Sunshield Glass Tinting

I am very happy with the window tinting from sunshield tinting. They use high quality window tint material. Installation is very professional. They do high volume which means that they have a lot of experience with the procedure. Hamid, the proprietor & all team members are friendly & knowledgeable.
As you can see, a large majority of Unilocal reviews for sunshield are very favorable & I agree with those reviews. However, one reviewer said that the car ramp leading into Hamid’s shop was so steep that it caused car damage. THE RAMP IS NOT STEEP, IT IS A VERY GENTLE RAMP & I do not see that it would cause any car damage. I watched my car & another car go up the ramp, which leads to a ground floor shop, and there was plenty of clearance between bottom of car & ramp. AGAIN, THE RAMP SLOPE IS VERY GENTLE & THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
I am very happy I had my windows tinted at Sunshield.
I recommend them to family, friends & community.

My third time here, got a new car and got ticket on my car so has to remove and re-​tint. Everything still awesome! My Lexus NX was charge $ 50 for color match in front and my M4 was charge $ 20 for remove and $ 50 for redone. Quality still top notch, service is the best, and get you out in timely manner. Other tint shop will make you wait for 3 hours but this one only takes you less than an hour! Still highly recommend!

I was referred to Sunshield via a friend of mine whom said that do great work. They had their cars tinted their 5 yes ago and have never had any problems with their tint. I made a same day apt to get my car tinted and they knocked it out in about 40 min! They did a wonderful job! They are on top of their game. They knew who I was when I walked in, filled out the paperwork, and waited in their comfy waiting room. It’s the small nuances that make an experience 5 star. Thanks guys!

I love love love Sunshield, and Hamid is the best. Every time I take my car over which I have to say that this point is my 7 – 8 car they take care of it and give nothing but a clean job and fast. Came in today again as my dad needed one of his fabulous towncars tinted. Previsouly we purchased this car and it had tint that was shitty, so finally we got it redone. Hamid as always knows what he’s doing and is a true professional. I wish more businesses ran in such a manner and knew their customers like he does.
Keep up the good work! I will be seeing you in the future as the wife is about to get a new whip and I like it dark so nobody can see this stud inside of it.

Hamid is a really cool guy. He does great work and they are fast. The price is fair and very competitive.
The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t clean the water streaks after they are done on the door panels.

Great place to tint done all my cars here as my friends too. I would rather to pay little more but make sure it done right on first time!

It was $ 150 to tint the back window, two front and two back seat windows on a Toyota Prius. I was confident they would do a good job. Thankfully there is a parking lot in the back (with cars nicer than ours for whatever that is worth). The staff were friendly and were done within the hour. We wanted a tint because we wanted the hatch window to be darker so that we can leave things in there without it being obvious we have stuff in the back. It also gets really hot in Los Angeles so we wanted to keep some of that solar energy out.

But–
I really feel compelled to write a review about Sunshield.
I’ve gone to Sunshield for every car I’ve owned for the last 15+ years — there’s been a lot of cars.
Recently, I have been super-​busy with a new venture and inquired about getting tinting done at my office rather than have to take the time to go somewhere.
I got a lot of great referrals. A lot of duplicate referrals.
I did not go with the ‘mobile tint company’. There was no reason for it. Just didn’t happen and tinting my new car is not a priority.
I woke up this am.
Had a meeting in the Valley and called SS to see if they could take my car. They could.
I figured I would hop in an Über and run a few errands while the car was getting worked on.
Car was done in 45 minutes cause they had some cancellations and ALL the tint technicians were working on my car.
As usual, the tint was perfect and Hamid was as nice as ever.
It might sound like a good idea to have the tint guy come to you but then you wouldn’t get to see Hamid.
It’s a no-​brainer for me.

I purchased my brand new 2015 Lexus 250 IS from Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys on 08÷06÷15. Matt, one of the sales managers at Keyes, referred me to Hamid at Sunshield to get my windows tinted. So I went to the shop the following day, on 08÷07÷15. I was not aware I had to make an appointment, as they can get pretty busy. However, I explained to Hamid that I was referred by Matt at Keyes Lexus, and he was very accommodating.
I have too much energy, so I can’t sit and wait for 1 ½ hours doing nothing. They’re a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. So that’s what I opted to do. Went for a walk and bought myself some frozen yogurt :) Or if you decide to stay at the shop and wait until your car is ready, that’s also a good choice as they have a nice little waiting area with AC and Wi-​fi.
My overall experience with Sunshield, Hamid, and the entire staff was great! Would definitely recommend them. Thanks guys!

I can’t even imagine someone can be unhappy with this place! If you have to drive 30−40min to get here don’t even think twice … Just make an appointment and do it! I am long time client over 10 years and God know how many cars ! I mean mine, my wife and kids. Should I tell most my kids friend are coming here!!!
Quality amazing, not ones I had to come back for repairs or re installation.

I have tinted 4 of my cars here. They do a great job and the owner and office lady are very nice and helpful.
You park in the rear but be careful and walk around the building and enter in the front because they have a nazi installer who will give you the stink eye and bark at you to go around.
No worries though they do good work.
