History

Established in 1988.

Photography by Zarek began in Connecticut servicing Connecticut and New York City shooting fashion for a children magazine, weddings and portraiture. In 1992 Zarek relocated the business to Sherman Oaks, CA because it was time for a change and realized he would be able to shoot weddings and events year round. In 1999 Zarek saw a demand for a better quality of video for events and expanded becoming Photography and Video By Zarek. Zarek has been flown worldwide to cover weddings and events for clients, celebrities and major political figures. With this love for the outdoors and mountains, Zarek has now expanded, adding a second studio location, Bass Lake, Ca.

Zarek’s love for photography some might say was in him since birth. At age 6, he received his first camera. He has had a camera in his hand ever since. At age 10 Zarek began printing his own black and white. He built his first darkroom in the basement of his parents house by age 11 and the love for this medium flourished through high school and into college. And the rest, as is said, is history.
