Walked in and we were seated right away but that’s expected since the place wasn’t so busy. Food came out pretty fast too but it wasn’t all that great. Main reason for my review is that the chefs and waitresses were drinking on the job! As I was waiting for the check my server wouldn’t even look my way! They were all too busy pouring shots. Thankfully another server who was helping out the couple next to us asked if we needed anything and I said the check so she went and told our server. Very unprofessional

I am feeling a little guilty for eating so many rolls, but then again I don’t feel guilty, I’m a big girl and i knew what I was signing up for, a whole lot of fresh sushi and delicious rolls. Did I opt for the all you can eat? yep! and did I love everything I ordered? yep, right again. Will I be coming back? guilty as charged, now pass me the ginger.

All you can eat for lunch. Can’t go wrong here. Located on Ventura blvd, it can be hard to spot. Find parking in the back instead of on the street. Pros: — good prices(all you can eat is about $ 22 for lunch) — great food(actually had flavor! A lot of all you can eat spots lack flavor) — friendly staff — not crowded — clean Cons: — Staff seems a bit overworked. Maybe hiring more staff would help. I had to flag down the waitress multiple times for more water and ginger. It seemed she was a little overwhelmed. Overall this is a great spot. I’ll overlook the service. The food, atmosphere and prices are great. Enjoy!

Delicious sushi and really friendly customer service. The only problem is parking. There is no parking by the restaurant. Also, the restaurant is very small, and on Friday/Saturday nights you can expect a long line with an hour wait time. However, the food and customer service more than make up for all those inconveniences in my book. The selection of sushi is large. My favorite sushi place. Never disappointed.

I just moved out to Sherman Oaks this past weekend and decided to pig out and get AYCE sushi on my first official night there. I’ve heard mixed reviews about Midori Sushi. Some great and some terrible. Here’s what I think after trying it for the first time on a Sunday night: The good: –From my experience, the service was not just«eh,» it rocked! We were seated immediately and the servers were very attentive and did not miss a thing. –A large variety of options. Plenty of sushi, rolls, hand rolls, and sides to choose from. –The«Sexy» Roll — get it! –Baked mussels — it has a kick to it. Not sure what spice they added to the mayo, but it was delicious. The«eh»: –You only get one order of sweet shrimp, uni, tobiko, and a couple other higher quality sushi. This is totally understandable and pretty standard at AYCE places. –The quality is decent. I’ve had better fish, but it’s not bad at all. Pretty tasty. The not so good: –The value since you only technically get 1 hour before they kick you out. $ 30/person for 1 hour is great if you can inhale food, but most of us can’t or won’t. –The tuna is not good quality. Pass on the tuna and eat extra salmon. Overall, I would come back. But I would not wait more than 30 minutes.

Food, food and more food! Me: I’m so full I can’t eat another bite. Wait, are we getting dessert? 3.5 stars and I’m rounding up to 4 We came here on New Year’s Eve for dinner because my friends really wanted sushi. They wanted to get the AYCE(all you can eat) for $ 28. However, I just wanted to order something on the menu because I’m not a big fish eater. The problem with this is if you are sitting at a table together one person is not allowed to not order the AYCE. So being the nice friend I am I ordered the AYCE so the rest of the table could order it as well. Some rules to be aware of when ordering the AYCE . –You must eat everything you order or you will have to pay for it. This means you pay the $ 28 and on top of that you pay for what the price of the roll normally is. –You only have 1 hour to eat and you can’t take any of the food home. –This does not apply to take out orders. –You’re not allowed to substitute any of the rolls with brown rice, even though they carry brown rice. This rule is not stated under the rules either.(I wasn’t happy they wouldn’t give me brown rice and even talked to a manager). We ordered a lot of rolls, and when I say a lot at least 20. Because of these rules I ate passed my capacity, of course because we didn’t want to pay any extra! We were all so full it was ridiculous! Most importantly, the saddest part was no one had room for dessert. We physically could not put one more bite into our bodies. The food here is 4 stars, 5 stars for their chicken and 2 stars for service. The first time I came here service was pretty bad and the second time it was decent but nothing great. I did roll myself out of here since I could barely move. Parking is limited in their lot but there is valet for $ 5. You could probably find street parking if your lucky.

MIDORIIII!!! Midori used to be a staple for me as a student… AYCE Sushi? What a bargain right… Ah… Alas in the past 3 years… I think things have changed. Too many people abusing the system perhaps. Whats changed? Quality of Sushi: Still ok… not the greatest… The sushi quality at Midori used to be better just 1 – 2 years ago, but recently has been not so great. That said its not terrible and worthwhile to some extent but… maybe not for the price. Price: Midori has become so much more expensive… I was just there and nearly paid 40+ per person while the quality has perhaps declined… Service: Be aware… as with all AYCE restaurants you need to finish your food… but even if one piece is left the crew wont give you your bill… Thats definitely trouble… not a fan. Be a little understanding Midori… Come on. End of the Day: For the price… its worth while to just spend your $ 35 – 40 at a good sushi restaurant Happy eating my friends and stay hungry!

I remember going once on a Friday or Saturday night and it was packed. The place is a bit small so we had to wait a while. I went today(a Tuesday) with a friend and we had AYCE. The server was so attentive. Picked up every little thing and was quick with refills. The sushi was fresh. They did happen to forget one of my rolls I ordered but I just happened to order another one.

My go to spot for AYCE sushi after Hot Yoga across the street. Yes, constant Oxymoron of my life. The sushi isn’t Quality, which you can never expect at any AYCE. The chefs and waitor/waitresses are Vietnamese and Mexican while the owner is Korean. This is a spot for cheap, casual, no pretentious sushi(Id rate the sushi 3⁄5 but overall Price & Service a 4.5). I usually sit at the bar & order off the sushi Menu(salmons my favorite!). Their #4 roll is good: the spicy tuna topped with salmon in Midori sauce(spicy cilantro sauce).

I came here when it was all you can eat, I wish I can rate 0 stars but I’ll settle for 1 star this time, because the food is fairly good but I asked for no rice on my Spicy tuna hand roll, and they said they will charge extra for no rice, tell me why anyone would charge more for less food? It just doesn’t make sense to me, terrible customer service. Food is okay.

Decent tasting sushi for an all you can eat place, they have more appetizers than most sushi places I’ve been to & you aren’t limited to 1 per person like most all you can eat places do. I ended up having more rolls than actual sushi because they put a ton of rice under the sushi. The parking lot is tiny so you might have to park on the street. The food is decent for a near $ 30AYCE sushi place, it was worth it to try some different rolls but nothing really stood out that would have me come back unless I was in the area.

Solid place if you’re looking for AYCE sushi and a big selection of sushi and rolls. The fish was all fresh and the rolls were good. The only thing that kind of irked me was one waiter dropped some metal rack from the counter into my soy sauce and proceeded to ignore it and not offer up a new plate. it’s around $ 30 for the AYCE option and they offer up items such as Uni(one order per person). the place is kind of small, so expect a wait if you go during peak times

At first glance this place seems pretty promising. A hole in the wall sushi joint that’s AYCE? Jumpin gee wilikers! I was ecstatic when I found out about this place! I love sushi like a fat kid loves cake! This place has both good and bad qualities. I’ve been back several times to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately the bad always outweighed the good. Con’s: located in a shopping complex on Ventura Blvd with a very small parking lot. Restaurant is pretty tiny. Coming here on a Friday or Saturday evening is like a death wish. Expect to wait for almost one hour to be seated. In the evenings the parking lot is occupied by mandatory«valet». So, if you don’t want to pay someone $ 5 to park your car 2 feet away come early and find street parking. The sushi chefs are a hit and miss. Sometimes you get your sushi half way rolled and it falls apart upon entry. Pro’s: once you get over the parking and seating problems, sit back and enjoy your gluttonous meal. The staff is friendly but very strict when it comes to sticking to the AYCE menu. The fish quality itself is not bad. They have a ton of different rolls. Presentation is not too shabby. Didn’t get a tummy ache from this place. The AYCE menu is about $ 29 and drinks are not included. If you’re looking for more bang from your buck this is the spot for you. If you’re looking for fresh fish and good quality you may want to skip this place.

Not the first place I’d choose for sushi. My friend and I came here on an evening one night, I came for the sushi, my friend for the chicken teriyaki(she’s not much of a raw fish eater). The wait was pretty long, the host said 30 minutes but we ended up waiting longer. The tables are extremely close together so at times you end up hearing either the first half or the second half of your neighbors conversation. The customer service is sloppy and poor. They will pretty much ignore you until you start using large waving hand gestures. They wont fill your water glass even if you ask and my waitress walked away from me on two separate occasions in the middle of a question. When my sushi roll was brought out to me she threw it on the table which caused some of my food to fly off my plate onto the tablecloth. I looked at her for an explanation and she said«Well, is there anything else I can do!» I should of asked her to take it back and bring me a new one, however, I didn’t want anyone to spit in my food. I always worry about sending food back. The food was acceptable, nothing to scream about but wasn’t terrible either. The pineapple sake ended up tasting too sweet, but I did love the flavor of the hot green tea, it was perfect for a chilly night. My friend said she really enjoyed her chicken teriyaki, it was nice juicy white meat and not too dry. Overall average tasting and I believe there are far better sushi restaurants in the Valley that offer not only great exceptional food but much better service as well. This wouldn’t be the first place I’d pick if I were craving sushi.

ALLYOUCANEAT = the magic words for me… However when we arrived, I was saddened that I wouldn’t be able to eat off that menu for I have food allergies :(I wasn’t too too disappointed(enough for me to leave) because the prices on the a la cart menu were VERYREASONABLE it’s just, instead of sitting at a table, we had to sit at the sushi bar, and I HATETHAT!!! It’s quite the invasion of the personal bubble– makes me feel claustrophobic like sitting in the window seat of an airplane with an obese person sitting in the middle seat. Any who… I quickly got over that because the food looked out of this world good!!! My dining companion ordered 4 rolls, definitely getting his money’s worth… And his stomach’s worth, lol… And I ordered 5 salmon skin handrolls, 1 unagi handroll and a hamachi kama! HOLYSLIPPERYFISHYUM!!! The salmon skin handrolls may be the best I’ve ever had… Definitely rivaling my #1 sushi spot in Hollywood… The perfect amount of crisp and fatty and meaty… And LOADSOFIT in each rice-less Handroll!!! Oh and the hamachi… Have a foodgasm in front of everyone PHENOMENAL! Seriously… Everyone sitting at the sushi bar definitely got to see my O– face! The rolls my dining partner got were extremely tasty according to him, but by the last roll he felt like he was going to explode… But that’s what happens at ALLYOUCANEAT… If you don’t finish everything, you have to pay normal price! I forced him to shove it ALLINHISFACE! Wow I love this place EVENIF I HADTOPAYTHEREGULARPRICES. If it were closer to where I live, I would be scared for my current FAVORITE sushi restaurant… **The only negatives were that I was confused as to how to order and I really really hate sitting at sushi bars!
