For well over 10 years, Robbyn’s Nest has been established as an extraordinary home-​based certified learning center. During those years, Robbyn’s Nest has built a reputation of excellence with parents all over the community. Now they are thrilled and excited to provide their services for your convenience at a brand new center and location! They provide a nurturing, safe, educational, and individualized environment for the children to learn at their own developmental rate. They offer various programs, Homework Help, Educational Babysitting, Individual or Group Tutoring, and the popular «Mommy and Me», to fit into different ages of children from pre-​K through 12^th grade. Robbyn’s Nest adopts the Montessori or traditional method to help your child with the skills they need to be successful in all aspects of their lives.
Montessori teaching is a scientific way of being committed to laws of nature with children to support their true natural development. This distinctive new education first emerged from the scientific research and discoveries of Dr. Maria Montessori while observing young children in Rome, Italy in the early 1900’s.
Tutoring and homework help is available in all academic subject areas, ranging from pre-​K to adult. Hobby mentoring for children thru adults are also available in areas of art, music, theatre, and literature etc. Mommy and Me –interactive parenting involvement sessions range from 18 months to 6 years old. Mommy and Me features readiness skills, circle time — calendar plus weather, music with movement, arts and crafts, story time, plus many more educational activities. Babysitting features fun and creative educational activities and is available on vacation and snow days.
Founder and director, Robbyn German is a well rounded teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has a Bachelors and Master degree from Russell Sage College. Her certifications include Special Education; Elementary; Reading (Orton-​Gillingham) and Montessori. She has taught Pre-​K through 12^th grade including Gifted, Special Needs and Montessori. Her other talents besides tutoring include readiness, music, art and drama.
