Eye Impressions

Dr Shannon is back? My optometrist for years and the past many have not been the same without her. I’ll drive the extra miles to see her at this clinic. 5 stars before I go because I know that she is that good.

Both the doctor and the staff are pleasant and easy to work with.
Michelle is able to schedule my appointments easily, and is great about adjusting my glasses until they fit perfectly. Close is just not good enough. I have even dropped in when my glasses need some tightening and adjustments, and she was able to fix them right then and there.
Dr. Shannon is a great optometrist. She makes the eye exam comfortable and relaxing. She is also the first eye doctor to ever take my migraines seriously.
The process of selecting eyeglasses is good. I received many, many compliments on the last pair I got. Even people I never met before would stop and tell me how much they liked my glasses. Eye Impressions is a great place,

Michelle and Dr. Shannon are a great team! I have had the same eye doctor for as long as I remember and I recently switched to Dr. Shannon upon moving to the area and I am SO happy I did! She is great at explaining things and actually did some vision tests my previous doctor never did. The complimentary coffee with your exam didn’t hurt either :)

This is a WONDERFUL eye care office. Dr Shannon Downey takes time to listen to her patients needs, to explain all her observations, and to make sure her patients understand absolutely everything they need to understand. I have seen her for routine vision care and for minor eye injuries.
The reception is always warm, the service always prompt, eyewear reasonably priced, and the coffee always a delicious benefit. I’ve been known to just go hang out for the coffee and conversation with Shannon, Michelle, and some of the other regulars

Wait a minute, what was that last one?
Even though I’d seen Dr. Shannon at another vision center for close to ten years, I really wasn’t prepared for how cool her new office in Sherwood would be. Actually it isn’t brand new. I just waited about two years to get my eyes examined.
When I arrived for my appointment, after checking in at the desk, you walk over to the coffee bar and order a drink which is included as part of your exam. And not boring drip coffee, they use illy beans and make a seriously good latte. Really, it makes filling out those pesky insurance forms so much less irritating.
When I saw another doctor at my old practice after Dr. Shannon left, it just wasn’t the same. I finally decided to follow her and am so happy that I did. Dr. Shannon has created a beautiful environment for her patients and I felt that my exam was thorough, but there wasn’t as much upselling for additional tests as I’ve encountered elsewhere.
The boutique has a nice selection of designer frames, but not the largest one around. I’m still searching for the right frames, but I know I’ve found the right optometrist.

Love this place. So friendly & high tech at the same time. Got a great cup of coffee while I picked out some super cool new glasses. What a treat — this trip to the eye doc was all fun.
