We make picking your own Christmas tree a fun day for the entire family. It’s a great way to start off your Christmas holiday season. Unlike most tree farms where you pay by the foot, all of our trees are the same price … just $ 20! Sunny Day Tree Farm offers a great selection of «natural» Noble, Nordmann and Grand Fir Christmas trees.

Sunny Day Tree Farm is available year-​round if you would like to have a special event here. Contact us to reserve the farm for your wedding, family reunion, company meeting or other special event such as an anniversary, birthday party or other ceremony.

History

Established in 2003.

All our trees are Oregon-​fresh; only $ 20 each. We offer only the freshest Christmas trees on God’s green earth. Choose from our Oregon-​grown Noble Fir, Nordmann Fir and Grand Fir Christmas trees, ranging from three to six feet tall and will fill your home with holiday joy, elegant beauty and splendor.

We believe that cutting your own Christmas tree is a wonderful family tradition and have tried to make Sunny Day Tree Farm a special place for your family to kick off the Christmas season year after year.

Our Farm is a «U-​Cut» Christmas tree farm. You cut, carry to your car and load! It’s great fun for the entire family. That’s why all of our Oregon-​natural Christmas Trees are just $ 20.

The Sunny Day Tree Farm was named after our Cat, Sunny Day Love, who was here when we arrived. We have taken great care in planting 35 acres of the farm with a mix of Noble, Nordmann and Grand Fir Christmas trees.

We went because the trees were $ 30.00 for any tree… and we were looking for nobles, of course. The nice man that helped us explained that they have ones similar to nobles but they are disease resistant and loose less needles. So we searched for the right one and had many to choose from because they were all lovely. We are very happy with the one we brought home. Even though the tree is full and has a great shape, there a little places where your ornaments hang that seem to be custom cut. All the way into the middle you can see the lights and the ornaments… so beautiful. We will come back next year for sure. We are VERY happy with our Christmas tree experience at Sunny Day Tree Farm!

Great place, SO MANY trees! Fun, windy, scenic drive. My first time cutting down my own tree, I was with my 4 year old and 18 month old. The grounds were well maintained, and there was a nice selection near the parking lot — which was a big deal on this rainy, muddy day. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because once I cut it I had to lug it back to the car and tie it on myself (reduced weekday staff, who can blame them, really?). My wee ones warmed by the fire before I strapped them in their seats with cocoa. All in all, though, it was a pretty awesome feeling to show them that Momma can do everything that Daddy can do, but with a big smile (it was harder than I thought to saw a tree, but I didn’t curse once!). There were great signed at every turn making it easy to get there, my tree smells AMAZING, and it was only $ 30!

Even in the pouring rain and cold, this was a great experience! You cut, any tree for $ 30 (cash only) and a fantastic and large selection. They have already cut trees as well for $ 35 and provide twine for securing your tree to your car. Every staff member was warm, helpful and cheery. We brought the dog and they gave him a warm greeting as well and offered a treat. Unfortunately our dog is allergic to everything under the sun, the woman went above a beyond, ran through every treat they sold (which were homemade) and insisted on opening a whole new bag just so she could give him one. After a cold trip out to cut our tree we had hot cocoa and warmed in their little barn which had a very toasty wood stove. Definitely worth the long winding road from Portland for a great tree and Christmas memory. The only downside was having to tie our own tree to the car in the cold rain.

We visited a couple tree farms today and settled on purchasing a tree at Sunny Day. It’s a little off the beaten path but worth the trip. Of the places we visited they had the best quality trees and, fortunately, one of the lowest prices ($ 30 for you cut). They supply saws and twine. After you found your tree you can bring it to the path and an ATV will come by to pick it up and bring it to your car! Cash or check, no credit cards.

We went out to Sunny Day today and had the whole place to ourselves (1pm on a Wednesday, prime time!). Checked in with a very friendly representative who leant us a nice sharp saw and gave us a map to trek the property.
They have Douglas, nobles, grands, and something called a Turkish noble that I wasn’t familiar with, $ 30 for u-​cut and $ 35 for the pre-​cuts. We trekked through the muddy acres looking at an enormous selection of beautiful, full, and very professionally shaped trees. We finally ended up choosing a beautiful ~7 foot noble fir, hauling it down a gravel path back to our car.
We tied it down ourselves with the complimentary twine and went into the tree barn for some hot cocoa and to warm up by the wood stove. They have a small selection of ornaments, as well as trimmings, wreaths, and some really cute snowman statues made with tree rounds. Service was excellent, we got to meet one of the owners and you can tell they’re really proud of their products and services. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Our family has been heading out to Sunny Day Tree Farm for the last few years. They are now our go-​to place for our Christmas tree. We keep going back because of the friendly atmosphere and wonderful service! The owner is always smiling — and you are welcomed as if you’re old friends. It’s an easy walk/​hike to get to their trees and last year they even hauled it back to the parking area for us! They have free hot cocoa and cider in their barn/​store and offer other holiday greenery and décor. Lovely place to start the holiday season!

What a fun little place! Seemingly run by a small family, this farm gives the impression of a quaint homey business with a very personal touch. The owners, and family, are right there to meet and great all. Trees are all $ 25 u-​cut, and access to the trees is an easy hike. There were many beautiful trees to choose from and some of which already precut at the barn. Free cocoa was provided inside.
The views up here are spectacular! This farm is set up high on a hill giving views of the valley below and mountains beyond. Oh, what I would give for a view like that from my home!
The areas for improvement would be:
*Start accepting credit cards. Folks, it’s 2013 (almost 2014)…taking credit cards is as easy as sending an email these days.
*offer snacks for sale if not provided otherwise. Cookies, baked goods and other yummies are a welcomed sight after traipsing through the tree farm.
*have ample wreaths and sprays available for purchase
*SIGNAGE! We almost stopped several times at other lots because of their signs… but I was hell bent on visiting Sunny Day, otherwise we would never of made it… we saw 0 signs until we got to the street right before the farm… maybe that’s just the way tree farms advertisement goes?
Otherwise, Great tree farm, great customer service! Very friendly staff/​family!!! We love our tree!!!
