Lehman Barn

I don’t even know where to begin! My entire experience with the Lehman Barn has been absolutely amazing! I’m not really sure how I originally found the barn, but it turned out to be such a wonderful venue and I truly had the wedding of my dreams. From the beginning, Gwen has been so thoughtful, generous, and kind. It is very obvious how much she cares about each individual Bride and goes above and beyond to help them create their wedding. I am forever grateful to her, because she truly understood my vision and my wedding would not have been the same without all the help she provided me.
Additionally, in the process of planning my wedding, I found out very quickly that as soon as you mention wedding, the price triples. Unfortunately, people take advantage of the fact that brides want their day to be perfect and, because of this, are willing to pay more for this beautiful day that only happens once. This is not the case at the Lehman Barn; their prices are extremely fair and reasonable. Gwen truly understands the financial strains a wedding can bring and does not believe in «nickel and diming» brides.
Lastly, she has so many resources! She has some of the most amazing rentals and the most beautiful vintage furniture. I personally wanted to plan my wedding myself, but she really provides everything if needed (rentals, décor, planning, flowers… she truly does it all!). There were even a couple times in the planning process I was worried about something and she she offered to help/​do it. Fortunately, everything worked out, but her offer gave me so much comfort and helped my stress level tremendously. Even on the day before my wedding, I just realized that I could not do everything myself. I started to get stressed and I asked her to help me last minute; she just went to work immediately. Honestly, without her help, my day could have turned out very differently. I’m sure everything would have gotten done, but her help saved my sanity and I was able to relax and enjoy the process on the day of.
I really cannot say enough about how pleased I am with how everything turned out. Everyone had a wonderful time, the location was breathtaking, and I had the wedding of my dreams within my budget!
With the Lehman Barn, you do not just get a beautiful venue; you get the help, expertise, and advice from one of the most amazing women I have ever met!

I attended a wedding this evening for my dear friends and it was splendid! Lehman Barn makes a great venue for that country-​chic theme that is so popular nowadays. This barn is situated along Latrobe road and is actually a fantastic area to shoot photography for the golden hills and openness. Once I arrived I was truly in awe and literally said, «it’s like Pinterest came to life!»
I’m not sure what the bride and groom brought for décor, but if Lehman’s supplied most of everything, they are doing it all right! It is SO freakin cute — everything from the darling china, string lighting, antique and rustic furniture, to the barn itself. Be sure to wear your cowboy boots here because it’s dusty. I wore open-​toe heels and my feet were completely dirty when I got home, as expected. The ground is also not entirely leveled and I found myself nearly tripping too often. Okay, okay — I’m a little klutzy and had a few drinks, but there’s some obvious bumps in the walkways where high-​foot traffic occurs. There was also a lack of lighting I had noticed. I enjoyed the ambiance the string lights offered, but the majority of tables that were along the back where without light which was odd. The temps reached about 93 today and once the sun set all was great. There wasn’t enough shade for everyone and several people looked distressed sitting in the direct sunlight. They did, however, bring out some umbrellas, but they clearly could not accommodate every table with them.
I pictured the barn being larger than it actually is. I figured a larger dance floor would be ideal for those «hoe-​downs» and the 190 guests tonight had to cram into the perimeter of the barn to watch the couple’ first dance. Of course, not every guest could, but they managed. It would be great if there was a second story in the barn somehow so some could walk upstairs for more view. I didn’t even want to attempt to dance because there were far too many people inside already. It’s just not inviting to me at that point. Hey, for a smaller wedding, maybe that’s just right. If you’re having that many guests, though, probably consider that.
The restrooms were clean and a short distance away from the barn. The designated parking lot was spacious enough, however the road that served as the main driveway and into the p-​lot was not my favorite. Driving out of the «parking lot», the roadway was scattered with some guests and it’s a bit too narrow for anyone trying to walk and cars to drive by. It’s also one way, so if a car is coming at you, you’re kind of screwed. I didn’t notice another entrance or exit. I also wasn’t certain if the catering company is also owned by the barn, but if so, I think they did a great job. Speaking of the food, that calls for a much longer review.
I imagine the costs to rent this venue is a pretty penny, but it’s surely picturesque and ideal for that desired country-​themed wedding. Overall, I think everything came together just great. This was my first time here and I would be confident to recommend this to anyone.

Can we say fan? I was at a wedding yesterday it was super hot, their was 6 umbrellas for 15 tables in the hot sun. The shuttle to the tree (and the only shade at the place), didn’t come back to get people until most everyone had walked back to the ugly old no fans no ac barn. and some road rock would be nice unless you like, being covered in red dirt? maybe a night wedding is better during the summer but I will highly not recommend this place. nothing about it was nice, pretty or even slightly worth the amount it costs.

I just had my wedding at Lehman barn and it went amazing! Gwen is absolutely the best very down to earth and so helpful! Everyone in her staff was helpful and attentive. It was a beautiful setting and at night looks awesome! Everyone had a great time! Thank you Gwen!

I had the pleasure of photographing a styled wedding at Lehman Barn and it was fantastic – from the barn, to their antique furniture, gorgeous grounds, old oak trees and the dressing room areas. Plus Gwen, the owner’s daughter, was fantastic to work with! She is so generous and enjoyable to be around, and she helped out with everything that needed attention before, during, and after the wedding shoot. I highly recommend this venue and working with Gwen!
