’ll be back for more! LYCHEEWATER.

Came here after a night of drinking and it really hit the spot. The complimentary lychee water did wonders on my hangover leading me to believe that the fountain of youth was in their kitchen. T’was a cold morning so decided to opt for the crab soup. The broth was thicker than my quads after leg day and was very flavorful. Big chicks of actual(yes, it’s the real McCoy. None of that imitation shit) crab meat floated around like Stacey’s mom in a pool. The meal came with two pieces of Chinese donuts, perfect for sopping up dat good good broth, brah. Most def looking forward to going back. Tl;dr Lychee water: bomb Crab meat soup(I’m totes ignorant so I don’t know the actual name):

We come here all the time. Definitely the best Vietnamese food I’ve had on the north end. They give you a unique hot tea, as well as iced water with lychee in it which is soooo refreshing. The guy who is always taking orders remembers what I always get, so I like that too.

If the mentally ill homeless man wasn’t disrupting people’s meal I would have given more stars. This phở 99 is a hole in the wall location with good phở. When it comes to phở, I would never expect anymore more than decent food that’s hard to mess up. However over the years I’ve been liking the restaurants that are cleaner, more comfortable, and in better neighborhoods. So my low expectations of phở restaurant have changed, and now I expect a good all around experience. # The Food = Very Good The crab noodle soup with long doughnut is delicious. I haven’t found many other places that make this. The charbroiled pork combo meat dish with skewered shrimp is great. Fresh shrimp spring rolls are good. The standard phở is standard. The lychee water is nice if you don’t mind the canned lychee which is a little sugary. The prices are very fair. # The Service = Standard for Phở Restaurants Expect to get your food and not much more. # The Setting = Poor The chopstick were gummy or sticky too many times. That’s disgusting. There’s a weird pink dog tape that goes around the wall, maybe to cover up some cracks. On a couple occasions a homeless man, or at least has that kind of odor, came in and sat down. The odor was bad, but on the last visit he also started walking up to tables and talking. He said he cleans the windows and just got out of jail. The tables he was disrupting hurried to cash out. He was rambling on and was obviously mentally ill. It is possible he’s a nice man at heart, but his disturbance and lack of restaurant staff intervention was unacceptable. Before the hobo I’d rate Phở 993.5 stars. But now it’s 2 to 3 stars.

Really good banh Canh, it has the texture of egg noodle soup and had real crab meat inside. Also the water has lychee in it which makes it very refreshing although it is probably sweetened by the syrup. The bun Bo hue was also very authentic, it wasn’t very spicy though and the meat was too chewy but it still tastes good. The chicken salad was different from other chicken salads I’ve had but still good.

I had Togo phở and teriyaki Chicken. They both are excellent! The chicken is so juicy and tender. I don’t think they’re seared like other places. I think they deep fried it. I don’t care how it’s make, it amazing! I only wish that they would give a little more broth for the phở. That’s what I love about phở, the broth! Everything is great. Except for parking. Very limited on parking. So, get a Lyft or Über.

Oh. So. GOOD! I’ve been coming for years and the food is consistently excellent! Rich, deeply flavored phở broth… Perfectly composed bûn bowls, bursting with fresh herbs and(my favorite) lemongrass chicken… And my must recent discovery, the crispy crêpe stuffed with shrimp and pork and served alongside a mountain of greens and herbs. Cut a piece of crêpe, wrap in lettuce and herbs, dip in nuoc mam, drive into face. Repeat. I’ve made the drive from Queen Anne TWICE in the last week to enjoy this perfect plate of food. It’s tricky to get into the parking lot due to the construction, but don’t let that deter you from going!

Yum! Good, authentic phở and rolls. And free tea and delicious lychee water when you sit down! We ordered a bunch of different noodles and spring/hand rolls to share and everything was delicious. A small bowl of phở is enough for one hungry person, and it comes with all the fixings as well, although it could do with more lime(although if you ask for it, the staff are happy to oblige). The place itself isn’t the greatest atmosphere, but the friendly service and well meaning staff make up for it. We were well attended and had our water and tea rope up regularly, and food came out pretty quickly. There’s parking in the little lot out the front. Right now the restaurant is stuck behind a bunch of construction which makes it hard to access, but there is a deal where you get 10% off your meal if you pay in cash!

I am Vietnamese and I know how a good phở and spring roll should taste like. Me and my friend ordered the bun rieu, phở tai, and shrimp spring rolls which comes with peanut sauce. First of all the spring rolls weren’t even cut up, so it was gigantic. But it was decent, not something I would come back for. My phở broth was not something spectacular. hearing the good reviews I wanted to give this place a try but was really disappointed. The Thai iced tea seem like it was from a can or something, so gross. The only good thing was the lychee water. Service was okay and fast but food could be better.

this is the go to Phở place on your way to Costco on Aurora. Normally we go to Phở Tic Tac or Phở Le Tai but this one is pretty authentic like they say. The tea is flavored with cinnamon and the water with lychee. How unique to stand out from the crowd! Their phở broth is soothing and does not taste of MSG or additives. We didn’t even use the hoison or shiracha — they also have bottles of fish sauce at their table! Peanut sauce was homemade and spring rolls were large !
