Spectrum Pool Care

I am a new pool owner in Chatsworth. I called Spectrum because their were to many issues with my start-​up company. Over the past 2-​months I have called and spoke to Amanda regarding several different issues. She has responded like a champ! Each of my complaints were handled promptly and Amanda was at the lead. Amanda recently came to my home with another Spectrum individual to understand my complaint. Amanda ran a few tests, they checked out my equipment, told me they would figure out a solution… and by golly they have. Day by day I am seeing improvement in my pool and so is my family! Thank you Spectrum Pool Care… you are all great (Edwin too!).

You can stop looking for pool leak repair, this is the best you will find. I don’t write a lot of reviews if that means anything to you, but I just had a pipe & skimmer repair job done by Tomo at Spectrum Pool Care and I was 100% completely satisfied. Repairs always hurt but this was as painless as it gets, and I feel like congratulating myself for calling this company for the work.
I had an underground pool leak which was quickly diagnosed and options explained thoroughly.
It was a tough job… out came the jackhammer, put in a new skimmer, 25 feet of new underground pipes, new concrete. I am picky and try to monitor what’s going on, and I was VERY impressed with his hard work and expertise. Tomo worked his ass off during a really hot week, but was always in good spirits and eager to explain what he was doing when I asked, and offered tips to avoid future problems with my aging pool & pipes. It is hard to find a good reliable honest person who does repairs, someone who you can tell takes pride in what they do for a living right?
I saw the good reviews for Spectrum Pool Care for my area. Those good reviews are well deserved. Hopefully I will never have to get in touch about another pool problem but I will not lose their number and will be sure to ask for Tomo for any future repair.

My pool light went out the day before my party. Chris came out to see what the problem was and returned the next day and replaced it. He was super nice and neat, and cared enough to rush the service.

Great work! Tomo did it all! He came out, diagnosed the problem, drained our pool, tore out the old pipes, replaced them, replaced the brick they were under and refilled the pool– all in 6 days! What’s best is it was about half the cost my husband and I feared it would be! Will definitely use Spectrum for all our pool repair needs!

I had a time sensitive pool problem, which i described in some detail on the phone. I was promised a call back to make appointment. Waited three days. The call never came. Following up with customers is pretty basic, no?

I researched Unilocal and decided to try calling Spectrum about a leak in our spa. The guy who answered was trying to be patient with my panicked call.
Chris came out to look at our first leak in our spa and he did such a great job in identifying the problem quickly, handling things in a cost-​effective way, and giving us advice on what to do while we waited for the part. He also gave us advice on how to save money in taking care of our spa, such as taking out the filters regularly to rinse them out, using baking soda, etc. He’s also really friendly, with a sense of humor, while doing his work quickly.
I called Chris back when another leak developed in our old spa in another location. Again, he warned me in advance what might be the source of the leak and how much it would cost. But, then as he was working found another broken part that is most likely causing the leak which would be much less costly.
In other words, they know what they are doing and will not gouge you — I highly recommend them. They incorporate the $ 60 first visit diagnosis fee into the repair if you use them.

If youre looking for the best pool service in the San Fernando Valley, Spectrum is it. Spectrum pool guys who are actually there cleaning your pool are professional. They DO the work, the leave it clean, and they are respectful. Amanda runs the business together, the billing, the customer service – and she is EXCELLENT to talk to. She is easy to get a hold of and is incredibly helpful. If you have concerns, or need something in addition to your normal monthly service Amanda is friendly and easy to work with. I can ask her to call me at a later date and time, and she will. I have been a customer for 10 years now. TEN YEARS is a long time to know anyone in LA. The owner and actually knows what he is talking about, and is highly professional — AND he goes the extra mile. If youre looking for long term service… if youre the kind of person who values quality people, and a business thats built on integrity, I would HIGHLY recommend Spectrum. I get monthly service, have replaced vents, heaters, lights… have had special requests for strange pool parties… These are my pool Gods–

Amanda their glorified receptionist/​coffee maker, is a whopping pain in the ass. She is rude, not at all friendly or helpful, and argumentative. LARRY should fire her.
I was with spectrum for 4.5 years and the first 2 years when Carlos was maintaining my pool, 2010 – 2012, were fantastic. He showed up ON TIME EVERY WEEK, he did a great job, he was friendly, he called to buzz my phone upon his expected arrival, so I could open the gate for him.
Then they ditched Carlos and sent Gary to my house. Gary never shows up solo, always has a friend tagging along. AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH the Monday appointment with a FIVE HOUR WINDOW FROM 7am-​12NOON. Was skipped/​missed.
I’d frequently receive a monotonous and not at all apologetic phone call from Amanda TWO HOURS AFTER THE SCHEDULED WINDOW CLOSED, to say, «they missed the appointment, they will reschedule».
No sh*t Sherlock. They missed the appointment? IS THIS NEWS? No. It is not. It is commonplace for this company to cry, «woe is me, we can’t keep a goddamned schedule we don’t know how to run our business». At least, from a customer standpoint, that’s what it sounded like via telephone. Like the adults from Charlie Brown /​Peanuts.
I live in a crappy area of North Hollywood and the property MUST remain gated and locked at all times.
YOU WOULD THINK a legitimate and upstanding business WOULD KEEP A REGULAR APPOINTMENT.
But no. They’re completely useless. The pool is rarely without algae. The kids leave a mess behind nearly every week. They forget to reassemble the filter and basket. They drag the hose to the front of the house and leave it there. They no-​show or arrive too late to get the job done.
Save your sanity. Save your property. AVOID SPECTRUM at all cost. I’d give zero stars if possible.
Get your company together, Larry. STOP letting children run your office and stop letting children service your customers.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. And a fine F YOU to «Amanda». You are absolutely hands-​down AWFUL at customer service. I’m pretty sure you also work for CRIME WARNER CABLE with your foul attitude and do-​nothing behaviour.
I’ll be telling anyone and everyone in the SFV how abhorrent your collective behaviour and customer service have become over the years. I’d be shocked if you were still employed after the new year.

They do a good job. My ph levels are always correct and my water is always sparkling. No complaints. Fast, dependable and affordable.

BEST pool service I’ve ever come across. They came out same day, within a few hours to repair a broken pool heater. Excellent customer service, Miguel is VERY knowledgeable, if you’re looking for an expert that knows it all, look no further, you will not find any better pool care service. They are very professional and their pricing is also very reasonable. Several people had unsuccessfully tried to repair our pool heater as it become problematic– I’m so glad I found this company because they were finally able to resolve all issues.

They Installed a pool heater and I couldn’t have asked for a better guy than Thommo. He knows his stuff and explained everything that he was going to do. Very happy with the job, cleaned up after themselves, and just generally a good team. Special thanks to Nadra in the office who kept me up to date. Would I refer them to my friends? For sure, and we will definitely be calling them if anything else is needed

Been a satisfied customer for years now. They have been the most reliable and honest pool service I’ve ever used. The whole team provides great customer service and they are fairly priced.

I would like to update my review. After a poor experience with Spectrum, they did eventually do everything possible to mitigate the problem I had. And now things are working again. Though I do wish when I first had my LED light installed they explained to me that there were several problems reported with these lights… and when I did have problems they acknowledged them, instead of telling me it was something I was possibly doing wrong.

Chris was great! On time and no hidden charges – refreshing to get what was agreed upon:)

We’ve been happy customers of Spectrum Pool Care for over 10 years. Office and technical staff have always been top notch, especially Rudy, or chief service provider in the field. He’s very conscientious and proactive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services. PS. We have a standard, chlorine based pool and jacuzzi.

I recently purchased a house that had a pool with automation and a broken down heater from 1995. I called around to various pool places but after talking with Mark from Spectrum I knew I had my guy. I service my own pool so I cannot speak to their service business but Mark replaced my heater with a new one, new variable speed filter, and iAqualink automation so I can control the pool from my computer or phone. Mark did all the work in one day and showed me everything I needed to know. Could not ask for anything more.

I was fortunate indeed the day I happened upon Spectrum’s business card. My pool had been greener than green and my pool guy at the time wasn’t doing what was necessary to clean it, so I called Larry. He came to my house that day, fixed the problem, and my pool has been sparkly clean ever since. That was 12 years ago. Spectrum services my pool on the same day every single week without fail. I have used Spectrum for about 2 years, and I estimate 60−70% of the time something doesn’t go right, from unusual billing processes, to overbilling, to poor communication about what will be performed, to leaving a sloppy mess on my driveway and street after completing their work.
They are very nice people (even refunded me on a poor job in the past), but it’s time for me to move on. I have a busy schedule and don’t like having to spend time just to fix things most times after they do their work.
